Rio De Janeiro hotels & accommodations

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The food was delicious and the room was spacious with everything I needed. The view from the rooftop is spectacular at sunrise and staff is also very friendly. The hotel is at a walking distance from Copacabana beach. I would be happy to stay here again!

I have been to Rio Several Times and I stay at a hotel around the corner. By far this was a much better hotel. The staff was simply amazing and spoke English well. The rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. I can not say anything bad about the hotel. In a great location. I would highly recommend to anyone. Follow me @ ...

Very nice place and location very good breakfast lots of to pick from nothing to add also very nice and friendly staff helping with anything you ask even if not speaking english I had great experience to make few friends Rafael, Thiago, Michel superb guys made our stay perfect and very welcoming till the last seconds of stay was very hard to leave but I believe is on...

perfect location for a stay in Rio de Janeiro. The beach is just right in front of you. and you can have a view of it from the room balcony. For an even better view, just go up to the swimming pool on the top floor, there you have a 270 degree viewing both the beach and the mountain of Christ the redeemer statues. The room is nothing fancy, but clean. friendly and hel...

at first, i was afraid to stay in this hotel, i was very surprised, they gave me a room on level 18 (i stayed for 7 nights. my room facing eastern side of copacabana. i could see very beautiful sunrise everyday just from the balcony of my room. it is easy to access copacabana beach and walking around. the staffs were also helpful. i think they have made some renovat...

Good choice for people who are in early morning flight departure/transit. Hotel located at Terminal 1, no transport require, its just 10-12min walking distance to Termianl 2, ( international departure hall) There is a food court just at the same level (3rd Floor) with Rio Airport Hotel

We stayed in Pestana for New Years this year, and really enjoyed our stay there. The location is great - right in the middle of Copacabana beach, very good buffet breakfast with a huge selection, and really friendly staff who would try their best to accommodate everyone. The only downside is that the rooms are not modern or new. They are quite run down, so it you expec...

The Hotel interior is new, beautiful, and clean. Room were new, not so clean, toilet is new & good Restaurant food is good, delicious Bad: The Hotel doesn't have any signboard or title, we have very hard time to locate the hotel, even inside the hotel doesn't have a signboard or title

We enjoyed our stay at the Windsor excelsior immensely. And would stay again. The price was a little high but it was during carnival. You have to pay 15$ per day for each device which was probably our only issue during our stay. The staff were very friendly but surprisingly lacking in English for an international hotel, however, this seems to be just rio and Brazil in ...

Hotel Atlantico Business is a nice hotel. It is narrow and high rise building with roof top swimming pool and with nice view in Rio de Janeiro and Sugar Loaf. The hotel is located at the central area of Rio de Janeiro (Centro) and near from major attractions and it is not far from Capacabana Beach (five minutes’ drive). The hotel standard, amenities and service...

It is a better business hotel in the CBD area as compared to others and walking distance to the convention sites. Beds are comfortable, breakfast was great and a not too bad gym for working out. Wi-Fi is provided in the room. Busy area during the weekdays and nearby to tram stops and many eateries around. Although is a 4 star hotel, bring own toiletries as it does not ...

this is my business trip, price is not cheap but Sheraton is a world wide hotel, so the services has guarantee, this is the first time i being this hotel, that is near by the beach, just the room a little bit small but it can accept, around the hotel place is beatiful, restaurant is very good!!

I had not stayed in Downtown Rio before so this was a first. This hotel is perfect if you are not a beach bum and prefer to visit historical places of interest and pubs and restaurants. It is right in the centre of Rio and you tend to meet some of the more normal Cariocas, i.e those who dont party 24/7. Thiongs were a good bit cheaper here than in Zona Sul so that w...

I booked the Executive King Room because of the King Size bed. It was very Comfortable and Big. The room itself was a bit on the small size and didn't have enough closet space for me. On the plus side the Safe was big enough to accommodate my 13" laptop. The shower was a good size with good water pressure. However the bathroom was a little tight. My room was towards...
Cheap places to stay in Rio De Janeiro

It is a little hard to locate the hostel; it takes time and effort to reach it as it is on a slope. The staff are helpful and informative; some speak Engish. The dorms are not too big with 9 bunk beds. The room has big lockers to store lugguage. There are small lockers in the lounge next to the reception. You need to have your own locks for big lockers and ask for a ke...

