Very spectacular hotel for travelers who are looking forward to stay in a luxury Hotel in Marrakesh with a reasonable value of money. We loved the staff because they were very helpful when we didn't like the first room when we checked in, they changed it right away when we requested. It has a very marvelous Islamic themed, the hotel garden is very very very nice. We e...

We stayed for 6 nights in december ,recieved a warm welcome from the Staff ,we had to wait over 2 hours to get a room but the room was beautiful ,we had a double and it was perfect for us . 5 stars in Marrakech is nowhere near 5 stars in europe but it was a definite 4 stars and we were Happy with that . Staff were polite and friendly at all times . Perfect location...

As seasoned travellers we’ve been to many hotels around the world, but there is something about Dar Les Cigognes (DLC) that sets it apart.... it’s people. The moment you walk in Hayat, the resident manager, greets you like an old friend welcoming you home. The rest of the staff will help you with everything and anything -they truly care that you have the perfect stay....

Getting there is difficult (specially if it's the first time you are in Marrakech). It is two/three streets away from the main square. The street where it is located looks dirty and ugly but the hotel from the inside is really nice. It is a very good hide away from the craziness of the streets (very peaceful and quiet, with trees in the yard). Our room was nice, alt...

I strongly recommend this hotel as the location is brilliant thanks to talk buildings the swimming pool areas can be cool when the weather is hot. My kids loved it. We found alots shops around and si close by. Taxis are so cheap and easy to catch. The staff were really nice professional and welcoming I would stay there again

Hotel Rose Meryem surpassed our expectations. We wanted to live in a typical Moroccan Riad mostly to get a good contact with other guests and a host family. And we directly felt welcomed by the family. Zeyneb and Rabiya were there to welcome us and show us around. We got 2 rums on the first flor overlooking the patio. Breakfast was very good; especially the honey panca...

We were at Novotel for three nights. Our visit was made easy, relaxing and memorable because of our stay at Novotel Marrakech. Perfect location within 15 minutes you can be any where, like Airport, Menara Garden, Manera Mall, Katoubia Mosque and Jema ul Fana. Hop on Hop off bus stop was just outside the hotel. Staff was tooooooooooo good especially Mehdi, he made us fe...

It was good, but I'd give it four, not five, stars. The bed was lumpy, service was friendly but not always easy to find, and there were renos happening right outside my room, so I had to keep the drapes shut. The hotel is beautiful and is a destination itself.

Very nice building, yet in need of some modernisation and renovation. Furniture gets old and shabby, but I’m sure 20 years ago it was a great hotel. Nothing provided, not even bottle of complimentary water, let alone tea or coffe or an electric kettle. One old towel for two people. Safe box not in working order ... but all that seems to be completely acceptable by loca...

This is like an Oasis in Marrakech, got great air conditioning inside which is what u need in Marrakech in july!!! Loved the decor that gives you a Moroccan vibe as oppose to four seasons that was more modern, the room was nice, spacious and got a good ac going on. staff were nice, didn't enjoy the breakfast just because it was more of a local style than full english o...

We have stayed there 4 nights. For the really fair and cheap price we payed we are happy with the hotel. The rooms are already a bit older but everything is clean. The cleaners are all very friendly to us and also the reception, they made our bookings for some trips we had and also reservations for the restaurants we have been. The bar is small but nice and we had even...

We really liked the Riad Lila. Beautiful fiew from the Roof top. It was very Close to the souks of Marrakech. if you want to travel by yourself from the Airport, take the bus. the taxi stops at the same place like the bus, at the Place Jemaa El Fna. you can only reach the Hotel by Walking. we had a great time.

This was long overdue. We travelled to Marrakech in December last year, but even the short stay at La Terrasse de Oliviers has left an indelible mark! Renaud and his staff are wonderfully hospitable and will go that extra step to make you feel at home. Even the Riad is homely, and located close to all major sights. We wish we had stayed longer, but the next time we ret...

Staying at the Meridien N'Fis was an absolute delight for me and my entire family (3 adult children). Although there are many charming Riyads in Marrakech, the Meridien is ideal in terms of offering a resort-like atmosphere. The only minor negative point would be the difficulty in getting a "big" taxi outside the hotel. I can definitely recommend this hotel for busines...

I spent a week as a solo female traveler and I would highly reccomend this place if you want to feel safe and still be close to where things are happening. The riad is very pretty and the rooms are comfortable. They clean your room everyday and breakfast is very good. They served a different kind of bread everyday. Although I would have prefered to have more healthy ch...

