Where to stay in Split
Split hotels & accommodations

I booked this hotel on a ferry only an hour away from split because we didn't have one booked. and they luckily had one available. it was a bit hard to find but if you look up at the numbers you'll be able to find it easily. the staff was super professional and check out was even easier than getting this apartment. we had an 8 am bus to Krka waterfalls, so they told us...

I took my wife to Split as part of her 40th birthday celebrations and picked this hotel off trip adviser. It was perfect. Don't need to say much more about it. Great location nice breakfast nice staff, you get the idea. We loved it. Thanks cornara hotel.

The hotel room is unexpectedly big. The room facilities are very simple. Nothing makes me say 'wow', but the swimming pool and those massage pools are really worth-going. The pool is located at the roof top, they have a 360 degree view to see the beauty of Split city. But it is not a walking distance from hotel to old town or pier. We generally took Uber to all touri...

Right in the literal heart of the old part of the city, maybe a three-minute walk to the Peristil, and less than 10 minutes to the ferries. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and we really loved being situated so that it was easy to enjoy the old quarter once most of the day trippers had left. Plus Marko was an absolute gem - met us at th airport right on time...

We stayed in 3 different hotels in Split as we couldnt book all nights in the same and this was the best! An amazing bed, great shower, luxury bedsheets, it is a brand new hotel! There is a great restaurant inside what makes our life easier on the rainy weather. We paid more to stay in other hotels with less quality, so definitly it is a great choice in Split!

I was staying at Prima Luce the night before leaving to go back home. I was greatly impressed by the room and it was a good location. However, at a little before midnight there was lots of pounding going on and then a high pitched constant noise. This, of course, kept me up and I was unable to sleep the whole night leading me to leave with a bad taste in my mouth and b...

Just returned from a brilliant week-long holiday in Croatia, of which we spent three nights in Split at Splendida Palace. From the moment of arrival, our expectations were exceeded even beyond the outstanding reviews we read prior to booking. The rooms are large, finishings are of very high quality, breakfast is great and we loved sitting by the pool in the Croatian su...

The apartment is spotless, tastefully decorated mixing old and new. Host is very kind and helpful, helped to organise taxi to airport and even assisted to print out the boarding pass for us. Excellent restaurant recommendations, quality bed, walk to everywhere yet still in a quite area all made our stay in Split a very comfortable and enjoyable one.

Difficult to find the entrance to the apartment as the picture advertised is vastly different from the actual entrance especially at night! We had to turn several trips round the block to locate it. Parking was a real challenge (worst here compared to other popular spots in Croatia). Also, the apartment on the 4th floor with no lifts! The room is nice and equipped with...

Value for money. Recommended for short stay as the hotel has clean rooms and is located very close to City Center. Staff was friendly and gave us good travel tips. Breakfast spread was good and there is a supermarket just outside the hotel which has everything you would need for a short stay.

Pros. Central location in split. Need to walk through to Dioclecian palace to access. Difficult to find But call host to find. Kitchenette handy. Cons. Bed was hard and not level. Need to invest in good quality bed if going to pay top price. Couldn't use tv for 3 days host didn't know how to fix. Anyway lovely overall.

Worthwhile booking the one bedroom apartment for a comfortable stay. It didnt feel like a hostel and is very clean. Abit hard to find at forsy as there are alot of small alley way streets. Recommend to look up your own directions prior. Tourist information centres and 2 supermarkets are nearby

The staff, Nina, was really kind and friendly. This residence was located in a peaceful place and the view at the balcony was awesome. Nice breakfast with sea view was unforgettable. I am sure this residence would be the best place to stay in Split.

We stayed in the double room which is very modern and a very good standard. The location is great you are only a couple of minutes walk away from the main city. I wouldn’t recommend taking a car as it’s difficult to find any free parking and we had to park in the local car park most of the time which charges 7 kuna per hour.

We were more than pleased when we left this wonderful hotel. The service was outstanding and staff was very helpful and friendly! The hotel is good located, very near the peer, the train station, the bus station, the center and the shopping streets. It is not very easy to find the hotel since it is a part of an apartment building. Just keep your eyes open for that litt...

My comments that follow are not to be seen as a bad review but to help other travels. We stayed in a room which I would not recommend if you were staying for more than a couple of days. An apartment would be much better. We were disappointed that in the 16 days we stayed the room was only cleaned once and we were only supplied with 10 toilet rolls for 16 days. It has n...

Excellent base for our night in Split. we cannot fault the location inside Diocletians palace. The room was clean and comfortable - a double bed & single bed in one room, and a seperate bedroom with a single bed. No kitchen facilities, but ok as we did not require but there was a fridge.Free wifi available and much needed AC ! Baldo (the host) cannot be praised enough-...
Cheap places to stay in Split

It's a hostel, so don't expect a 5star hotel rooms, but it is really perfect if you just want a bed and shower for a cheap price in a super convenient location. I arrived late at night after the reception closed, but the staff communicated with me very well beforehand so that I had no trouble finding the key and checking in by myself. Also I left early the next morning...

I like the hostel with its location, cleanness and staff. It was designed as a hip hotel but there are clear signs of ageing.... There is no kitchen to use that's a minus. There is a restaurant downstairs and I found that are reasonably priced, though I only see a menu with price tags only on the last day I stay in Split. Somehow I am not sure why they didn't show ...

Ideally located a few minutes' walk from the central Diocletian's Palace area in one direction, and the port and bus station in the other, this was a real find and highly recommended to anyone considering a few days' stay in Split. Tucked away off a quiet pedestrianised side-street, it offers excellent peace and quiet despite the central location, and both the apartmen...

room denis hotel is my best choice in split. the host is very nice & poi let and efficient for all the enquirer message before my stay via email, after check in, the host gave me all information i need and they prepared so well. room is so nice, not so big but good enough for a couples travelers, the room was room, except the bathroom is a bit small, the locations is s...

