Was in Loikaw for work, and it's pretty much the only option if you want any sort of international standard of service. Internet was spotty, but good for the region. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and spoke English quite well. Rooms were comfy and clean, and the lake view is a definitely a nice bonus.

We had them hire a taxi to take us to the long-neck village and found out the price was 3 times what we thought they said. They charged us $8 to make flight reservations, but put us on a later flight than we asked for. The problems were with the language, not from ill intent howev...