It was my 1st adventure in Marrakech (and it was an adventure!) and after getting a little assistance to finding Riad Dar El Souk (Google maps would have helped), I couldn’t have been more satisfied with my stay. It’s a bit off the beatin path, but so is the rest of Marrakech and that’s part of the charm. Very reasonably priced also. Abdul and staff were very helpfu...

If you dont stay in the old Medina then this is the best choice in Marrakech...after he madness of the Medina every day it was great to come back to Ibis for a cool swim and cold beer (many places in the Medina do not allow alcohol. Ibis was only 5min by taxi to the Medina...and next to train station...so easy, yet so quiet

Actually the hotel is nice, clean and well located with nice staff. BUT: The machine for the aircon must have been located on the roof right over our room 509. We were on the top floor and at first we were grateful for that because it was quite and no noise from outside... But in the night the loud throbbing humming sound from the roof went right to the bone and findin...

Simple necessities not available ie an iron,no fridge in the room, no adaptors available so had to spend £6 to buy 2 from local shop so can charge mobiles daily. Not a great variety for breakfast either.Wifi dropped constantly and there was no remote to the TV ,bath was awful state, the phone to call reception did not work so due to all this we moved from 4th to 1st f...

Nice boutique (small) hotel with very polite and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Breakfasts (included) were excellent. Other food/ drink was limited and very expensive - I bought some water for my room from a nearby supermarket (they didn’t like that but were ok with it). The hotel is a little out of the way from the centre of town but there are plenty of taxis available ...

Location is a good 15-min walking distance from Marrakech train station and 30-45mins to the medina. I took a cab for 20dhs to go to Djemma el fna as it was very humid. but enjoyed walking back to the hotel as there were a lot of things to see along the way. Nice pool, good breakfast. Room was ok, mine was facing the pool. bathroom ok too but no bidet. They have goo...
Cheap places to stay in Marrakech

The hostel is very clean. I booked a bunk bed in a female dorm but was the only one there so had the room and bathroom all to myself for the price of a dorm room. The bathroom and toilet are clean and well-maintained. The terrace where I had breakfast was ok. There’s not really a good view from there but the breeze was nice. The receptionist should smile more to be mor...

d sweets, given all the information about the area, things to do, places to see, followed by being shown your room and amenities. The entire Riad is beautiful, colourful and traditional. Great location and very good security. I stayed in the dorm room which sleeps 8, it was spacious and comfortable, though there is not a power socket at every bed, there are more than ...

Look, it’s very cheap so so don’t expect a palace! The pillows were really hard, the shower splashed everywhere so the bathroom floor was soaked, the riad was hard to find and we also got woken up all the time by people talking outside our room. Staff were really lovely though and breakfast was small and cute. If you’re a serious budget traveler, this would be great!

Location & staff excellent, but there are famished mosquitos present due to poor drainage of plants. Bites counted the next morning: 10! Also, I woke up in the middle of of the night to large ants crawling on me. Lastly, no towels or soap provided. I would not this hotel to my worst enemy.

Nourdine is by far the best hotel manager in Marrakech. I noticed he speak at least 4 languages fluently. Our stay at Hotel Cecil were one of the best experiences in Morocco. The Market is almost opposite the hotel, about 75 meters and very close to a very nice restaurant where Nourdine organized for us to be treated to some of the best Moroccan dishes. The rooms is ve...

Aziz and his wife Asma were wonderful hosts; even before we arrived, e-mail communication was timely and professional. Aziz arranged pickup for us and helped us throughout our stay. We were able to do our laundry, they shared a meal with us, we enjoyed conversations with Aziz about many things, and we felt welcomed. There was an honest mistake made concerning our pa...

Nice little place, kind staff, comfy bed & pillow. Decent wifi at ground floor and on the terrace overlooking the road. Make sure they meet you at the main street the first time you arrive, or if you have to use one of the 'guides' be sure to agree on a price before! Google maps will help you out well though, and the alleys are well lit at night. Don't trust anyone te...

We stayed at Riad des Etoiles for a 3 of nights. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you Sofiane and Mohammed! Location however, was not the best. The Riad was a little bit far from the main hubs, we got lost the first night coming back to the Riad from the main attractions and this was very uncomfortable as we ended up in the 'suburb' behind the Riad. This wa...

Me and my partner spent a week in Riad ESSAOUSSAN 4.11.18-11.11.18 and loved everything about it. The Riad is in the perfect location but completely blocks out the noise from the souks. The owner/manager Youssef was great, we booked two day trips through him and the trips were amazing! He also gave us parting gifts for us and our daughter (which she loves thank you) an...

