Find Hotels in Denmark

First of all, the hotel is literally opposite the main entrance to the Copenhagen Central station - so it's really a fantastic location. Having said that, the station is a bit confusing and I went out the opposite side and then wasted 15-20 minutes trying to find the hotel - eventually someone told me to go back in and get out on the other side, and then the hotel was literally across the road. Easy to get to from the airport, easy to get around the city. It's a lovely old building with a quaint elevator - but all very well maintained. Staff were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful with recommending and booking restaurants and telling me how to get there. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was very nice indeed. Gym was a bit basic but not bad - I got in 2 very decent workouts Room was nice and cosy, not cramped. I'd read online that the proximity to the train station could make the hotel noisy but I slept like a log on both nights and nothing disturbed me. I also went into the highly recommended Library bar for a very nicely made Old Fashioned - and it was a very nice bar, great lighting and decor Overall, very highly recommended.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever booked in Agoda! The view from our window is absolutely stunning! It’s literally falling asleep at the tranquility of the lake (as seen from the window), and waking up to the enchanting view of the scenery. The location is perfect - just a few minutes walk to the center, yet far enough to avoid the crowd and busy streets of Copenhagen. Reaching the hotel from the airport (and vice versa) is surprisingly easy, as it is just a 3-minute walk from the bus stop (we took bus 5c from the airport when we arrived and took the same bus when we departed-very convenient!) The only thing I feel lacking in this hotel are swimming pool and jacuzzi/sauna, but otherwise, everything else is perfect!

I chose this hotel was just 2 minutes walk to the place of business we needed to visit. The staff were friendly and professional. When we arrived at the room, the first thing of course I checked was the cleanliness. The room was clean but then when I opened the refrigerator, there was an opened soda (I did not pay for it though). The hotel have a restaurant with very good variety of food for everyone´s taste. I thought that the price for the stay was fair considering we were 3 (2 adults and 1 child) and with the amenities that the hotel had. The location is family friendly. The metro is a few minutes walk and the park where the little mermaid is, is just a stone throw away. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good and the selection is for everyone´s taste, I think. The food was not overpriced like most hotel restaurants. For a four star rating, the only thing I did not appreciate was paying extra for wifi (100 for 2 hours) . There was free wifi at the lobby and I would expect this kind of set up from a budget hotel.

We stayed at 12 hotels during our 16 days Europe and this is our best hotel, beating Hilton Hotel Copenhagen Airport (we spent 2 nights there) next to airport. Highly recommended since they have shuttle bus to make up for the short distance from the airport. Very friendly and professional staffs. Unfortunately, there is no shopping, restaurant or park near the hotel within walking distance. Metro station is just a short walk away. Overall, we prefer this hotel compared with Hilton Hotel.

The hotel is ok for business travellers who just want to stay for one night. It has seen the best times and should undergo a renovation. My room was of a reasonable size. The most disappointing fact was a bad smell from the shower. If possible try to book a room with view to the sea, overlooking the harbour. Parking is possible behind the hotel for DKK 59 per night. Dining outside is easy as only a few steps from the hotel you will find the first restaurants.

The hotel is great. We had a sea view room which was worth the extra. The balcony was a bonus. The view over the bay was lovely. The beach is only a few minutes walk away. The room was quite large and very clean. The bathroom was a good size and had a bath. There is a small casino attached to the hotel. The breakfast room was opulent and the food good. The orange juicer was pretty cool!

My sister and I were looking forward of the 2 night stay at HC Andersen Hotel at Odense. We guess because the room booking was not a direct booking with the hotel, we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor facing the busy road and above the gabbage area. There is no air conditioning service and we were told that the temperature at night is comfortable if we open the window. In consideration of safety issue (the room is on the 2nd floor and it is facing the busy road), we decided to keep the window closed during night time. In future we think it will be wiser to book direct with the hotel as we hope to be allocated a rokm with better location.

Staff were very helpful about the few things we needed. A minor problem with the hot water was dealt with really quickly. Their friendly attitude creates a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is seriously overpriced. £80 for 4 burgers and chips and a drink each? We ate there just the once! I realise that Danish prices are higher than UK but this was a true rip-off. Also I think we'd paid enough for the accomodation at £750 for the week so was irritated by all the hire charges for bedding and tennis racquets and fuel.

This is one of those hotels where the receptionist attends you... from a sister hotel! And they do it thanks to a camera, a screen and a microphone. There is then a machine that delivers the room key (a magnetic card) and another machine to insert your credit card in case the room was not paid in advance. The receptionist -by the way- was very nice and helpful and, in fact, she was just sitting in the sister Hotel which is just 50 meters away from Ydes Hotel. Once I got the key, I went up the steep stairs (there is also an elevator) to the third floor where there was my single room. This was very small (ca. 6 sq.meters) but it was cosy, pleasant and very clean. There was a very comfortable bed, a small desk, 2 chairs, a flat screen TV, a narrow wardrobe, a safety box, a hairdryer and a kettle (but you have to bring the coffee or the tea bags). Everything was modern, and well maintained. With reference to the ensuite bathroom, this was spacious (ca. 4 sq. meters), very clean and with a nice window. The location is also a good one, as it is very central, very close to the Odense Central Railway Station (a 10 min. walk maximum) and very quiet and safe. From the hotel is very easy to reach on foot the different pedestrian streets where there are several good dinning options and bars(I recommend, f.ex., Froggys Cafe (Vestergade 68), Restaurant Djengis Khan (Overgade 24-26) or the Cafe Biografen (Brandts Passage 39-41)). With reference to the breakfast, this is served in the sister Hotel. The breakfast consists of rolls, white and rye bread, different kinds of yogurt, different kinds of jam, oatmeal, cornflakes, muesli, different kinds of cold meat and cheese, coffee, tea, milk, fruit juices, fresh fruits and vegetables, scrambled eggs and bacon, and soft boiled eggs. Let me add as well that as a guest in the Ydes Hotel, you can get free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruits at the restaurant in the sister Hotel. So I'd stay here again!

on the begging i was quite excited to stay in that hotel cos i heard lot of good things about it ... but that was all .... first night shows how uncomfortable this hotel is i slept 2 might on a floor cos beds was terrible ... noise from the outside was nor really helping to specially when youngsters had a meeting outside hotel (shouting bottle smashing etc...)cleanness of room will be fine but pls dining table in room need cleaning not only from the outside but also from the inside cos looks disgusting ( spills food crumbs no one was cleaning that for ages ) even me i found out about that by accident ... for 2 nights its way to much specially for Scandic class hotel ... me ill not stay there again sorry ... for that price its much more and much better hotels around then that ...

The Comwell Holte Hotel is ca. 35 km away from Central Copenhagen and the North Coast of Sealand. It is relatively close to the castles in Hillerod and Fredensburg. The rooms are of decent size (except for shower) and comfortable. Everything is clean and the reception staff is very helpful. The hotel is only suitable for travelers with a car. Beware of the address, there are several Kongegade 195 and one has to find the one north of Holte.

I found this hotel to be very conveniently located right next to the train station and across the road from the aquarium. It was exceptionally child friendly, with even an indoor play area. You could always purchase the tickets for the aquarium at a cheaper cost. The only negative was that the rooms needed to have the windows opened as they smelled as if the windows had not been opened in a long time. But that was ok as it was easy to rectify by the guest. The hotel had a very old fashioned style with paintings and also several relaxation rooms including for playing pool. Very close to the ferry as we walked there in 10 minutes with a small child.
