Bandung City Center hotels & places to stay

My name is Tommy Leonardi and i stayed at room number 921. I really had a wonderful time during my one night stay at the hotel. I checked in on the 05/07/14 and checking out on the 06/07/14. On the night of the 06/07/14 i had a wedding invitation somewhere in Bandung city. I contacted one of the hotel staff saying that i wanted a late check out because me & my wife would like to prepare ourselves 2 hours before the weding invitation started. I told them that it is fine for them to charge extra for the late check out. At first they informed that the cost will be Rp.420,000 ++ if checking out at 4pm so i said that i agreed with the conditions. Suddendly 5 mins later one of the staff called my room again & said that the duty manager are giving me NO EXTRA CHARGE for the late check out! I thought WHAT? Is this for REAL? I was surprised when i heard that. I thought to myself that i never had any experience with such kindness anywhere in the world which i had travelled before. It is a one time experiece which i will never forget. But regretfully i forgot to ask the name of the duty manager which was on duty that day. If you will be kind enough to tell me the name of the person will be grateful. I would like to nominate him as one of the best staff in the hotel for his kindness & understanding. I also would like to send a gift as token of my appreciation for such a greatt staff. I guess that's about it! Hope to stay in Trans Hotel again in the future & definetely will recommend it to all my friends out there.. Definetely 6 stars...

Mercure Bandung City Centre is a new and hip place to stay in. It wasn't too expensive but I don't consider it very cheap either. But since it is new, I didn't mind paying the amount that I did. The decor of the hotel is modern and very pleasant. The room was quite spacious, and the bed very comfortable. I also spent considerable time at the pool, which was not very big but sufficient to do some laps. The deck chairs did not have cushions so they tend to get a little hot under the sun but you could get a towel and use that to lay on. When it got too hot, the couch and chairs in the shade were very comfortable. I most enjoyed the service provided by the staff, who were always friendly and helpful! And I'm not only talking about people at the front desk. The servers in the restaurant were awesome, so were the guys at the pool, and the housekeeping staff! However, because it is a new hotel, it has the expected teething problems. The most jarring problem that stood out to me was the breakfast in the hotel cafe. For 4 mornings, I only enjoyed the congee and the egg station, because they were the only hot food available (there was also soto in a boiling pot but I did not eat that). The other food, like the fried noodles, fried rice, vegetables etc that were in food warmers were cold because the heaters were not turned on. That defeats the purpose of putting the food in the warmers... I had dinner in the restaurant at the first night as well and the food took a very long time to come as well. But the staff were so nice that I didn't mind the wait too much. Continue to improve, Mercure Bandung City Centre! I might come back again.

Was planning to stay here after i visited the mall before, because of the location. Shopping mall just downstairs, it is quite near Bandung city center, too, and no need to worry about where to eat or if I didn't bring anything as it is very easy to shop. There's train station nearby. The point is: the location is superb! It's a new hotel, so it's clean, the walls, the bed, the linen, the bathroom c3ramic and sink

The moment that we have reached Bandung city at the airport, we were greeted by the driver who was happily holding on to our names in hand. Upon seeing us, he greeted us with, " Welcome to Bandung, let me assist you in bringing you to the hotel" and I dare say that the moment he whisked us away, we were in a sort of a dream vacation. The check in was a little delayed as there was a large group checking in ahead of us but it wasn't a big deal as we were served with complimentary fruit juices that was freshly-squeezed from the restaurant next-door. We had the guava and it was utterly refreshing! We booked a suite and upon entering the room, we were greeted by a 270 degree view of the city of Bandung! We were happily lapping it up in the huge suite sized at 37 sq metre which is actually comfortable for 3 people too since there's a lounge seat long enough to act like a bed, facing one half of the view of the city! There is truly nothing to fault about the hospitality of the people there. Every one of the staff was friendly to no end that it was overwhelming! We've never visited any country with a greater amount of happy people in and out of the hotel! On top of that, the breakfast buffet was fantastic! There was fresh waffles served according to your choice of dippings and variations aside from the usual egg station. What's not to love, really? We'll definitely be back in Bandung and for sure Hotel California Bandung is the only one we are going to stay in for the duration that we are there!

I had a good relaxing stay at Fabu Hotel. It was a good impression at the beginning when I mistakenly booked an extra night via Agoda, but the hotel allowed a cancellation of the additional night without charge. Check-in was seamless and fast, and I was satisfied with the room cleanliness and size. What I love most was the staff friendliness and helpfulness. I have been asked a couple of times how I felt about their hotel and stay. In addition, they went an extra mile to print me a map of the town from their computer when I asked whether there was a map available of Bandung city. Food was pretty good and not too overpriced (for ala-carte dinner) that I had. Breakfast on the other hand, was simple and basic, but sufficient.