Really enjoyed staying here, the owner is a great guy and very helpful. The maison is not that easy to find as it is down some backstreets (which don't look great) but actually very close to Place Jaama El Fna, the main square in Marrakech. The rooms look great, a mix of traditional and modern.

We had a great stay at Dar Narjis. The staff is amazing! So kind and helpful. The guy working there saved us from a 50€ boarding fee by printing out our plane tickets in the middle of the night, and gave us free breakfast (coffee/tea, Moroccan pancakes, bread, jam/butter, eggs, fresh orange juice) since we had to change to a different room for our first night (which wa...

We arrived late, tired and in need of a hot shower, which was available. Although the room did contain a French window, it did not give us the view we had expected, being at the back of the hotel. In the end, this proved to be much better, far away from the street noice. Big room with TV and great beds, but furniture in need of replacement. Big advantage was the bar do...

The riad staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. He , the nice young English-Germany(I guess) guy , helped me when I was in trouble that I forgot to print my boarding pass which I must submit to airport otherwise I must pay the airport about 50 Euro for penalty. He woke up early for me , made me fine breakfast, and spent much time to print my boarding pass. I reall...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. U feel like home when u r back to the Riad. Within 15 min walking distance, u can reach....I say two thirds of the major attractions in town. First night we had the lemon chicken tajine there. It’s the best we had in our 2 weeks Maroc trip.

The staff are really nice. They may not speak English but they would do their best to help you. I had an early check-in but I remembered the room i booked wrongly (it should be marron but i remembered it as vert(?)). It caused the cleaning ladies to quickly clean up the wrong room. Once they realised that it was not the room I booked, they called their boss to confirm ...

Khadija was a wonderful host and provided useful tips for getting around the city and for navigating the area. Her traditional Moroccan breakfast and mint tea really added to the comfort of my stay. This particular riad is tucked into a residential area near the Saadian tombs, and the rooftop terrace/lounge (with beach chairs and HDTV) provides nice panoramic views ove...

We stayed in this Riad only for one night, coming back from Essaouira. The Riad is very well located, next door to an excellent SPA that we tried on a previous trip to Marrakech. Our room (ZEN) was on the ground floor but I would recommend one of the top floor to get much more light (our was the last one available). Excellent breakfast with fresh cake and pastries, fre...

The riad was just fine. The room we stayed in was very small. It wasn't a problem considering we spent so much time outside. However, I did get sick shortly after eating breakfast at the riad. I don't know if the cause is related to something I ate during breakfast. I ordered scrambled eggs not wanting to eat the less than hard-cooked scrambled eggs that were avai...

Was a great location, really enjoyed our stay, nice and clean. helpful staff. Terrace was beautiful, well kept and nice. Staff did a lot to arrange excursions etc.... very quiet inside away from the hustle and bustle of souks outside. Would definitely recommend a stay here, was fantastic. Breakfast could be a little better but apart from that a great stay!

I had a great difficulty finding this riad and please do not attempt to find it in the dark especially if you are on your own. In order to get there you need to walk down many very quiet narrow passages where you won’t see any tourists and if it’s your first time in Marrakesh then go look for it only in the daytime because in the night time locals want to show you the ...

The staffs are very welcoming. The foods are glorious. Had breakfast by the pool all the time. Facilities are nice and clean. It was a perfect getaway for us working parents coz we had a quality time with our kid. It was an oasis in the city I would say. Will recommend the place to my family , friends and colleagues for sure.

Maison Belbaraka was the perfect place to stay in the Marrakech medina! Very close to all the action and places to eat but also a very peaceful and quiet place to escape from it. The rooms are beautiful and spotless, showers are excellent and the beds are comfortable. The rooftop terrace was a great place to have breakfast. Charlotte and everyone couldnt have been more...

We were on our honeymoon...and a friend recommended this hotel. After 18 days of travelling, his is by far the best hotel I have ever used. The staff are warm and accommodating. It is a small hotel situated in the best part of Hivernage acoss from the cool Delano hotel so one can take advantage of the latter's superior facilities (roof restaurant etc. The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious, unfortunately with a very small wardrobe that would not be sufficient for two people staying over a weekend. The staff courteous and helpful. B...

Riad Lorsya is a great place to stay. It is beautifully decorated and gives you a real feel for what it's like to stay in a Moroccan home. The Riad Lorsya has a quiet serenity about it. The hotel is super nice and the staff is wonderful. The food is more than descent for an all inclusive. Great riad for relaxing in for a chilled escape from the craziness of Marrakech. Small but comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. Great roof top terrace to chill out on. The hotel is difficult to find as you have to wind round several alleys to get there so I would recommend getting the airport pick up although the locals are very helpful in helping you to find it!...

