The staff, particularly Ms Nwet Nwet Yee were absolutely wonderful. The facilities are clean and the view at the restaurant is great for sunset. Highly recommend staying here

The property was absolutely beautiful! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay than Thande in Old Bagan. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, attentive & too kind. The hotel manager allowed me for a late checkout as my flight out of NYU was on a 6 hr delay. The service, food, location of the property was perfect - pool also a plus! E bike rentals, tuk tuks, ballon ride, surrounded by incredible temples & pagodas - was everything & more!

Beautiful hotel and excellent service”
I stayed at Bagan Thande Hotel (Room 1021) for just one night but I wish I could extend my stay. I arrived at 6.30am, after a long bus ride from Yangon without much sleep. Although my room wasn't ready yet, I am extremely grateful that the staff let me use the shower facilities so I can freshen up before I set off for a full day Bagan tour. The shower pressure is decent and the bed is firm, great for a restful sleep after a full day tour. WiFi connection is excellent everywhere. I also tried the hotel breakfast buffet (10USD) which is fairly simple but sufficient to kickstart the day. The dinner a la carte menu features a good variety of Western & Asian cuisine. The hotel ground is really beautiful with a pub by the Riverside. I strongly recommend that you enjoy sunset at the pub which is a far better experience than braving the crowd at the popular sunset/sunrise spot. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe in this hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I return to Bagan.

Old style hotel in a wonderful tropical garden at the Irawaddy river. Restaurant on a terrace at the riverside. Rooms with mahogany wood beds. Comfortable and beautiful. Good breakfast and dinner. Very nice staff. We really liked it.

A beautiful spot from which to explore Bagan and you can walk to some of the attractions and to town. Our first room was not up to our expectations but the staff took great imitative to change it and we were happily placed in a lovely garden room. Indoor and outdoor restaurants offered buffet breakfasts (get in early for hot). Waiters were attentive but not hovering as we found in some places. Lovely riverside bar to wait the sun go down. Easy to catch an bike or tutu (tuk tuk) just outside the hotel. Look for Myo, who was a fantastic tutu driver and took us around Bagan all day for a very decent price. We loved our stay and will be back.

Economical and good location”
The hotel has one of the best location because it is in Old Bagan, so very near to the huge temples. The price is also good and huge rooms. The things to improve is for the reception. When I was there, I paid already in cash the hotel rooms and for the hot air balloon but I noticed that they doubted me when I said I will pay later for the e-bike which is way less amount than initially paid. Another thing is that tourist prefers to be assisted and go to the touristic sites but the reception told me that I should go to the office of the hot air balloon company to pay.

Located right in archaeological area”
The hotel is quite flexible. We arrived at 6am and the staffs let us check in earlier without any surcharge. We also paid half the room price to extend our check out to 7pm. It’s very convenient as you can rent an ebike for the temple hopping. However, there’s no convenient store or nice restaurant nearby so you will have to go to Nyaung U or New Bagan for those. Overall it’s a very quiet and relaxing place. I enjoyed my stay here very much!

Beautiful resort situated in the old Bagan river bank. Breakfast in front of the river in the morning is the highlight of this hotel. It simply takes your breath away. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Can't complain.