The location was prime (near the Copacabana beach) and amenities such as a drug store and a supermarket were located nearby. The staff were English-speaking and really friendly, but the room was rather cramped (even for a hostel) and lacked ventilation. Not for long term stays.

Hostel offered airport transfer so no problems with finding the hotel's location. It is located in a private & guarded neighborhood, very convenient going around Rio as it is near a train/bus stations. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean and breakfast was sufficient. Only problem was the noise as we were near the kitchen area. Overall, we had a great stay at Injoy. ...

The friendly welcome at the hostel is great! No matter when you arrive, you can lock the luggage in a safe room until you can check in the room. Although the rooms were quite small - but that's normal in Rio for that price - the stay there was very very nice! The whole hostel was very clean (also very very clean toilet), and everybody (included cleaning staff) tried ev...

Pros: I stayed in a 14-bed dorm room but I was alone the whole time I stayed. Breakfast is one of the best/generous offered in the area. I had a really bad asthma attack my 2nd night at the hostel and Cacaia took care of me like a mom - bringing hot chai latte, water, breakfast and even lunch in bed along with extra pillows and blankets... even her own scarf. She and...

Mango Tree was a good place to stay. The staff was very helpful with tips for us, directions, recommendations for restaurants, and assistance with transportation, and airline boarding passes. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels were really good. The location is excellent, with the beach two blocks away and the subway 3 or 4 blocks away. Wi-Fi was very pr...

I've stayed in 5 hostels in Rio. This one had the worst value for the same money. It feels like the owners try really hard to earn as much as possible while providing a bare minimum. The room had a tiny window and felt like a prison cell with poor air ventilation. The bathroom had no soap. You can't even wash both of your hands at the same time, because you have to k...

The location is great, in fact you can have a look at Copacabana beach just when you step out of hotel entrance. The staff is very friendly and the hotel furniture is new, which is a rare find in the hotels nearby. The breakfast options are good too. Its a small hotel, but has a lot to offer.

This was my very first hostel stay and I'm glad I stayed with discovery. The friendly staff made my stay really comfortable and the fellow hostelers were also very amiable. Nevertheless, I must add that staying at discovery really enriched my Rio experience (travelling literally half way across the globe).

After a long trip from Peru, I stopped by RDJ, Brazil to relax. There’s some complication at first but Carol, Andres and Addison is a professional staff and making sure it’s all settled and making sure I am comfortable in the stay. Great locations and great crowd to be around with. Definitely great stay and worth every penny and time staying here. Highly recommended.

The room was renovated. Everything seem new and clean in room 213. You can even smell the in the morning the cleaner was using bleach, which is a plus. Its in a safe area and on catete st which is in a great location, and right next to the subway.

The reception guy is unapologetic, we booked and paid for Bohemian tour a night before the tour but he sent us to Buzios beach. The whole day of that tour is ruined for we spent much of traveling 180km from and to Rio. Upon reaching the hotel, the reception guy just say sorry without sincerity.

Made the booking at the last minute. Initial inspection illustrates that this property is not in the best location, due to it being on a back street and the surrounding poverty. Upon closer review though, it is very close to two important Rio landmarks, The Arcos da Lapa and the Escadaria Selaron. Hotel staff went above and beyond to be helpful. I stayed on the 3rd...

I booked 4 nights, only in the first one we got hot water. So I had to take cold showers. The lady at the front desk just told us she was sorry but we could get hot water. Linens were all thirty, pillows were same way, only the large bed (was a shared room, but I paid for the entire beds) were clean, I hope. Matress are really old, they made sound every time you move...

Stayed in triple room. Clean sheets, comfortable beds. Staff does not speak english but no problem with google translate. They are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious (located at level 1). Accommodation feels secure and has 24hr reception. Within 10 mins walking distance to supermarket. Taxi from Rodoviaria bus terminal costs 36BRL.

Everything was amazing in this stay, and I would definitely like to come back! The front desk worker, Elyaquim, was amazing! He helped us with everything we needed. He had truly made our stay better in the hotel. The facilities are great! Staff very friendly, English speaking.

My mom and I spent a total of 4 nights at this hotel and we had the most incredible stay! The accommodations were great, the staff were the kindest, the breakfast was delicious, the location was prime, and the hotel manager was such a gem! He made sure our stay in Rio De Janeiro was a memorable one. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was truly one of...

