One of the waiters who had just finished his shift, crossed the road to ask how we had enjoyed our stay and wished us a pleasent journey back together with general enthusiastic chint chat. Very genuine. "

"We stayed in the Savoy for 3 nights and although it wasn’t all terrible I would not recommend it. The reception and pool are look nice and up to standard but the hotel is opportunistic with their prices that are a little too steep (€5 euro for a coke where you pay €2 at most if you go anywhere else in the neighborhood or city). The rooms are dated and although they are maintained the cleaning crew could do a much better job. Also airconditioning wasn’t working properly and neighboring clubs and lounges can be heard until 05am if you are on the wrong side of the hotel which we where. Locations isn’t great, menara mall and park are close but you will need a 30-40 min walk or cab to get to other places. On leaving we where charged about €18 euro for taxes that where clearly included in the booking but we couldn’t get our credit card deposit released until we paid. All in all this is a big sized 3 star hotel that in its glory days maybe would have been a 4 or 5 star hotel. "

"The hotel is clean and the rooms suitable (aside from not having a door on the bathroom) however we left as fast as we could! After a confusion , the manager/staff began yelling at us as if the problem was our fault. I travel internationally at least once per month and have never encountered the lack of hospitality and downright hostility that we met with the staff of this hotel. If you would like to enjoy your time in Marrakech, I highly suggest that you stay somewhere where you will be treated with the local hospitality we encountered elsewhere and not this mismanaged hole in the wall!"

"We have stayed there 4 nights. For the really fair and cheap price we payed we are happy with the hotel. The rooms are already a bit older but everything is clean. The cleaners are all very friendly to us and also the reception, they made our bookings for some trips we had and also reservations for the restaurants we have been. The bar is small but nice and we had even some live music there. The breakfast was good and in the price included. Only things negative was a not working credit card terminal on check-out so we had to pay cash (happened also in other hotels in morocco). Another thing but no really that bad was the breakfst wasn't really ready on the day we had a trip. Another morning they had some things missing when we came after 9 am. All in all it's a good hotel for a fair price and I really would recommend this hotel to others especially because of the central position in Marrakesh."

"We arrived late, tired and in need of a hot shower, which was available. Although the room did contain a French window, it did not give us the view we had expected, being at the back of the hotel. In the end, this proved to be much better, far away from the street noice. Big room with TV and great beds, but furniture in need of replacement. Big advantage was the bar downstairs with alcohol availabe, not so easy to find in a islamic country! "

"we moved here from another hotel we were displeased with, so semiramis had all the chance in the world of making a good impressing - and did so in all ways. maybe 10mins walk from the centre of gueliz along a street with several small and cheap resturants. the hotel has a huge garden with lots of activities ready like volleyball, football, archery, tennis and of course a huge pool - as well as some unplanned ground where they will probably get other activities when completed. a nice bar, resturants, spa with hairdresser and a small gym is available. the only thing we could have wanted was a few more degrees so we could've used the pool, but this is hardly the hotels fault that we came here in the coldest period of the year. if i ever go back to marrakech i would most likely check the availability here first."
