The hotel is very clean and has a good position to explore cat ba island. Close to all you need and the centre of the town, but away from all the noises of the karaokebars. We got a bigger room without asking for it, and stayed 5 nights instead of the 2 we booked. The owner is really friendly, honest and has lots of information and recommendations about cat ba and the north of vietnam. We did the boattour she offered and it was way better than expected. Also the bus we booked at the hotel to Ninh Binh was the best bus we had so far (even with wifi and charger and it was cheaper than booking online) we really recommend this hotel if you go to vietnam, we really hope to come back one day..

Great Staff”
The staff was amazing! I didn't get her name, but the woman at reception was the most helpful hotel staff I encountered throughout travelling through Vietnam for the past month. She explained the tour packages available thoroughly, always offered us extra coffee at breakfast, and even helped me set up a mini office for an important video conference. She always anticipated our needs, she was so great! The room was large, bright, clean and spacious. However the bathroom itself kind of had a sewer smell to it, but it was forgivable because there was constant hot water (without the water heater).

The place is new, opened in April 2018. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel is located a short walk up hill from the seaside. The owner is amazing. He took me to Cannon Fort on his bike, booked a last minute transportation to the Haiphong Airport and even drove me to the bus. It's a great place to stay.

It's best hotel in this price range. We were a group of 12 people stayed at Cat Ba Green for 02 days. We all agreed to vote 10/10 for this hotel. The room is big, clean and quite. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient and in the center of the town. We will come back.

Exceptional Small Boutique Hotel”
The Cat Ba Green Hotel is a small, about thirty room, family owned and run hotel. It is well situated a short walk from the foreshore, quiet at night and spotlessly clean. It was built about three years ago. Breakfasts are very good selected from a menu rather than buffet style. The thing that sets this hotel apart and makes it truly exceptional is its staff headed by one of the owner's wives. A former French teacher, she speaks excellent English and could well teach that also. Her personality is genuinely sunny and outgoing and she is able to give accurate advice on any tour or travel requirements and indeed organise all your flights or whatever else you need. She is truly a gem.

Spent a lot of time inside”
Unfortunately, we both got sick during our time in Cat Ba, so we were in the hotel for a lot of it. We had a great green view, the facilities worked well and the staff were very helpful. Good breakfast too! They let us borrow a kettle and mugs to make tea and soup. Easy to walk anywhere from this hotel. Would stay again.

Clean and super comfortable rooms, helpful staff”
The room was clean, spacious and very well maintained. Bathrooms are clean too. Hot water available round the clock. The front desk staff was super helpful, speaks good english and very informative. We rented motorbike from the hotel. Several restaurants are within 5 minutes walkable distance. The cat-ba main area in front of the pier is just a 10 minute walk. Absolutely hassle-free stay.

Quiet location, nice staff, clean room”
I spent three nights here. Staff was really friendly, room clean and they clean it every day ( change the towels, clean the floor etc.) When I asked for some "special breakfast" not a typical combo of banh-mi and eggs but just eggs and than pancake on separate plate, they were willing to get me that and although I was ready to pay extra, they did not ask for that.

Very nice hotel for reasonable price”
The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were able to book us reasonably priced day trips with ease. This hotel is a very nice quiet option with some charm and personality amongst larger hotels in the same area. My only complaint would be that the hotel Advertised that there is an ATM on site, however it was about an 8 minute walk down the road. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this family-run hotel.

Helpful, friendly staff. great breakfast, cleaned daily, not to far from the seafront...but, my bathroom (302) stunk to the point I'd have to hold my nose to go in there. Also the (toilet hose?) was either off, or fire hose setting, so unusable. I assume this was just mine...but best to check. I didn't complain to them, so I can not fault them for not fixing it. Perhaps this will help.

Great place in Cat Ba ”
This place was clean and comfortable, far away enough from the bars for a decent nights sleep and had excellent coffee. They booked us onto a boat tour for the same price as advertised in town and this was very good too. Bed was pretty hard as standard for Asia but can’t complain.
