"The bh Hotel is a nice, quiet place to stay located behind St Joseph's Cathedral. It was my first trip to Taunggyi in 16 years and was nice to revisit this rapidly growing city nestled on the top of the Shan escarpment. The bh Hotel is convenient to most things downtown and an easy walk to Ms. Linn's restaurant (a left turn at the cathedral corner and another left turn) who serve an excellent Pegu Club Cocktail. The bh Hotel's breakfast was quite good and staff friendly. It's location is good for exploring the new Taunggyi, monsoon weather relenting. Otherwise, the hotel is located near shopping and easy walking distance from some of Taunggyi's restaurants."

"The weekend I was unfortunate enough to choose this hotel to stay for a business meeting in Taunggyi the hotel had a large group of young people to stay. They had a very loud outside disco on both Friday and Saturday nights and the group continued to celebrate noisily in their rooms. The restaurant served Orange soda and Coca-Cola for breakfast instead of fruit juice. My room was very expensive 140,000 Myanmar Kyat per night. There are much quieter and better value hotel options in Taunggyi which I will use in the future."
