Comfortable and spotlessly clean”
the clover is well situated, only a casual 10 minute walk from the shewedagon pagoda, and 5 minutes from the gardens. everything else was a quick, cheap taxi ride away. the room and ensuite bathroom were large and roomy and spotlessly clean! excellent airconditioning, with individual controls, and buckets of hot water and daily supplies of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste etc. the room looked exactly as the photo, cool and uncluttered. the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the bedding very luxurious. all the staff were most helpful and courteous, and really went out of their way to accommodate us and our requests. altogether a very easy stay, and very reasonably priced. i would happily recommend it for business, tourism or shopping. we personally would have loved a swimming pool, but for a shorter stay i don’t think it is an issue (we were there 6 days). breakfast was comfortable with choices accommodating both asian and western tastes. the power supply in myanmar/yangon can be a bit erratic, but the generator clicked in speedily and efficiently. it made the free wi-fi a bit erratic too, but that was way out of the hotel’s control. our stay at the clover was a very pleasant experience, and i would recommend this hotel.

the Place to Stay in Yangon”
for a mid range hotel this is the best. the staff is great, the location is not in the center of yangon, but only a very cheep short taxi ride to the center. the resturant on the 7th floor has good food with a great view of the shwedagon paya. it is a short walk to the shwedagon paya. it is a new hotel with very clean large rooms. hot water was available all the time. air conditioning works good. when the power goes off the in house back up power comes on quickly. you could not ask for a better friendly staff. i would stay here again if i went back to yangon. thanks to everyone at the clover hotel for a great stay.

Great hotel with very friendly staff”
We really liked Clover Hotel. Big spacious room allowed us to kick back and breathe a little! The staff were friendly they looked after us like family. Always smiling and ready to help you. Clover is located a few minutes taxi from downtown Yangon and Shwedagon Pagoda. The hotel restaurant has amazing views of Shwedagon especially at night. I preferred staying here rather than downtown- less crazy and a little quieter. Also we had minimal disruptions to power outages as they have a brand new generator and all electrical wiring within rooms were new.

Friendly helpful staff, easy location”
Second stay at the hotel, both times I've been impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We stay here when we have business in Yangon, the people working the front desk always make it easy for me to contact offices I need to get to, secure a taxi and explain to the drivers where I need to travel to. It's pretty easy getting to and from the airport from this location, and they are very helpful when colleagues and I need to drop off materials to the front desk to get to each other. The food alone is not what draws us to the hotel - although they have a full buffet and quick room service. The hotel is quick, convenient and stress free for us to stay, and what keeps us using Clover Hotel again.

Could I go to Yangon, again”
This is second visit to Clover Hotel in Yangon. I arrived in Yangon and came to this around 7 o'clock. The staffs kindly welcomed me, and I lodged room 406. I had requested a room in which I could see Shewdagon Pagoda, but they gave me 4th floor room, which is the opposite site. It was the only reggretable thing that I had during 4 days. Other things such as breakfast, convenience, and room are nice to me except bad Internet Service. Very kind people, guiet loding state and good place to go every where I want to go, nice room and good mading condition, etc.

Comfort and convenience combined”
We have come to prefer Clover at Bahan for our many trips back to Yangon, as the price is right for longer stays, and all our basic requirements are covered. The staff are very friendly and responsive, and quite a bit of effort is put in to make sure the rooms and bathroom facilities are clean. The view of the Shwedagon Pagoda from the breakfast room always sets a calming tone to our day!

Nice hotel for business trip”
i often go to yangon for business. it was my first stay in clover hotel but very much satisfy with reasonable price and service. first, location of the hotel is heart of yangon, near kandawdge lake, japanese embassy. second, internet is free at the 1st floor, phone charges only 100kjak per minute. third, room is very big and clean.

Extremely helpful and hospitable!”
A small new hotel in Rangoon, the staff went above and beyond to help me when my booking was on the wrong day (my fault!). They actually let me use their own laptop in their offices to rebook. The room was modern and clean (non-smoking hotel), with plenty of staff on hand to assist you with anything. They even let me up to the 'balcony' on the 7th floor to take photos and have a smoke :) Not far from the main sites and about 20mins drive from the airport. Definitely well priced and recommended. Thank you Clover Hotel.

value for price”
clover hotel is new. room is spacious and clean. hotel staff is courteous and helful. its better to stay at deluxe room instead of superior room because two deluxe rooms on each floor facing the schwedgagon pagoda. you must stay on the 6th floor, then you can see the beautiful view of the shwedagon pagoda especially at sunset when its glided stupa is bathed in the fading rays of the sun and takes on a magical glow. buffet breakfast is ok with me but always the same, no change. you can just walk about 5-10 minutes to the shwedagon hotel from clover hotel. power failure everyday about 2-3 times but resume in about a minute. good luck!