The apartment was fantastic as far as location but please bring earplugs as it's very load from outdoor activity that keeps on going till about 3am. I was on the 1st floor so that didn't help much. I thought check in was strange. On arrival the main door was closed. Luckily I had a transfer booked so the gentleman walking me to the apartment asked the bar man at the b...

We had a one night stay here, en route to Italy from the Islands. The room was large, comfortable and had a washing machine which was super helpful for us!! Helpful staff, great location, within a five minute walk from the Riva. The only downside was that being non-smokers, the room definitely had a 'smoked in' smell which clung to our clothes for the next few days. De...

We absolutely loved Guest House Maris when we visited Split in September. The house is run by a lovely family you couldn’t do more for you, a special thanks to Kristina who helped us out a lot whilst we were staying. The room was beautiful with amazing facilities including a smart TV! And the house was situated along a lovely little street full of restaurants and caf...

We arrived at around noon and was greeted by staff who had previously emailed to know what time we were expected in Split. Rooms Diana is on the floor level (which was great for us as we had large heavy luggage). Clean room and bathroom with AC. Staff very friendly and helpful with how to get around Split. Value for money. Private but small bathroom. Close to marina a...

Located in a lane in a quiet neighbourhood just less than 10 minutes walk away from the old town, bus and train station and port in Split. Small clean room but with facilities that we needed. The map they gave us was useful as they indicated the locations of some recommended restaurants, ice cream stores and market on it. Overall, a great stay!

We stayed at Ivona’s place for 2 nights in Split, and had a pleasant time. She arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport which was a nice touch. The room itself was spacious with much needed powerful AC! The shared bathroom was very clean and didn’t even really feel ‘shared’ as it was always clean & available. The shower was especially nice! And lastly, the...

Great apartment, spacious, close to the main bus stop, port. The owner was super nice and picked us up from the bus stop as it was raining when we reached there. He also helped me a lot even before going there with a lot of information which made it possible for me to make it a budget trip. He even stocked the fridge with milk, juice and cold drink so that we dont face...

The apartment is centrally located, 100 meters from the main bus station and 200 meters from the Palace area. We could easily go to all the attraction places in Split on foot. As it is in Split, please expect narrow cobblestone alleys and steps to get into the building. That could probably present a slight obstacle to those with mobility issues. The apartment has all...

This was one of the best places I stayed during my trip across Croatia. The apartment is about a 5-7 minute walk from the old city, close to a grocery store, and the bus station. The owner was easy to communicate with via email and whatsapp and went above and beyond to make my stay a great one -- I arrived at 10:30pm and she came to the bus station to accompany me back...

Totally recommend this place. Everything went perfect from booking to departure, Suzana contacted me soon after the booking (i was amazed by this) , then she pick me up from bus station on the day i arrive, upon arrival at the apartment, there were cookies and juice on the table. The place is clean, has everything i need, located in fantastic suburb.Suzana also keeps ...

This apartment is located very near to the old town of Split, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants etc. The owners seemed very nice, and the apartment was very clean. 10 to 15 min walk to the beach which is a nice walk. Stayed for 3 nights and found it to be a great place to explore an amazing city

Mila is just absolutely precious. She is accomodating, kind and funny. I got caught in the rain and the infamous Croatian "Burra" ...which left me soaked ...and she gave me a hair dryer to dry off my sweater and shoes and showed me how to turn the heat up ....and made sure I was comfortable. It was an unseasonable cold front, but she made sure I was ok. She also made c...

In the heart of the city, great rooms, very fresh and modern in style with satellite TV and high speed internet. All rooms situated on the 3rd floor of an old mansion (Split style of hotels). Perfect for solo travellers. Reception is open from 9am till 5pm. Very friendly and welcoming staff. A small well equipped shop just next to the entrance. The only minus is t...

We stayed at the FM for 12 days and found the apartment to be clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owner Zoran was an excellent host ensuring we had everything we needed for our holiday. There are amenities at the front of the building, grocery store, caffe, bakery and shopping nearby. There is a beach nearby. The Riva is about a 20-30 minute walk down a Main St...

Procurator 7 is a European hotel on the third floor of a 160 year old building. When you open the door to our room, you see the glassed-in bathroom, which made for interesting photo opportunities. And after falling on marble steps near the street, a firmer mattress might have been kinder to my back. However, the staff was gracious and helpful, even carrying our ...

Only two downsides of this apartment. It's noisy, but you have double windows which once closed can make it absolute silence in the apartment. And it's on 2nd Floor without a lift. But still to stay in the apartment was worth it. The host was ultra friendly and informative. The apartment is really chic.

No lift, may not be suitable for elderly or those with heavy luggages. However, the staff helped to move the luggages up and down. It is a good place to stay, at night not too noisy and convenient with supermarket, bakery, liquor shops Ard the corner, walking distance. Will definitely come back and recommend to others!

Fabulous place to stay. So close to the centre of the city, and lovely and quiet. Valeria was wonderful. although we were delayed 5 hours and arrived at midnight, she stayed up and made sure she spent time showing us the facilities of the apartment and then came the following morning to give us some tips for the city. She was a life saver.

the location of the hotel is convenient, just next to the old town, around 10 minutes walk to the Palace. for my travel plan reason, I need to leave early in the morning and cannot join the breakfast, the reception suggested that they can provide me breakfast package to take away, with a sandwich, a bottle of juice, an apple and a cookie, this is THE sweetest experienc...
