Where to stay in Malang
Malang hotels & accommodations

I really need to point this out that this is one of my favourite hotels I have ever stayed during my several times of travelling to Indonesia. I think the scenery (facing the mountain) is awesome and for those who are looking for peaceful or self time, I would strongly recommend the room with such scenery. My room of 7108 is nice and was well taken care. The food serve...

Staying with my family in this hotel for few nights. Very nice property with fully equipped facility for a five stars resorts. Staffs are very humble and which is normal while you are in Indonesia. They were also very helpful and friendly. If you can explain more the facility guest can try during check in would be much useful. I feel less luxury when i entered the rest...

The best thing is the facilities which are very complete; swimming pool outdoor, indoor, sport arena (basket, badminton, futsal, volleyball), library, karaoke, jacuzzi, sauna, etc, so much worth the price, be sure you have enough time to enjoy all the facilities. The location is also great, 5 minutes walk to jatim park 1, from there you can have shuttle to other jatim ...

This is a great hotel. Clean and huge rooms, staff is also nice. The pool is a bit small but it was too chilly to swim when I was there anyway. Breakfast buffet is very decent, large choice of Asian/Indonesia cuisine, less western options but that's not really an issue. I think the best thing about this hotel other than the fact that it's really high class and comforta...

My husband said that this hotel was the best that we took during our trip in Malang and Batu. The food was expensive just as normal hotel expensive rate but it was delicious. One thing that I like that they provide a 3 bed in a spacious room and the price is unbelievably cheap. I got for 2 nights I Overall, I was satisfied with the facilities and the service and I ...

After spending 2 nights enjoying hill-side entertainment at Batu, we spent 1 night at Malang, City. A Bali style hotel with excellent Bali hospitality. Some customers might be disappointed by the location but we love it for the various food stall during night and it has distances from main road. Pool is great, various good breakfast, and it does have spacious clean roo...

Rated 5 star, it doesn't match the standards. When we arrived by taxi, no one would pick up our luggages to reception. No warm welcome provided. English is barely spoken and we had difficulties to be understood, except with one friendly lady working morning shifts. The landscape is magnificent and the chalets in the middle of the nature look fabulous. But the decoratio...

One of the best budget hotel in Malang. The hotel itself is quite new, so the interior is still fresh. The room size is quite spacious. The great thing about the hotel is the breakfast. i'm amazed that the breakfast is served with big meal menu, beside the standard breakfast menu. The coupon for breakfast can be used for lunch or dinner, which give us flexibility.

We arrived at the evening, the checkin process was quick and efficient, the staff were very warm and polite, we received wedang jahe as a welcome drink which was great since it was raining and kinda cold that night. The family room we booked was quite unique due to its loft bedroom configuration, the kids love it. Its a lil bit less spacious than we would like but stil...

nice place and ambience. the service and staff is very helpfull. some minus is the private pool in the cottage isnt heated enough so its getting cold at night. it would be best if the pool keep heated cz its really nice to soaked at night. and some room facing towards rubbish dump so its very inconvenience and smelly. hopefully the hotel can manage it well, so the gue...

I feel comfortable living here, not so crowded, located between malang dan batu, they have alternatif road to go to batu or malang, so we can avoid traffic jams, the menu breakfastnya batu.. breakfast menu options is not much and it was not really good, lets say if the range is 1-5 i only give 3 for it.. ;)

Amaris is a well-known budget hotel chain in Indonesia owned by Santika group, and this one in Malang is a good choice for short stay. Stayed for 3D/2N in late Okt. 2017 for a working holiday with my family and our entourage. Booked 3 rooms through Agoda for 990 each, as the hotel website prices are outrageously expensive. The place is comfortable although it’s an old hotel The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable There is a cable tv, but the tv is an old tv so the picture is not so good The bathroom is very old and the first water that came out smells awful But the again its worth it Because the location is perfect, near every top food in Malang And the staffs are very friendl...
Cheap places to stay in Malang

The hostel isn't close with any public transport, but there's only a few of hostel options available in Malang. The rate is cheap enough, although they provide Wi-Fi, a cable TV, and breakfast. The rooms using air conditioner, and the bathrooms are clean enough. The staffs are helpful enough.

A great hostel, but its not popular yet among the tourist. I suggest to stay here when you visit malang. Best hostel in malang probably! Clean and quite dormitory room, friendly and cheerful staff, cozy and relax ambience, and the cleanliness of the toilet is on point! Its also close to anywhere in the downtown area of malang, you can walk anywhere. Minus point from me...

Clean, comfort bed. The single size is 120 × 200, is it still enough to sleep with 1 young children. The location is in quiet residential. At night (may be above 9p.m) the gates are close, so we have to drive around the blocks. May be the hotel management give an alternative route map to guest who gonna back at night. Friendly staff, simple staycation, simple ameni...

it was only a one night stay but i can say this place is absolutely perfectfor the money. i arrivedat 1pm and able to check in directly. we got the upper floor room with fan. Too bad we didn't get the one with ac and balcony. Everything was perfect, except the tv. The remote just didn't connect and every channel was buzzy. No big deal though. Location was surprised me. Located in strategic location, near to main road, and many restaurants around. There is park near to hotel where my kids could play and enjoyed it very much. The room is clean and the location of the hotel is at the city center. The Main Reason of choosing this hotel is because of it location. Very near to the famous Toko Oen, Mosque and Alun-Alun Kota Malang. Very near to KFC and McD. For backpackers, the Angkot will stop in front of the hotel. The angkot code is "AG" or "GA" if not mistaken and the en route is Terminal Ar...

