"I have recently come back from Burma after visit family there and we decided to spend a couple of night in a hotel so that we could see Burma for ourselves. The ParkRoyal was a wonderful experience, I have a Spa and visited all the buffet choices, the international Buffet, Chinese Buffet and The Japanese Buffet which was my favorite. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the Hotel was walking distance from Markets and the Shwe Dagon Pagoda, if you can't walk in the heat then a taxi ride was only 2000 kyat pretty much anywhere from the hotel. I will definately go again, Thanks Agoda!!"

"A boutique hotel, location is central hence moving around to places of interest are rather convenient. Had an issue during my stay and their acknowledgement on the matter & speed in resolving it was rather impressive. Comparable to a 5-star hotel service, anytime! While the room is small in size (Good Room type), you have everything you need. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast spread is limited (breads, muffin, limited cold meat) and they offer 1 main course from their morning menu, which I think is insufficient considering the portion served. Increasing the portion by 20-30% will be more satisfying. A good place for dinner, tasty choices of meals & portion served is sufficient compared to morning breakfast. They have a live band playing on Friday night - enjoyable. It will be my choice of hotel when I travel back to Yangon, without hesitation. However, do take note that this is a NON-Smoking hotel. You are allowed to smoke outside. Well done to the Operation Manager & the front office"

"Really enjoyed our honeymoon stay. Had a Junior suite, expensive by Burmese standards, but comfortable and clean. The hotel food was clean and safe in a town with a lot of dodgy hygiene, and the location was great. The staff were helpful, and would get you a taxi and arrange the price: 2000 kyat (2 US) to downtown or the Shwe Dagon Pagoda (go early, it's hot!), 8000 to the airport. A short walk from the hotel is Htwe Oo Puppetry, a 'must see'. Also, see the Sule Pagoda at night, (open until ten) , quite fabulous! Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, both western and eastern. Have the man make you an omelette to order! Room service was also good and fast, same price as the restaurant. Buy a lungi at the Boyoke market (opens at 9 but arrive early to sit and have tea and watch real life as the locals get ready for their day). A lungi is great for their climate (lets the air flow and keeps the Mosquitos off), and covers your legs like you need to to enter temples. And you will get a lot of positive interactions from the Burmese! Have fun, but bring your meds. The hygiene is improving, but still terrible. My wife got sick, but happily there are a few clinics around where the speak English and know how to handle Travelers dysentery. The hospital across the street from the hotel is right out of the dark ages, so forget that. I really enjoyed Yangone, but it's not for the faint of heart. Stay hydrated! The local draft beer is really great! 600 kyat a glass! Cheers!"

"very good price for the modern style room. Location was central and not so far from the airport. Bathroom was modern but simple and lacked some features like extra towels and personal care items. Dry cleaning NOT available the same day even when I offered to pay double - only available the next afternoon regardless of the time I turned it in the day before. Staff were great and spoke English well enough. Wifi in the room was strong and reliable. Room style was modern and the bed, linens, and pillows were quality and comfortable. Hotel has a nice warm friendly feel. 10 minute walk to the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. "

"This is the best hotel in downtown Yangon. Excellent breakfast buffet, room cleaniness with nice AC and a hot shower and a good toilet with a plenty of toilet papers, friendly hotel staff, and excellent location, includes two blocks to the beautiful city mall that has a good Pizza Hut. If I return to Yangon, I will stay this hotel again."

"Highly recommended. The hotel is within walking distance (about 1km) from the Shwe Dagon, there is a great noodle place nearby, near to Bogyoke market. The hotel also has a great rooftop bar that serves decent food and drinks, and also has a view of the Shwe Dagon. Hotel also has free wifi (though it gets slow during peak internet usage periods). Couldn't have asked for more."
