“WOULD HAVE SLEPT BETTER AT THE AIRPORT”
IF YOU SEE THIS, TAKE IT AS A WARNING AND RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE. I booked 10 beds for my family for 2 nights. It was the worst experience of our lives. We wished we slept in the airport bench instead. First off, they charged an extra fee of ***HKD upon check in. The personnel even had the audacity to lecture me about not reading the "fine print". It all started with the elevators -- which were also used as service elevators where the garbage bags from each floor got collected and the dirty dishes got sent up and down. It is the only elevator for about 10 other hotels in this area. Each time, it took us 45 minutes just to get up and down the elevator. Beware! If you take the stairs, there are cockroaches walking freely and vomit-stained walls. I wish I was kidding. It was seriously a biohazard. The reception personnel was rude and demanding. The person who helped with the check-in was the only nice person. I wish I could say "at least the rooms were clean". They were not. The pictures were probably taken 30 years ago. The rooms DO NOT look anything like the photos posted anywhere. There were no ammenities - no toothbrushes, only one room had toilet paper in all 4 rooms we booked, they even forgot to put the towels in. When they arrived, the towels had visible stains on them. I wished the horrors ended there. But on top of that, the bathrooms were gross. One room had the smell of a boy's locker room after a really intense training day. When I turned on the AC, some cockroach legs came out. On top of that, the water heater was too hot, we had to improvise and mix hot water from the shower and the water from the sink to get somewhat clean. One good thing we got out of this is trauma bonding. This was a really good lesson for us on what HOTEL TO NEVER BOOK AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