after almost 2 hours driving from jakarta to bandung, and additional 3 hours driving in bandung city to cikole, lembang and back to the city accompanying my children having outbound activity there, finally, at around 6pm we arrived at aston hotel in braga i can say, it was one of my awesome stay since beginning until leaving from hotel. two days before checking in i purchased reasonable voucher from agoda, and during check-in, i had no hard questions from the front office officer (i like this), and not more than 5 minutes, i already had the keys and enter my room my wife just very surprised with the condotel facility in aston with that price. since very tired and sleepy, we just went down to the braga city walk which just located "in the hotel", having light dinner, and killing time by playing some games in the amazone we slept well, and never went out from room until brunch time when we start having breakfast, and continue stay in the room until all of family member fresh it was again one of my most pleasant stay in the hotel with worth price. thanks agoda

Arion Swiss Bel Hotel Bandung is an excellent hotel if you want to stay long in Bandung. The room is nice and its amenities are great. After a long day of factory outlets shopping, you would appreciate the comfort of the Arion Swiss Bel Hotel room. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located near Pasar Baru, where you can buy a lot of cheap and good quality local items. The Hotel building also look new and the hotel lobby is nice and tidy. Overall, I would rate Arion Swiss BelHotel as the best hotel in Bandung and I would love to stay here on my next trip to Bandung.

This is my first time stay at The Papandayan, the location in the city center helps me to enjoy the Bandung city area. The staff are also good.. So friendly and i love the ambience.. Actually for the facilities, it also nice but when i travelled there, there is some CSr activity with children and makes me reluctant to use the swimming pool. Also for the breakfast time is so crowd.. Maybe because it is during the weekend. Overall, im quite satisfy to use the interconecting room. and very enjoying the bed and pillows was great

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. The room was very clean and made up everyday. We initially thought it was a tiny space from the reviews we read but upon arriving, the room can easily fit a family with young kids coz they have a comfy window lounge tat can be a bed on its own.. without traffic its only 20mins away from Bandung City center but of course bandung is never without traffic unless you're travelling near midnight. Which was exactly what we did. we are out of our rooms by 8am and not back till after midnight so we can't really tell how bad the jams are. We hear it can be pretty bad. The hotel is attached to a major mall, Lotte Mart. We never stepped inside but if you're into malls, you will prob love this place.

beautiful hotel with friendly staff, good location, good food, good decoration. i was amazed at the beauty of Bandung city seen from the top of grand sovia hotel, the swimming pool was very beautiful, looks like staying in Bali. i definitely will come and stay again in this hotel everytime i visit bandung. and i will definitely recommend this hotel to my relatives and friends. Grand sovia's location is very comfortable especially for the ones who dont bring vehicles but want to stay near bandung culinary places because the location is exactly in front of the bandung train station.

I made a booking for a childhood friend of mine whom recently got married and was in Bandung for their first together trip with his wife and their first Honeymoon! I booked the rooms for them for the Deluxe Room King Bed which includes breakfast. After some research and reading up the good reviews of this place. This iconic curved-shaped building, Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel offers elegant rooms in Bandung’s city centre. The service of this hotel is above excellent. The rooms are very clean. Staying in Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel and you will learn its full history here. Authentic rooms with interior designs just done too perfectly. The location is simply strategic, in front of Museum KAA, nearby to Braga street and near Masjid Agung Bandung. Distance to the airport is not too far away. This hotel met my friend’s expectation. Featuring free Wifi connections around the hotel vicinity was way too good for them. This is my friend’s review and feedback after they got back to Singapore. They loved this hotel and definitely would be a great memory for them here especially for his wife. She was just too amazed with the lovely great decorations done in the room for them! Really appreciate the kind staffs over the past day there. Nice place, warm service, great panorama, delicious food, good daily activities, strong wifi access and with the right person to call off this fantastic perfect honeymoon. The feeling there was like Oh My God!!! Fabulous!!! Fantastic!!! Everything is like heaven here, Said his wife. There are no words that can describe the place, simply beautiful, cozy and memorable experience here. They will definitely come back here when they visit Bandung again. Bandung is well known as for its craters and banana snacks. I have experinced both when I visited Bandung recently ( 15 - 18 May ). The crater at Tangkuban Prahu is unimaginably so huge and mystifying to every first time visitor. The white steam slowly rising at the furtherst end, passing fog and the chilly air, will certainly transport you back to the medieval ages where fire breathing dragons flew over the area. We had earlier in the morning hired a MPV for the 12 hours Bandung City Tour and the charge was Rp 450,000 ( inclusive of driver, petrol, toll, parking and driver's meal. As our MPV drove downhill, we passed through the flower nurseries of Lembang. Most of the beautiful flowers were blooming in the afternoon and there were alot of local residents parking their cars to fetch the potted flowering plants back to their houses. The nurseries are enjoying good business here because of the coooler climate and the numerous rich people who own beautiful bungalows/resort homes on the slopes. You can see these beautiful homes/bungalow houses as you go down. We had lunch at a small restaurant along Jln Sukarjadi and this is the first that I sampled a Sunda cuisine. The menu is similar with Minang/Padang ( short for Minangkabau - district in Padang/Sumatra ) dishes but here they use less coconunt milk ( or santan kelapa , thus the dishes are less thick and not oily. To differentiate from Minang food, they added some indigenous herbs/leaves and you get a tangy/ bland taste. I tried two kinds of vegetables i.e. the nanka ( young jackfruit ) and jering ( a kind of purple nut split open ) and of course the authentic ayam bakar ( grilled chiken ) which is eaten with the uniquely red ( beetroot coloured ) sambal belacan (condiment ), the small salted squids and of course the staple - white rice. Atlantic City Hotel has strategic location in the heart of Bandung City.. I really love this hotel since its only walking distance to shopping mall Istana Plaza.. if you are looking for food, KFC, Richeese, Starbucks, etc are besides this hotel.. Even the parking lot is small, but free valet service from this hotel really help me a lot.. Note: there is no bath tub for superior room (as that is shown in the photo for superior room) and no hair dryer as well.. Wifi is quite good in the room..