Located away from the bustling city center of Marrakesh, this resort was a superb resting place, unless you prefer to stay close to the Medina. It's about 10 minutes away by taxi to the Medina - cost around 50 Dirham. A nice thing about this resort is that one can walk to a mall with Carrefour in it in 5 minutes. The room was splendid; we really liked it. Staff was ver...

Palais Donab is a dream for a first time visitor to Marrakech. It is within walking distance of the drop off point of transportation to the medina. The Palais itself has a fine restaurant which seems to be available to guests whenever t...

if u want to fall in the love.. or looking for break from a fast hectic lifestyle.. this is the place to visit. a private oasis, friendly staff and good cusine. mint iced tea waiting on your arrival. dont want to tell you everything.. i would like to keep this place a secret.

The Riad was perfect in every way. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and all meals were exceptional we even had a chance at cooking our own. The only downside is that you don't get a choice of meals at dinner. The staff showed us around the area which was very helpful as the square in Marrakech can be very dauntin...

Had a wonderful vacation in Marrakech, thanks to the wonderful staff at the Riad, but also our incredible suite was amazing! This was a perfect location away from the madness of the town. Courtesy bus in to the town twice a day. Preferred the tranquillity of the hotel location so spent most of our time there, quality of accommodation was really good. Choice of 3 pools which were all lovely but were really lucky to be upgraded to a villa with our own pool. Staff really good but would have be...

This was my first visit to Marrakech, though I had been to Fez a couple of times. Marrakech is very loud, busy, crowded and driven by tourist trade.
Marrakesh did actually not appeal me very well. As a major point I must say, the Medina and especially the Souk can be very annoying since a lot of bargainers/shopmen are very pushy on visitors.
Very interesting city, some main attractions to be visited, and a lot to stroll around and feel the Moroccan lifestyle.
Marrakech is a vibrant city with lots of interesting handcrafts that we can buy and see how they make them.
Fullfill with tourists .. I think: it is the best one in Maroc .. And, there is hop on-off double deck tour bus (Not expensive but, not important)
The best thing to do is to walk in the medina for hours, because the souk is amazing. Don't worry if you don't find your way out immidiately, or then ask some adult person in which direction Jma El Fna is.
After a few days you can get bored of the food since they don't have many options. we got food poisoning on the second day from an expensive touristy restaurant and were scared to eat anything after that.
Lots of great things to see; good to have a guide - but it will cost more money than it's worth; lots of great shopping in the local souks/markets.
beautiful weather. friendly but poor people. would be nice break if you do not have problem with your hotel booking
How to haggle for the best price: 1. Decide what you want to pay. 2. Tell the trader a price 20% of what they ask for.
Amazing expensive city. Streets are very dirty. Everyone tries to rip you off and you need to be careful about pick pockets.
Rich in culture, and great central point to go on day trips! there are lots of hidden little gems, like the day spa our hotel recommended.
don't go to Marrakech unless it's for SPAs. well there are also some nice gardens. but really?! there are so many other cities worth going.
Very interesting city where 'the old meets the new'. Many interesting places to visit but the constant haggling for nearly everything gets tiring.
Found the whole Medina area confusing...its history but its also catering for tourism, not so much the single travellers.
We had a great 4 night stay in the Medina. Walked all around the old city sightseeing and shopping. The place is old and rough, if you prefer lovely bistros and posh shopping, then head for Guilez which is the new part.
The medina is most interesting. For a break, take a walk in the gardens. Check out Lonely Planet for eating places.
Definitely an interesting city to discover however ... I doubt that I would revist. Highlights of the trip include Quad biking in the desert, a wonderful cooking class, one or two visits to the market (after a while, it gets tiring).
Try to arrange a transfer to your hotel from the airport before your arrival. Taxi drivers are unscrupulous.
A great sightseeing and shopping town. The Fortified Medina is fascinating and if you have not been to Fez, this is about as good as it gets for medinas in Morocco.
2 days were more than enough. Locals very pushy and we ended up getting food poisoning. Most of the big attractions can be seen in 2 days then your pretty much done in Marrakech.
We only visited the Medina part of Marrakech (where I suppose most people focus their visits) and whilst it is definitely worth visiting, I wouldn't rush to go back.
we stayed for 3 days, 2 nights, and found it great. yes you could stay longer, but 3 days will give you enought time to explore the medina.
a visit to the museum and the adjacent Madras is worthwhile. There are lots of guides who offer their services to guide you through the souk to reach the museum, unless you carrya Gps, its a good idea to avail yourself of these services.