The first time they give us room at 2nd floor number 203 and 205, but there a poop at the toilet number 203 and can’t clean. Soon they give us other room number 107 and 108, side by side. The staff is very polite and nice person. We leaved midnight till afternoon going to Bromo mountain, our room is saved. If you go to Malang with low budget, this place is the right pl...

I booked a room for 3 adults for 1 night last saturday. At first, i was so doubt of this hotel. The price was the cheapest and the photos are not so clear. But after 1 night stay, i would say that i'm gonna stay at this hotel again when visit malang. The standard room for 3 adults is very minimalist, but it's clean and the bed is comfort. The carpark is available for a...

Five stars for the location and the price, even though when I came, the owner said the triple room I booked was not available and proposed a family room (for 4-6 peope). The price was still okay though they didn't provide breakfast. Lots of restaurant in front. The owner was so informative when I asked him how to find souvenirs. WIFI available. Clean enough. Hot water ...

Saya menginap di sini dengan istri hanya untuk tidur sebentar karena late check-in sekitar jam 8 malam dan harus ikut travel bromo dijemput jam 12 malamnya. Staff 24 jam...

the location is good. It's about 700 m from Museum angkut with an alfamart next door. However, the room was in dire need of maintenance. The room is big but the space can be better utilised and the furniture was basic as best. The bathroom had no hot water and the shower head is broken. The bed had seen better days and the pool was emptied out.

a good and clean guest house. Staffs were incredible, very helpful and we were lucky to met the owner in person and he made suggestions about places in Malang which we should explore. He even help us to get a rental motorcycle to explore the city. Surely worth a second visit, Malang and this guest house.

We love the location of the hotel... Having lots of restaurants and lesehan nearby makes it so easy to get food no matter the time... The room was awesome too.... Very quiet and very, very comfortable... Only complaint we had was that the bathroom smelled of sewage water the first 2 days and the last night of our stay... We didnt know why but when we managed to close...

Stayed here for just 1 night in Malang. Was very handy to the centre and walking street. Neighbourhood is quiet and very pleasant to walk around. Enjoyed the soap and shampoo being stored i...

Booked the room for a night after my Mount Bromo tour, worth the price, Old property but well maintained, very good frontdesk staff, spacious room, and a good swimming pool, hot water facilities all the time and strategically located in a good place, walkable distance to restaurants, stores, parks

The location is very nice, almost on the top of panderman hill. It has a very nice view, clean and fresh air. This is an old villa, so adjust your expectations accordingly, do not expect new and renovated villa. When you check in to the villa, immediately plug in the water heater on the bathroom on the top floor as the water heater takes a long time to heat up the wate...

I had a good stay. Checkin first gave me another room then i booked, twin bed/older and less then i booked. Not sure for which reason. I love Batu Malang Area, but the center Malang just a boring place for me. hard to find taxi and not much food variety to explore.
Malang is a nice not-so-big city with a nice climate. It offers a range of great food. Try rawon nguling and Cwie Mie.
2hrs travel with car from surabaya, you can go to batu malang by car or bus for lots of great place for fun
We were 2 adults and a 4 year old child and so we looked for activities for that fitted that type of family group.
Many local shopping area you can explore all near with Alun-Alun Malang. Going to Batu to get many attraction (BNS, Jatim Park, Museum Angkut, Eco Green Park)

Malang city have many attraction area for family, good location for business and have many restaurant for many good food.
Malang is different than Batu. I stay at Batu for 3 days and can not get enough of it. I should stay at least for 4 days.
Nice place for pleasure with many activities with families. Have an attractive show. Nice place for culinary
Malang is a cooling place. There are few attractions such as Jatim Park 1 & 2, and Museum Angkut near by which worth visiting.
Malang is 2 to 3 hours drive from Surabaya. The weather is cold at night. You can visit Batu for back to the nature trip.
Malang is an old city which have a very nice area for sightseeing. There are some streets with old houses which is very beautiful.

Batu is a excellent place to travel with kids, local Indonesian tourists will love it due to the fact that the weather is nice and cool.
Lot of foods, from street food up to restaurant class. Malang is growing city, lot of new commercial buildings but no additional roads so during peak hours in some area will be very crowded.
City with lots of old colonial buildings as well as stuffs for antique hunters. However access to the city from Surabaya is hampered by the main road which has basically no alternatives.
One of the nicest cities in Java, I think. Great food, great people, great culture. Relatively clean, with plenty of attractions around the city.
Very good city, it's clean and have tons of great local cafes. The local food is absolutely nice. The first time I arrived at Malang, it's confusing but after take a time to googling and asking the local people (who's very friendly) it's really easy to understand the whole city and reach all the attractive places you wish.
The town is great for cullinary adventure as well as nature sightseeing. Visit Batu for relaxing visit to apple plantation, take a 2 to 4 hours drive to Bromo mountain or visit Taman Safari.
