Where to stay in Galveston (TX)
Galveston (TX) hotels & accommodations

We booked for Memorial Day weekend last minute and lost a lot of affordable options due to being sold out. I was happy to find a hotel with a pool AND putt putt for such a small Price. Checking into the hotel I wasn’t expecting much but then was super pleased with what we had gotten! It was such a big room, very clean. Yes it is outdated compared to some but we didn’t...

Hotel staff wasnt rude but didnt seem very happy to be there. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was nice. Very close to the beach. The grounds outside were pretty dirty but that is from rude people leaving their trash everywhere. Beds were comfortable and clean. Overall it was nice.

We went for a Gymnastics meet at the convention center nextdoor. First time to Galveston, but frequent Hilton consumer. Check in staff was great and very courteous, however the housekeeping staff were awful. Our room was only cleaned/ made up two of our four nights. Three towels we went to use were dirty and the bedding was also unchanged. Called to ask for a couple t...

Loved this hotel, yes a bit dated with the furnishings, but right on beach front, lovely clean sheets and towels, which is a top priority for me, and the bed was comfy. Small pool, but we didn't use it. Galvestone is a lovely place, if not raining!

Terrible beds - shaped like a U. Collapsed in the middle and a long way past their best. Food was TERRIBLE. Had to return every family member's meal. One excessively seasoned, another tasted of soap, the third was covered in the most awful tasting coating that it was hard to believe it was being offered as an edible option. The pool water was dirty.

Located just off the seafront, (50 yards to the beach), which can be noisy with traffic. Within walking distance of a number of restaurants and there is a large Walmart supermarket opposite. Constant supply of coffee in the reception area with cookies in the evening. Hot water too with tea bags.

We were on the island for the 2017 Lone Star Motorcycle Rally and completely enjoyed our stay. We visit the island each year during this time but are hardly completely satisfied with our stay. My husband and I both agree the Doubletree Galveston is a perfect place for us. It’s not too far from the main attractions, the staff and cleanliness of the facility is great and...

Good Location as there is pedestrian in front of the hotel to the seawall. Convenient to get to the beach. Room looks nice. Bedroom size is quite spacious for 2 queen bed. Toilet was little small. Fridge was quite big. 4-5 of 3 pin plugs and 2 USB Port. My room was location on ground floor, there is door access to outside but fence off from pool area (Public). The th...

First I must say if you want a five star feel on a two star budget keep hope alive. The hotel was okay for the price we paid for the room. The hotel is old and needs some remodeling. The bathrooms need to be remodeledit was clean but the you could tell its time for a do over. The room had a scent but nothing that a little air freshener could not take care of The breakf...

I needed a reasonably priced hotel for a large group to stay at before our cruise. We didn't need a place close to the beach nor did we want to pay the higher prices. This was a good choice. It was easy to find (right off the highway) and the beach and restaurants were less than a 10 minute drive away. Within walking distance were loads of shops (like Target) and fa...

It is dirty. No hot water, no knob to turn on hot water, windows trying to fall out of 2nd story room. Signs everywhere say no refund so we asked to see the room first which apparently was irritating. But ac works, no bed bugs & no roaches, & is in good location

Upon check in the hotel manager was very friendly and professional she went above and beyond to help us out. Thank you!!! The overall stay was great clean rooms, comfy bed and great location. The only complaint I have is that there was not sufficient amount on seating to eat breakfast my family had to get out food and take it back to it room to eat. Wish there were mor...

We stopped by for a quick couple days and the location on the beach was perfect. When you book make sure you book the “signature” rooms if you want to be on the beach side. A little far from the “things to do” in Galveston at about a 20min drive but it’s also nice to be away from the hustle and bustle on the beach.

This will be our #1 exclusive spot to stay in Galveston from this point forward. Everything was top notch. The entire staff was above & beyond friendly and accommodating from valet to front desk to poolside servers to housekeeping. The valet even remembered our names & greeted us each time we returned from the beach! The resort grounds were landscaped emaculately. The...

Beachcomber Inn is a working class motel. It does have breakfast ,with pancakes. It had microwave and refrigerator in room. Bed was comfortable. The police was called while we were there, to evict someone, otherwise it was quiet. Small pool at front of motel. The motel is on the low side of a three star motel.
