A great place to stay that doesn't cost a fortune.”
Breeze guest house was very clean and pleasant. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, always happy to answer questions and point me in the right direction. Their English was superb and one of them is also a writer for the lonely planet. Breakfast was included in the price of a nights stay and can be enjoyed on the first floor balcony overlooking the Salween river. I highly recommend Breeze guest house to anyone.

Nice Place”
I had a great time during the two nights I stayed at Breeze Guest House. I've got a small room with a tiny window and it didn't have much space, only for you to put your backpack or stand next to your bed. So, the room is not the best and as I had the last one in the corridor the wifi didn't work in my room. The room doesn't look very clean, but it was actually one of the few places in Myanmar I could actually be barefoot after shower and wouldn't have dirty feet. :) Bathrooms are a mix of western and asian toilet, which is good but shower is cold. The bathrooms and bedrooms are not the most inviting, but is something you can handle if you are not really picky. On the ground floor by the reception there isn't much space to sit, but you can go upstairs where breakfast is served and there's a balcony. Staff are really friendly and speak good English. Breakfast is very basic (couple of toasts, jam, butter, boiled egg, a banana and 3in1 coffee or tea). In front of the Guest House many tuk-tuk and motor taxi drivers will offer you day-trips around the city. Near the day and the night markets.

Basic place, could be maintained a little better”
The basic rooms are tiny, with not much more space than what the bed occupies. The linen appeared not to have been washed in between guests and had bugs, though seems like they weren't bed bugs as there were no bites. The staff was okay, no problems. You do need to leave the key when you go out and they close the doors around 10:30pm, though this is okay as there is really not much to do in Mawlamyine. Great location, right on the sea.

Very good”
Breeze Guest House is a really good location for arriving in Myanmar. Sure, the rooms are very small - but they do it and you don't need much more. The location is good, you have a nice night market and a lot of food stalls just the street down. The staff is also very nice and try to help you with everything (boat trips to Hpa-An f.e.) Breakfast is light but nice too, banana, toast, egg, coffee - what more do you need. good value for the money!

Great value for your money”
We stayed at the Breeze guesthouse for 2 nights and were very pleased by our choice. First of all, the price is great, even if you get a small room with shared bathroom, this is all we needed. The place a quite clean (bathrooms could be better). The staff was super helpful and very nice. We rented a scooter and also arranged bus tickets with them. The breakfast is very simple but good.

Ignore The Others This Place is Cute”
I was surprised how nice this place was considering it was the cheapest guesthouse online in Mawleymine. And it had some negative reviews online, so I was a bit concerned when booking it, but it was cute! The Burmese family live in a flat upstairs and they let everyone into their lounge and balcony for breakfast with a view, it's a great chance to socialise with other travellers, or just admire the view if that's not your thing. The rooms and bathroom are clean but basic and the house looks like a old colonial building right on the riverside, super cute. The man at the reception desk was a bit grumpy but I would be too if I had to deal with being spoken to like a child by annoying travellers all day long ;) The Ogre Island tour is apparently really good although we didn't do it. Haven't really got anything bad to say about the place really, anyone who thinks this is a bad guesthouse has obviously not been to Soe Brothers in Hpa An 😂

Thanks a lot for your good feedback. We hope to see you again.
Facilities basic - all about the team”
The double room was small and basic but had everything a budget traveller needs - fan and good WiFi. The shared bathroom was OK. Hired bicycles and a scooter on separate days at reasonable prices. The staff were extremely helpful and enjoyable to be around. Ivan (Owner) was unbelievably friendly and generous, nearly to a fault! The tour with Mr Anthony was a must if you have the time. Thanks for a great stay Breeze.

Excellent”
During the night it was a bit busy due to the road in front but there was actually a breeze throughout the whole house which I was very thankful for. Also, the staff was lovely.

Popular backpacker guest house”
I'm surprised that this place has low feedback score. It is after all a guest house and not hotel. It ticks a lot of boxes, mainly the staff and onward travel advice. Anthony offers a tour of an island where a lot of cottage industry takes place conducted by tuk tuk at gentle speed.very good value. the main downside is that rooms are all sharing a limited space so voices can be heard.. beer is not available in hotel due to religous policy in most parts of town. Night market, 10 minutes walk away, beer can be bought.

Really friendly, talk good english”
I had a really nice time at Breeze guesthouse. Friendly people, the younger guy helped me out a lot and talks good english. An older man was really sweet, gave me a present and cookies for in the train. I really reccomend to stay here. Single rooms are okay, I see a lot that people say its to small, but for me it was not to small.. Thank you guys! Che zu ba!!

Great location, good budget option”
The location is excellent, great river views and short walk to the night market. I did their Bilu Island tour, which I enjoyed, and also rented a motorbike from them at a decent price. I booked a single room with shared bathroom, which were kept clean enough. The breakfast is basic (toast, a banana, and a hard boiled egg) but given how cheap this place is, I'd say it's good value and I'd stay here again.

Backpacker central!”
I think the Breeze is family owned, which makes it charming in my book. Breakfast was the standard tea/coffee, toast, eggs, and banana, but eating upstairs on the balcony was an extra treat. We stayed in one of their nicer rooms with attached bathroom, which I was very glad for. Our room had no windows, was floor to ceiling tile, and had AC and a great fan. The bathroom was a bit swampy, but it was much better than the shared bath situation. The budget-level rooms seem really small. If you can afford it, splurge on a nicer room.

A must do”
Owner is adorable and will teach you about Buddhism if interested. Nice breakfast. Big house. Good situation. You can rent a motorbike. Kindness of staff is definitely an asset.

Ideal budget hotel”
Stayed at the breeze for two nights in May and found it comfortable and ideally situated with great views from the breakfast balcony. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, arranging my car back to Myawaddy. It is not a fancy hotel by any stretch of the imagination but for the price was fine.

You get what you pay for”
A lot of people on Agoda seemed to complain about staying here but in the end, you got what you paid for, which is why I gave it higher rankings. The rooms have vents in them so it's possible to hear people near you and in the common area. As long as you come here with few expectations, all in all, it's not that bad. If you're expecting the Marriot Hotel then book somewhere else but if you're a backpacker then you should be used to having less than optimal conditions. The main reason to stay here is to hopefully get a personal tour of Bilu Island from the main man himself, Tony (Anthony), who is an absolute legend and an incredible tour guide. Hard to understand at first but by the end of the day tour we were talking about all kinds of subjects about Burmese life and his own experiences.

breeze guest house has a nice location and offers a nice trip to an island close by. the staff is nice but doesnt speak very good english...sometimes is hard to understand them. the room had a weird smell, as the sheets. toilets were not very good either: very little pressure, old and dirty. however, if youre travelling on a budget and just plan to stay for one night its perfectly fine! lots of people fo there which is also nice. breakfast nothing special either.

guest house staff very nice esp. the owner Mr Ivan. Taught me how to meditate. Just be careful about the motorbike driver for one-day trip. Make sure you get a honest one.
