Poor, unclean, no service, slow
2 days before arriving in ipoh, I called the hotel and requested an early check in. half an hour prior to arriving, I call again and got informed no room was available. But we still decided to check in and were in no hurry to get a room. Suprisingly upon arrival, a room was ready. Thats the extent of my happy surprise. The room we got was dusty, the sheet was torn, there was hair on the bed, the bath looked like no one had cleaned it for weeks. So naturally, I called the reception to request a different room. 15 minutes went by, no call back. I called again. She said she is awaiting housekeeping to confirm which room is available. Guess what? 5 minutes later, housekeeping is knocking on my door, ready to clean my room. I storm downstairs, make it clear that i want to CHANGE my room and the manager was nice enough to accomadate us to change room(this after the reception repeatedly told me no other room is availlable). Seems to a be a miracle how their rooms suddenly become available. The new room was alright, but no face towel and floor towel was provided. The bath towels also had a weird scent. I know its minor stuff, but when you have booked a 4 star, it isnt what you expect. The following day, housekeeping came when we were not ready. I informed them to return in 10 minutes when we have left. 2 hours upon returning from our outing, we came back to an unkept room. and then dong dong, house keeping is at the door again. In my surprise at their time understanding, i told them i will call in the evening when I am going out again, but they informed i can only call them again after 5pm. ok, sure, why not? I go down at 6 to the restaurant, inform the reception to get housekeeping to come in. There are no staff at the restaurant, we sat 15 minutes waiting for a menu and though we could see the staff walking around, we were informed only one person was on duty. So by the time we got our meal done, it was almost 7. Guess what again? no housekeeping came.

not so good hotel
due to old furniture, bad parking, food not nice but staff is very friendly

Bathrooms were slightly dirty. No iron in the room inspite of 4* rating
I am temporarily disabled so the room n facilities given were adequate. Tq.
