Movenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech
Gueliz,Marrakech - View on map
"Very spectacular hotel for travelers who are looking forward to stay in a luxury Hotel in Marrakesh with a reasonable value of money. We loved the staff because they were very helpful when we didn't like the first room when we checked in, they changed it right away when we requested. It has a very marvelous Islamic themed, the hotel garden is very very very nice. We enjoyed their breakfast is was fabulous and lots of variety of food, the view was amazing with the olives and fruits trees. I will definitely come visit again, and recommend it to other travelers."

Riad Aladdin
Medina,Marrakech - View on map
"This is the second riad we went to for this trip. This property was easier to locate than the first riad we stayed at. The property is closer to the gardens and the palace. It is busier but the noise shuts down when the door is closed behind you. Lots of food choices in the area (by this time, we had too much tajine already). Another good option to stay at."

Riad Palais Sebban
Medina,Marrakech - View on map
"The name of the hotel "Riad Palais Sebban" says much about this place. For my family, we consider it not only a hotel but also a royal palace. Except for the Jardin Majorelle, my wife and my daughter believe that the Riad Palais Seban is much more beautiful than the Palais Bahia and the El Badi Palace, both of which are true royal palaces in Marrakech, Morocco. The rooms are big befitting that of a royal room. It has a beautiful medium-sized pool and, they also serve good breakfast. Some of the meals are continental while some are exotic like the different dried fruits and dates. But of most of all, we love their very hospitable staff. Special mention goes to their manager, Yousef who I call Joseph, the elderly person we call "Mr. Bean", the staff at the meal place "Abdul" and "Momon”, the burly security guard outside who was very friendly and their lovely cat named "Yalla". One day, we hope to visit this hotel again."

Hotel Marrakech Le Tichka
Gueliz,Marrakech - View on map
"Very nice building, yet in need of some modernisation and renovation. Furniture gets old and shabby, but I’m sure 20 years ago it was a great hotel. Nothing provided, not even bottle of complimentary water, let alone tea or coffe or an electric kettle. One old towel for two people. Safe box not in working order ... but all that seems to be completely acceptable by local standards. Overall, better than anything else offered for similar price. Located in a quiet area, not easy to find, though and quit far away from Medina. "

More about Marrakech

Marrakech has long been a popular tourist destination, known for its ancient inner city, unique heritage homes, beautiful Moorish architecture, and the Atlas Mountains that rise behind the city giving it an impressive skyline.

The city is served by Marrakech-Menara Airport, which links the city between many international cities including London and Paris. It is also possible to reach the city via the other international airport in Casablanca and then arranging for a connecting local flight or ground transportation into Marrakech.

The city is divided into two parts, one being the ancient city known as the Medina, and the more modern city of Ville Nouvelle or Gueliz. The Medina is a maze of narrow alleys, souks, and traditional homes known as Riads, which feature unique architecture and a courtyard. The mosques and markets of the Medina and all its mosques and markets undoubtedly make up the city's biggest attraction, and one of the main events is the Djemaa El-Fna, certainly the busiest in Africa. By day, Djemaa el Fna is the main square inside the Medina and a popular meeting place where snake charmers, traditional Berber performers, and local juice vendors hawk their fares. At night, the square transforms into a lively and crowded bazaar of predominantly food stalls. Behind the square are the souks, selling everything from carpets to Berber shoes to bags of spices.

For travelers seeking a glimpse into 19th-century Morocco, the El Bahia Palace is a must-see destination. At an impressive 160 rooms, the palace features tiled interior courtyards, archways, carved stucco panels, intricate mosaics, and classic painted latticework. Many Riads in Marrakech feature similar design traits and are imbued with significant history and romance, especially those inside the Medina walls.

Of course, there’s a lot more to see and do in Marrakech and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
