Gutes Hotel in der Naehe des Cenang Beach

Das Hotel hat eine sehr grosszuegige Anlage und liegt direkt am Strand von Cenang. Die Anlage verfuegt ueber einen Suess- und einen Salzwasserpool. Das Fruehstueck ist gut und reichhaltig und auch das Restaurant bietet ein gutes Preisleistungsverhaeltnis.
Negativ zu erwaehnen ist unser Bungalow der direkt hinter dem Versorgungsgebaeude des Pools lag. Hier waren den ganzen Tag Maschinengeraeusche zu hoeren. Das Schild "Beware of Jellyfish" am Hotelstrand hielt uns davon ab im Meer baden zu gehen.

Excellent hotel!

Frangipani is a great hotel for families with small children. The pool is big and there is a small kids pool also. Restaurant serves good food although breakfast was nothing special. Entertainment in the evenings was not too late or loud and very child friendly. Hotel is located right on the beach and close to watersport activities and Cenang town. Spa was closed when we visited and gym is basic but friendly staff make up for this.

We paid approximately RM1000/night for a room facing the beach. It was the Easter weekend, and prices were expected to be high. But RM1000/night does not justify the amenities we had during the long weekend.
There were two staff to greet us during check-in. One of them was not that friendly Nonetheless, the check-in was done pretty fast.
One good thing about this hotel is that they have joint-rooms, separated by a door. We requested for a baby cot too, and that was given.
The hotel had their own beach, very relaxing.
Breakfast was reasonable too.

Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa is overpriced & overrated. The toilets badly needed some renovation. We found bugs & insects in the room. Breakfast was nothing special. Overall, it was a bad choice.

nice hotel, great location but needs some tlc

we were a family with 2 young children and a set of grandparents, so finding a hotel to combine both sets of needs can be tricky. we had 2 garden villa, - interconnecting. the rooms are big and spacious and spotlessly clean with comfy beds. the staff were all very friendly and helpful. the pool is great and it was fantastic to be able to sit and eat breakfast whilst watching our kids play on the beach. the only down side is the resort and rooms are a bit tired and in needs of some tlc. the hotel advertises as eco friendly and it was nice to see that being put into place. with a bit of paint and some of the facilities being upgraded this could be a very nice resort.
Reiseempfehlung:
Sagar is a great indian restaurant next door to frangipani as was the sun cafe. We walked into pantai tenaga area for food which was easy to do. Excellent seafood at the orchid ria restaurant

Lovely hotel and service with a smile

The first evening we have ordered dinner at the restaurant and were not satidfied. But I admit that we have chosen the "wrong" dish. Hotel bar is good.Use the hotel travel agency to go to tours.
We were satisfied by boongalo type of the hotel, as not bothering our neighbours and we did not hear any noise from the outside. Very big and comfy bed.Breakfast is good.
The hotel is peaceful, clean with nice swimming pools. Availability of private beach is pro. Great location near Chenang beach, a lot of places to eat.
The only con to my opinion is the absence of Wi-fi in the room

overall we found nothing great at this place for the price we paid but i guess that is probably the norm in langkawi given the high prices all around. frangipani has the advantage of being one of the few resorts near cenang beach where there is lot of activity. rooms were average, breakfast was particularly lacking. given a 4 star rating i expected more option and better tasting food and was found wanting. the pool bar is not particularly good.
Restaurantempfehlung:
Food outside the hotel is very good. Lot of options diffferent cuisines, sea food etc.. Our recommendations would go to suncafe opposite to the hotel, red tomato on cenang beach. Try the mangrove tour, island hopping, cable car and other activities. Tanjung rhu beach is also a must go.