Location wise, this is the perfect hotel spot if you want to stay in Bandung city center. The location is in the middle of the city and you can save more time to have a delicious cup of coffee in the cafe than stuck in the traffic. It is far from Lembang area, but, I always like Bandung Center, there are so many cool place and cute coffee shops to keep me busy, and I absolutely enjoy the kulinary food galore along the little restaurant around the city, so, yes, Citra dream is a good hotel. Do I will book for another stay ? Absolutely Yes

It was a nice hotel, located at the center of Bandung city. We can reach many attractive places at Bandung from this hotel. It also have a good parking space, clean and spacious bedroom, and nice swimming pool at the rooftop of the hotel. And since this hotel is near to the airport, then we can see air planes flying above us from the swimming pool. It is recommended for Families to stay at this hotel.

I was having a great stay in D'best. The room is quite comfortable, the location is quite neutral between Bandung city & south Bandung, quite easy to reach tourism destinations in Bandung. The hotel services are great, satisfying, & cost-efficient. Overall, it was a great experience staying in D'best, and I would like to comeback again to D'best in the future. I would also recommend this hotel for cost-concerned travels.

This hotel is located in the heart of city Bandung. It's just 10 minit from Bandung's airport. The hotel provide th airport transfer, in which I can save the taxi's cost. The hotel is just few minits walk to Braga's street, one of the most happening street in Bandung during the night time. Plenty of nice restaurant, cafe, pub, & bistro located within this street. Also, the hotel's staff help me to out-source the taxi driver to bring me to Tangkuban Parahu & Kawah Putih (two MUST VISIT places in Bandung). The rate is quite OK and the services are excellent. I enjoy in Bandung and possible will re-visit again.

I went with my friend to celebrate new year in Bandung and I choose this place. the location very good you can find many coffee shop among the hotel by walk 5-10 minutes. I got room 203 on the second floor. There's no mineral water and towel. And the closet on the bathroom very wet and lil bit dirty. On our last day, the breakfast too bad. the chicken is not fresh anymore and smell something. But overall this is a good place!

I traveled to Bandung with my husband, my 3 months old baby & 2 sisters. Booked 2 business rooms at Yokotel for 3 nights. Check-in process was very smooth. They require deposit money amounting IDR100,000. They will provide receipt, please keep & return it during check-out to get back your money. PROS The hotel interior is clean, tidy & consider new. The lift is well-functioning & fast. The Room is clean & cozy. The best thing is they provided wifi at each floors. :D (most of budget hotels in Bandung only provide wifi at lobby/ common area). They provide 2 bottles of 500ml mineral water & 2 sachets of Indocafe everyday (but you need to request for hot water/ electric kettle). Bathroom is in good condition. if you want to use hot water, you may need to leave the water runs for few minutes before you shower. I chose Yokotel because it is only 5-10 mins walk to Pasar Baru. Yokotel also near to Angkut & train station. It takes about 20-30 mins to Bandung Airport. CONS Sound insulation is quite poor. You can hear people talking & walking by the corridor, phone's ringing from other room, TV sounds & the door bell rings too loud. :D I suggest they install carpet at the corridor & sound insulation on the wall. OVERALL: My family were happy with the stay. Highly recommended for budget stay. I will stay here again in future.

This is my first time staying at this hotel. I got this when i browsed for hotels in Bandung, and it seems that it is very new hotel. It just started its operational for about 3 months. The first impression was, the location is just great. Eventhough it is far from the main attractions, but it just near from shops and cafes. So it is easy for us to get food. The staffs were friendly, the rooms was clean and tidy, eventhough the size is just okay to accommodate for three adults. They served breakfast that was worth-to-pay. We stayed there for 4 nights, and it seems that they changed the menu everyday. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at this hotel, and for sure, I will choose this hotel for my next visit.

My stay was really comfortable. Luckily I got a big room. The staff were really friendly. The bathroom was really clean. The disadvantages about the hotel are it's location is really difficult to find. The buffet breakfast spread are limited, not varieties. Overall my families were satisfied stayed here and definitely we will staying here if we visit bandung city in the future.
