Margaret River hotels & accommodations

We were very pleased when we entered the room as the rooms are well-designed. We booked the special access room as we have young kids and thought it would be better if we do not have stairs in the room. It was a wise decision. The bathroom was very spacious and there was a spa bath tub and a standing shower in the bathroom. The king size bed was enough to sleep 2 a...

This motel has all that a visitor could want and need at an affordable price. From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the fantastic well appointed motel room we stayed in this place is the best we have ever stayed at in Margaret River. The restaurant with its warm fire place is the spot to park yourself after a day of indulgence at the wineries, brew houses, ...

We arrived fairly late at 630pm, after visiting the vineyards in Margaret river. The reception was friendly and had upgraded us from a studio to a 2-bedroom. The rooms were very clean, spacious and very comfortable. Beds had electric blankets and we had very good sleep on them. The rooms are equipped with cooking pots and utensils, so you can cook here. However, you w...

Pullman Bunker Bay Resort is located on a stunning beach, tucked away in a natural bush land setting. Easy access to all the Dunsborough / Margaret River region has to offer. Restaurant really good, great breakfast and well appointed rooms. Looking forward to visiting again.

Very easy to find and 50 metres away from the start of the main street in Margaret river. Some locations described as Margaret river are actually miles away from the town. Staff were very helpful and secure parking beyong access gates is free for resident guests. Our room was immaculately clean and the balcony which had a table and 2 chairs overlooked the pool. We retu...

The location is great and the rooms are lovely. Modern facilities. The service was less than impressive though. Lamont's has recently moved here as the resident restaurant. It's one of my favourite Margaret River treats, but the service at the Smith's Beach location was less than great. The apartments themselves are lovely but for the price they need basics such as sa...

We loved our stay at Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay, this place was even better than the reviews. The farm is a short 5 minute drive from town but feels like another world! We stayed in the studio and it was spacious, spotless and well equipped (including a welcome bottle of wine and the most delicious Orange Juice ever!). The Manager Lisa was extremely helpful w...

Stayed for 2 nights at Eight Willows when we were in Margaret River region. Central location for us to drive to Dunsborough and Margaret river wine valley within 30 mins. 15 mins to Margaret river town. Lots of fantastic place to eat there and beautiful coast line to visit. I had the 2 bedroom unit which was huge and very well kept. Plenty of space to cook dinner and ...

We were a 12-person family with young kids staying in 4 different rooms. The accommodation was everything we needed for our 4 night stay at Margaret River. The varying rooms suited each family's needs though our favourite was room 9 (2 bedroom suite) as it was spacious enough for everyone to hang out and had a full kitchen! Location was fantastic! Woolworths was jus...

It provides excellent accommodation in the centre of Margaret River, which has been thought out with the needs of visitors to the region in mind. It provides spacious accommodation, with sitting room and important little touches like umbrella and ironing board. It also provides the basic facilities to eat in when you are overcome by the visits to the local wineries ...

Spent three nights here in a two-bedroom apartment during a Thanksgiving Holiday visit to Australia with my wife and young adult daughters. The apartment was well furnished and had a great view of the ocean from the second floor balcony. The resort is within walking distance of the beach in Gnarabup, a mile from Prevelly Beach, and 15 minutes from Margaret River. We...

this place is just beautiful. perfect location to just getaway. you could spend the whole time not leaving the estate but it is in a great location if you do want to explore the beautiful margaret river wine region. staff service was like no other we've encountered in our travels. it was like staying at somebody's home for hospitality and friendliness yet all the priva...

Forest Rise Eco Retreat is a great place to go for a short retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We got a clean, spacious chalet with all the amenities available such as cooker stove, pots, pans, microwave oven, etc. It is also located near the Margaret River Wine Region, which we visited. We had a great time and will be back for sure.

Situated off the main Margaret River area was this delightful retreat. Spacious room with comfy bed, large ensuite. Lovely garden views. Restaurant overlooking the lake served amazing food locally grown... some at the back of the property. Staff very obliging. Soft drinks provided by the pool (self-serve!)One of the highlights was afternoon tea and home made cake serv...

Dirk and Pam are wonderful and welcoming hosts who have created a lovely place to rest and relax while exploring the Margaret River area. They are more than happy to suggest insightful itineraries and offer advice and equally happy to just leave you in peace and let you get on with it. The breakfast is simple but extensive and extremely well done. The kids loved hav...

We arrived not sure of what to expect from a bushland retreat but we need not have been concerned! Our cottage number 6 excelled our expectations and was self contained with great facilities, even a gas fired bbq on the porch. The open plan sitting / kitchen / diner was spacious and there was a welcome package of Margaret river wine, cereals, milk, orange juice and bre...

This is one of our favourite places to stay in the beautiful Margaret River Wine area. It is a short walk to dozens of food and craft shops, and the centre of the picturesque forests of South Western Australia. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it is great value for money.

