Bologna hotels & accommodations

Great hotel, great service, great breakfast. Bare in mind, location is 25 minutes by car from city. There is only one local bus line (line 93) to city centre, and it only transits few times a day! Awfull! Once, it did not show up at all. We ended up using taxi every time, making our trip a lot expensive. Only use this hotel if you have your own means of transportatio...

Stayed for two nights at this hotel in Bologna. It is located directly across from Bologna Centrale Train Station so if you are coming by train to Bologna from different parts of Italy it is an ideal location. It is also within 15 or so minutes walking of many of the sites within the old city. Besides location, the hotel staff was also a plus. We had a few question...

We had a lovely week at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, reception set the standard. Upbeat ,helpful and charming. All the staff here were super. So a big thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. There's a relaxed atmosphere and lots of space to chill out. We loved the pool, trips into Bologna, And recommend the train to Venice for the day.

The hotel is opposite Bologna main train station and main bus station. You can go to Airport by Shuttle bus at 6 Euro. You can go to other cities in Italy by train without wake up very early to catch the train. This hotel ticks all the boxes, everything is outstanding. I would suggest if driving by car book the private garage. The hotel sends very good instructions on how to get there. It is very close to the hotel. There is a restricted driving zone in Bologna.

The hotel is well placed for the station and getting into the Main Square, both only three minutes and fifteen minutes walk respectively. The rooms were very clean, the staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast choice was of a high standard. I will definitely book to stay at the NH Bologna De La Gare again!

We were pleasantly greeted on arrival by the host and given detailed information on what we should do during our 1 day/night stay in Bologna. This B&B is situated in the heart of Bologna and is a short walk away from all of the key tourist attractions. It comes with all the luxuries of a hotel but remains homely and welcoming. We were stay at the Royal calton Hotel in Bologna was nice. We had large and comfortable room. And the hotel had a very good parking and the Wifi. The breakfast are not so good as we expect. We stayed at the hotel from 3 until 9 April 2016 specifically to attend Bologna International Children's Book Fair that happened from 4 until 7 April 2016 at Bologna Fiere. I've stayed at dozens of hotels in Europe and this one stands out as a gem. The location is superb - right in the very center of Bologna. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. The single room is as big as the bathroom. However the staff is usually nice and the location can be quite convenient. Last but not least price. If you are in Bologna passing by and need place to sleep may be this is the best price you can find!

The apartment was well furnished and contained all the amenities we needed (internet, small kitchen, etc). It's a short walk from Bologna Centrale station, and also in walking distance from the heart of the city where most of the historic sites are located. Located in a quiet neighborhood.

I really enjoyed my stay here especially as this hotel has the best view from its rooftop. Every staff is very helpful and speaks english very well (I found local people in Bologna don't really speak english). I would like to stay here again when I visit Bologna definitely.

Because the hotel is half an hour's drive outside Bologna, it is not an ideal location for visiting the city. In addition there is quite a noisy road nearby. The breakfast was excellent and the service there very friendly. Also our room was very comfortable and the triple glazing ensured we did not hear the noise from the road. A small point: we had to make a deposit f...

Breakfast has plenty of options to choose(cereals, jam, ham, cheese, pastries, breads, coffee, milk, soy milk) Cons: just a bit far from the city center. Overall: PERFECT

Though the hotel is situated in the University zone, it is difficult for me to drive in front of the hotel as ZTE is just outside. Moreover, you will feel not comfortable as you walk to the hotel with luggage as there are a lot of graffiti on the wall and street is dirty with bad smell. However, as you stay longer (several hours later), you will find a lot of young peo...

I booked it for 210 EUR per night, because almost all hotels were full. If I Know before that this place is so bad, I would move to another nearest city Florence or Rimini and use trains. i was quite impressed by the kindness and the service. the hotel is centrally located, near many touristic attractions and shops. the hotel is a good starting point to stroll around bologna under the famous "porticoes" and at evening time a lot of bars, restaurant and lounges are just within walking distance. the breakfast is actually quite good.

Bologna is most interesting over weekends when there are lots of free open air musical performances and when the pedestrian shopping steet, Via Del Indipendenza is the most vibrant.
Bologna is not very touristic as compared to other famous Italian cities. The university quarter there is very nice, with many interesting museums to see.
I went to Maranello for the Ferrari. The Museum was not as special as I thought. But driving a Ferrari is really an expeience that I will never forget.
Bologna has a bit of everything - sights, museums and most especially shops. Shopping is very easy since the shops are all close together and conveniently located under archways so sun and rain is no bother!!
If you went to Firenze, Roma, or other big cities before, you will feel that it is not much to see in Bologna.
nice city to walk around with many religious places and museums to see. restaurants serve good meal at reasonable price.
We came to the region to explore a 'foodie' region together with Parma. As it was december we had less daylight hours but we enjoyed them as well as a couple of nice meals.
Surprisingly lively city. Full of life but not touristy. architecture interesting but in a different way compared to siena or florence for example.