Excellent”
Highly recommended to all except those expecting stars facilities! First the plus side. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, from doormen to reception to chambermaids ro restaurant staff. Breakfast though repetitive (I stayed 7 nights) is highly satisfactory considering it is included in the room price (which is highly reasonable for a 3 stars hotel). Both western and local asian food and fruits are available, with cold fruit juice milk hot coffee (expresso cappuccino latte, from machine) tea chocolate all available. to wash it down Dinner also available at reasonable price with a nice beer at just above usd1 per can to enjoy while looking out at the beautiful schwedagon pagoda night view. Location is quiet and convenient. Walking to kandawi lake and schwedagon pagoda is a breeze in the early morning (it gets bright at 530am) when its cool and there is little traffic. Getting taxis is easy and cheap and the doorman will get the cab and the price before you board. Very reasonable and cheap. The chambermaids did a very good job of cleaning every day. Going out for walks to the lake in the morning is nice, the doorman even kept a lookout for us when we were caught in the rain one morning while returning to the hotel from our walk and he sent two assistants running with umbrellas to cover my wife and I from the rain. (Very upset I could not say a proper thank you to him when I left as he apparently worked night shift until morning and was not around when we checked out at lunch time). The minor issues were the water pressure for the showerhead (it was weak for some reason though the wash basin tap pressure was ok) and the need to reset the main aircon switch each time i returned to the room (first time, called reception and they immediately sent up a bellboy to reset it immediately!) If I go back, I know where I will be staying again. Definitely Clover Hotel!

Another good stay”
As on previous stays the hotel suited my needs for a 2-week business trip. Taxi drivers usually know Wingabar Street even if they don't know the Clover Hotel itself. It's near to a pleasant park and the Kerawaik (Royal Barge)is within walking distance. Food at the hotel is good and the restaurant service is good. Compared with other hotels in Yangon the value for money is good, but ALL Yangon hotels are over-priced!

Fair value in Burmese context of soaring prices”
Burma's opening up to the world goes along with hotels tripling (or worse!) rates for very poor rooms without any understanding of relations between prices and services provided. Within this context the $85 for a very nice deluxe room in Clover is surely fair and even great value. Yangon is like Bangkok a place you do by taxi so location is not really all that important but nonetheless, at walking distance of the Shwedagon pagoda and a nice park Clover also tops in this regard.

Cozy, convenient, comfortable”
Clover has a niche following among repeat visitors to Yangon who need a clean and comfortable place in a convenient location (the latter is important because of the oft unpredictable traffic snarls all over town, especially when it rains) at a reasonable price. The rooftop restaurant - where we get breakfast every day - is cozy, with a dazzling view of the Shwedagon that never fails to fascinate first-timers or repeat visitors alike. I was pleasantly surprised with some additions to the breakfast buffet for my recent visit: - there was hot rice porridge and Japanese-style soup on offer daily, an important staple for Asian visitors. I hope the bread and pastry selection could be improved for the Westerners' choice - right now, it's mostly just your basic white bread (which isn't too bad when toasted properly), although some days had local approximations of Danish pastries.

Lovely hotel Near Shwedagon”
About one week before leaving prior to leaving for Yangon, I emailed the hotel and received a reaply from them promptly to confirm my reservation. It was a good omen. The rooms are large and as requested, we got the rooms facing Shwedagon. The view was less than pristine due to some construction work outside the confines of the hotel. Cleanliness of the rooms were top notch with all the basic amenities expected from a hotel room. They even provided a hair dryer together with complimentary drinking water and coffee. The food on the whole was just passable and we wished that the menu for breakfast was rotated as we didn't fancy having the same kind of food for breakfast every day. It was not a big issues as we have planned to have breakfast elsewhere anyway. Though there was a lack of convenience stores in that area, the location is great for visiting the Shwedagon and we were assured of a good night's sleep The quality of staff they have employed in their service is exemplary and rivals any 5 star hotel. Check in and out was swift, the doormen and bell boys were polite and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. If you happen to be in that area, get hold of transportation services. He speaks reasonably good English, charges reasonably and is very obliging in pointing out sites that may escape people who are not familiar with Yangon. (He pointed out the old Parliament House). Our stay was extra memorable because of the staff. Highly recommended. We stayed there from 25th to 28th August 2014.

Very New and Clean with reasonable price”
This hotel is very brand new, clean and good location. I travel with my girlfriend and my parents. We book 2 room during 14July-16July and get upgrade to Deluxe room where one of our room has a very nice clear view of Shwedagon pagoda. The room is big with a good condition of furniture. Standard room is okay but less window and small. The owner, Ugene is young with good concept of doing business. He kindly offer a free wifi to our room and greet us with kindness. We do not hesitate to stay in clover Hotel for the next time in Yangon. The location is fine due to a lot of taxi and incredible cheap!!! Thanks clover, we'll go back for sure...

Excellent service, big clean rooms”
My wife and I stayed 5 nights and we only had one small complaint. The water pressure in the shower was too low. Other than that it was a fantastic stay and I would certainly use Clover Hotel again. The dining menu is fairly limited but just down the street is a local restaurant that serves some excellent fare and it's cheap. Location is good. It's not in town but that's only a short taxi ride away. And you can get a taxi from almost anywhere in Yangon! However, it's quiet and Shwedagon and the Kandawgyi park is a short walk away as well as a couple of other attractions.

Great Location Wunderfull Staff ”
I was for a couple of Days in Clover Hotel and must really say. This is a fantastic Hotel. It´s not a 5 Star Hotel but the Service and the People are 5Star :-) Very nice Staff always with a smile on the Face and very supportive. I really felt very comfortable during my visit. Also the rooms are really clean a and the Location is great. The area is quite and far away from Shevegan Pagode. I can only say if you go to Rangoon go for this hotel. Important! As the requests on Hotels is quite high it is better to book in advance.

top 3 hotel choices for consideration ”
overall is great on the Clover Hotel except on agoda side we choose hotel car to pick up at the airport, we waited for 20 mins+ then we thought that should have something wrong (after that found out that this service is not active from Agoda in Yangon ???)