We revisited Caves House after 28 years and were charmed back then. But now it has undergone an enormous renovation which is sympathetic to its heritage listing. There are fewer rooms now and I think we had the best room (Room 1 - keep it a secret) - it had a lounge, bedroom with King Size bed and an amazing ensuite with a spa bath which overlooked the magnificent gard...

We loved the isolated location, views of the sea, wildlife in the garden, proximity to all the best places of the Margaret River region. Comfortable fully self-contained apartments with good facilities. Perfect for couples, but really good for families.

The Dunsborough Motel was exactly what we wanted. It was affordable accomodation and located at the start of the Margaret River region in the heart of Dunsborough. The room was clean and spacious. We had a dining table and microwave and fridge in our room. It was nothing fancy but we were surprised at some negative reviews. For the rate per night it was top notch.

We had a great one night stay- was more like staying over at a friends villa than a hotel room. We stayed in the Shiraz room - had its own spa outdoor patio which was enclosed with a gate for pool access. Perhaps not the best for privacy as you could hear the guests in their patios. Everything in Yallingup mostly closes up after 5pm but this place offered a great littl...

Brilliant location, quite and easy to find but still out of the hussle and bussel of Margaret River. Decor and cleanliness is amazing. Fenced yard for our dogs as well as a basket of toys. Having stayed on Margs, Prevelly & Yallingup many times before this accommodation we recommend to anyone with dogs and or kids. Great walk to the beach, close to general store, 10min...

We booked one of the nicer rooms at the back with the view of the forest, and it was beautiful. Woke up to the scenic beauty of the karri trees, my friends went out for a walk in the early morning and enjoyed themselves, and the room was in such close vicinity to the main town. It was on the same road, in fact! Breakfast was meh. I liked that they had local produce lik...
Cheap places to stay in Margaret River

That is one of the best "hostel" we've stayed for a family of 3. The toilets & bathrooms were super clean. The communal kitchen has all the utensils, fridge, oven and we even asked for a little cooking oil for cooking our dinner and breakfast. We also relaxed at the TV room too. The people running this property were very warm, helpful & friendly. Bedding was very comfo...

We stayed at the Dunsborough Beachhouse Backpackers only for one night so it probably isn't fair to draw too far-reaching conclusions about the place but we had no complaints. In fact, we had a great time at the communal area mixing it up with the other guests so as far as the athmosphere was concerned it was great. Certainly not a place for a family with young kids ...

Fancy in all the right places! Has to be one of the best places I've stayed. The staff are excellent with a genuine sense of hospitality. While we didn't use the full communal kitchen and dining area it would be great to meeting other guest as well as visit with a large group. The rooms are spacious, simple but modern. What I loved most is everything smelt clean and fr...

This is a nice older style hotel with stunning views overlooking the river and down to the ocean. It is centrally located on the main street through town and it is a short walk to the IGA across the road, up the street to the newsagent and bakery. From the back you can go down across the expanse of lawn to the walk along next the river and watch the pelicans and othe...

Was close to everything and reasonable price compared to other accommodation in Margaret river region. Stayed at the stern for 2nights. Amazing place, clean house with full kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and well kept. Toilet was huge, luxurious feeling. Do not be deceive by the pictures on Agoda, this I place is definitely much nicer than on the picture. ...

This place was a bit hard to find as it was the 2nd floor of the restaurant. You have to check in through the restaurant and get the key from them. It's located in the town of Margaret River so you can easily go somewhere. Especially, I loved the spa bathroom! So relaxing !

Hi everyone and your lovely cat, "You"? Haha She was absolutely lovely and she came to visit us in our Merlot room which was great because we love cats! We had a wonderful stay and we felt spoilt having the shared lounge area and kitchenette so we could make a cup of tea. Our room was lovely and cosy which was great with the cold weather! Everyone was so welcoming and...

We had a great stay at this motel. Augusta is a small town and this motel is in the centre of town. It is clean and self contained so you can cook for yourself if you wish. There is no restaurant on site but you do not expect one either. You must do the river walk.

Fantastic place and location however on arrival and departure I saw the owners inside and I knocked on the door to say hi and ask a few questions yet was ignored. One would think they would have said hello and welcomed us yet this was too much of an effort.

When you first search for a hotel in Margaret River, you'll see places an hour away from town claiming to be in Margaret River or using the ambiguous "Margaret River 'Region'". The Edge Of The Forest Motel is just a short stroll from the river itself and the town. If you're looking for somewhere to spend your day in your hotel room or lounge by a pool with someone ...

Arrived late and was a little difficult to find as there was no lights along the road. Once we were in, we were warmly welcomed by the lady owner. Rooms are good, cosy and we had a little backyard where we can relax and watch the stars. Location was good, 10min drive to the left to town square and turn right to most of the wineries and other farms. Owners were absolute...

Book this place at last minute and never been regretted. The host welcomed us with a big smile after our tired but enjoyable 4 hours drove from Perth. The unit was cozy, clean with a completed kitchen that you can cook whatever you like and surrounded by a lovely garden with tress and flowers, although the mattress was a bit soft for me. Drove from here to the must vi...