The hotel is perfect for a few days in Rio. It's less than 4 minutes walk to Copacabana beach, the breakfast is good and the twin room was fine. Not huge, but more than enough for two people. We will be back! Only problem was the pool wasn't open when I was there :-(

I have booked only one night as i was transit 20 hours in Rio, i reached early at 7:00 , hotel staff refused to give me a room which they already have while i had a trip at 8:00 , it is their right but they was not helpful at all. I returned from my trip at 8 Pm and left hotel at 9 Pm . Room was very spacious and clean, location is good.

For its price, cannot complain! Room was really good - modern and clean. Staff was really helpful with iur queries. Its not near the metro so had to either take taxis or bus. The buses will take you mostly everywhere - but does require research and patience. Overall, recommended!

The location is ideal. It is very near the beach and a variety of good restaurants and a shopping mall in walking distance. The staff are very accommodating, courteous and helpful. Both the buffet breakfast and dinner are superb. Rooftop bar beside the pool is an asset with service a little slow. I noticed that the bar attendant used his bare hands to put ice in drinks...

big hotel 4 blocks off copacabana beach. great deal for the money. not the most luxurious hotel in copacabana but who cares for this price. rooms are big and clean. breakfast buffet will blow your mind. rooftop terrace with a pool overlooking all of rio de janeiro and right by the mountains. very nice.

Location was good and price was reasonable. Meager amenities and even the promised facilities like fitness center were out of order for the duration of our stay. House keeping was slow and lacked attentiveness, if we didn’t make a special request at reception for our room to be cleaned we often got back to the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening to a room that ...

The Sofittel Rio De Janeiro is an excellent hotel. It is located in the best spot you can ask for - just on the border btween Impanema beach and Copa Cabana. You can walk few minutes only in order to enjoy each one of them. The view from most of the roomms is stunning, the staff is very freindly and speaks perfect English. The breakfasr next to the pool and infront of ...

Considering that this hotel just opened not even 3 years ago (former known as TRUMP Hotel Rio de Janeiro) it seems the owner/management does/did not really focus in build-quality and maintainance, which is very sad because the building itself and design-concept are quite unique for the Rio coastline. Most of the hotels - especially those at Copacabana and Ipanema beac...

Lots of tours are offered visiting sights around Rio. These are well worth going on as get to see So so much.
The city is very big. I was in the Copacabana and in downtown. Santo Christ statue, Sugar Loaf and Maracana Stadium were visited.
Amazing city with so many things to see, Crist Retendor, Sugar loaf and Maracana is a must see. And beaches of course.
Nice city in general but not very tourist friendly I find. Locals do not really speak English and it is kind of tough to get by without knowing Portugese or Spanish.
Nice city, great beaches, the food is heavy but extremely tasty, sights like Christus the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf are super nice!
I enjoyed my visit, I did find that it was quiet expensive, and having chatted to the locals they seem to share the sentiment.
Completely attracted and deeply touched almost fell in love. It has everything from beautiful beach, mountain, cute towns and superb architecture to dangerous downtown and simply cooked tasty food.
Rio de Janeiro has a lot to offer; Guiding tours could be expensive but not all attractions are cheap and they can be far from each other so better to go for one tour especially if it is your first time there.
A city with everything, form great beaches to amazing night life, good attractions, good food and friendly people.
This is my seven stay at my favorite city,(after my hometown, New York). Rio is definetely the most beautiful, in terms of Nature, city in the whole wide world.
A day tour around the city is a must with Cristo Redento and the Sugar Loaf, where you can view the city from high up.
Statue of Christ the Redeemer is worth the visit and the spectacular Iguacu falls is enjoyable sights and sound.
The city is definitely a lot cleaner than I had anticipated. Depending on how much time you have in the city I would not recommend the city tour.
RdJ is a lovely city to visit ...two distinct area ..the city centre and the wide beach front areas. Best to spread your stay .
The former capital of Brazil has a fantastic combination of unparalleled natural beauty, great sightseeing, cosmopolitan atmosphere, and interesting cultural and historical attractions.
It's called Cidade Maravilhosa, the Marvelous City, and it certainly honors its name, Rio is the most naturally beautiful city in the wold.
Rio was amazing, although with all big cities you have to be street wise we still felt safe in Ipanema, go to sugar loaf and the Chisto statue, it in itself is so awesome, do not miss it
The international airport is like going back 50 years to old soviet era , cold concrete, not decent F and B or shopping.
Rio de Janeiro has so much more to offer with lots of landmarks and beautiful beach. I like this city very much but the only problem I faced was language problem as some people do not speak English at all.
