Fruit farm with mini zoo is educational and eye opening, the amazing crocodile farm with chicken feeding demo were impressive.
Very bad conditions of roads around the area. If you need to drive to Sungai Rengit district to enjoy seafood, use the alternative road along the beach.
Desaru will developed in less than 5 years from now, until then, please consider other area if you really want to have your holiday worth every pennies you spend.
Desaru is slowly developing with more restaurants and resorts being built. It is a good place for families to gather and enjoy their time by the beach.
Car is the most convenient mean to tour around Desaru, as there is no easy access to public transport (including taxi).

Most Visit: Ostrich Farm, Fruit Farm. Firefly tour is ok only but it's better to go there for seafood dinner 1st then board the firefly boatride.
DESARU IS FULL OF NATURAL LIFE AND NATURE. NICE FOR SIGHT SEEING AND NOT A MAN MADE BEACH. ALSO PLACE TO KEEP AWAY FROM STRESS LIFE LIKE BUSY TOWN.
Its definitely worth the stay and value for money. The location near the beach made it easier for my kids to have fun on the beach and even water playing area.