My partner and I had a great two nights at Seclusions. It was a little hard to find in the dark but our GPS got us there successfully. We were greeted by the lovely receptionist who took the time to tell us all about the Margaret River wine region, and we were given a bottle of wine upon arrival! The room is gorgeous, very comfortable and clean, and very close to Smiths Beach and Lamonts Winery/Restaurant. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The location of the suite is great as it is in the middle, between Cape Naturaliste in the north, and Magaret River in the south. The whole suite is also very comfortable and cleanly managed by Nicole and John. Nicole was also very patient in the booking process, helping me to sort out the payment methods. We had a very good stay at the suite, well rested and also enjo...

This place was relaxing and decadent with stunning views, a great spa that overlooked the hills where you could see the sunrise, in a studio that attracted natural sunlight all day long. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottages. We were in town for a wedding, and stayed three nights in Possum cottage. The staff were very helpful on the phone, and went that extra mile to make our stay comfortable. We even found firewood and firelighters near our front door one night when it was getting a bit chilly. Cottages are in a very pretty spot, where you can wa...

Stayed in this cosy B&B for 2 nights. The room was fantastic: nice and clean with a big comfortable bed and the door even opens up to a nice little front porch facing a lawn. I love this cottage! This is the best place i stayed in for the duration of my trip. The staff where fantastic and service started once you booked with follow up driving directions. Surprisingly, a very peaceful and quiet retreat, enable us to escape from the busy city of Hong Kong / Singapore. This 3bedroom villa was beautiful and super comfortable. All 3 bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and have their own reconditioning/heater. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Losari Retreat, in a Botanica Spa Villa this July, with our 3 month old daughter. The weather was wet and windy, which...

Nothing to fault!!! We enjoyed everything from the moment we arrived. Walked straight in with the gas fireplace already going & straight to the fully stocked wine fridge. It was the perfect welcome on a chilly afternoon. The breakfast supplies provided were amazing & anything else that you would want were just a two minute walk.... cafés, restaurants, grocery store. Great place to visit, especially for nature lover. We had a great drive in the countryside. Really enjoy walking in the forest parks.
Rent a car so you can take a leisurely drive along the coastline. The beaches are beautiful, uncrowded, and unspoiled.
I love the Betteney's Margaret River Nougat Company. The nougat and nougat liquor drinks are really nice and awesome.
Go to the wineries which provide amazing view. Don't forget to try the lavender ice cream which is very unique
Our highlights were 1. The Leeuwin Lighthouse tour in Augusta 2. The Gloucester Tree climb and others nearby.
Lots of nice wineries there. Choose one or two most famous wineries to visit and taste a variety of wine.
It's more advisable to stay nearer to the wineries. Advisable for those who are interested to go winery visiting.
Margaret River is one of the best places in Australia. There are lots to do even if you are not interested in wine.
Beaches are beautiful and pristine, fishing is fantastic, caves are definitely worth checking out and eco resorts provide truly unique accommodation and experiences
Nice place to relax and enjoy the many wineries and animal farms are a great attraction to children who will have chance to interact with the many animals close up.

Margaret River Wine Region is the place to go when you are in Western Australia. Fall in love with the wineries, breweries, factories within the area.
A great place to relax and enjoy the simple life outside the city. Very friendly people. Good food and wine, of course.
They have really biult up a region with interesting winerys and brewerys. Each one has it's own character.
Redgate beach is one of the best around and a visit to the wineries particulary the Watershed winery.
Many classy wineries and restaurants, although the wines are on the expensive side. The attractions are spread over a wide area, so there is quite a lot of driving required to see it all.
Nice region to visit for the food and wine experience. Food in the wineries are not exactly cheap but is a must-try experience!
We stay in the animals farm during our visit in Margaret river. We get to feed all types of animals. We even witness the birth of a piglet.
it is a place suitable to sight seeing esp if wine lover, one should try their wine :) superb place for wine tasting .
The Margaret River region is very picturesque, with beautiful beaches and fantastic breweries and wineries.
The best wineries that we went to were: Leeuwin / Voyager / Vasse Felix and Fraser Gallop. Out of which, Fraser Gallop was a private boutique vineyard and we had lunch in the middle of the wine storage ie; next to the barrels.
This area actually is one large vineyard. i was amazed by the numerous vineyard that entertain tourist and have wine tasting activities.
Very picturesque. Whale watching in Augusta is a must. Cape to cape track is also an essential stop.
There's always lots do do in the region. Visit wineries, restaurants and boutique shops. The beaches are stunning and never crowded.
Margaret River is well known for its wineries, restaurants, caves, beaches and forests. These days you can add quite a number of breweries.
Make sure to leave enough time to visit both the wineries and the beach. Diving the HMAS SWAN is also an amazing experience.
Wonderful area if you love the country close to the ocean, farms, vineyards, fresh yoghurt, ice cream and cheese factories, wineries galore, great food and lots of things to see and do.
A magnificent scenic area that grows some of the best wine grapes in the world. The area is also home to some of the best surfing beaches in the world.
