Such a dude”
Dude working the desk at night totally went beyond the call for us - bought bus tickets within minutes of our asking for his help, offered to show us the station, let us shower late afternoon when we returned from trekking and before boarding night bus.

Nice Location”
Location and Facilities are fair but there is No AC in rooms. If winter season, it wouldn’t be required but in summer time, AC might b required and will the rate and facility, I feel little expensive. The staff are very friendly and willing to help and food are fair.

Great staff, nice stay”
What made our stay for me and my friend was the amazing staff. They were really accommodating and helpful. From early check-in after a night bus free of charge, to serving early breakfast to us the next morning and a free ride across town to our race. Would definitely stay here again if I would go back to Kalaw. Location is very central, lots of nice restaurants around.

Great staff”
Way too noisy for me. Maybe I just got unlucky but tonight I was there I could hear everything in the whole hotel. It wasn't the street noise it was the people inside the hotel. People slamming the doors the door alarms going off. I wanted to go to sleep early because I had an early day the next day. Impossible to go to sleep early for me

Perfect spot to explore Kalaw”
Stayed in a superior room which is on the third floor with views over pagodas. Stayed one night and then one again after a 3 day trek so we could leave our luggage which was no problem. Fairly basic but clean. Beds ok but pillows hard. Good breakfast which fills you up ready for your day of exploring. Their 'Dream' restaurant just a hop, skip and jump down the road does lunch & dinner. We just had a drink there but their menu was extensive and fairly priced in lovely surroundings. The hotel has a hand drawn map of Kalaw with things to go and see. We spent a day walking (miles!) seeing all the sights but very enjoyable. A lovely town to enjoy a sweet coffee or green tea, people watching. Would probably stay here again if we were to come back to Kalaw but I predict they're going to have some stiff competition up and coming. Wi-fi was slow - but this is a general problem in Kalaw, not the hotel's.

one of the better choice in kalaw”
Dream Villa is homey and i love the smell of pine! it's all over the place, it really makes the hotel relaxing. The rooms may be outdated, but the comfort it provides more than makes up for that. it's centrally located, everything u need to see in kalaw is made accessible by the hotel's location. of course the staff is very attentive and friendly. the internet is somewhat unstable at times, but that's not the hotel's problem. it's like that everywhere in myanmar, only magnified by kalaw being in the province where the service is not up to par with the bigger cities. i really like this hotel. even from the looks outside, youll know its a nice comfortable place to stay.

Charming property, filling breakfast, convenient location”
We stayed at Dream Villa for one night waiting for our trek to Inle Lake. It was more expensive than any of our other stays, but the facilities were a step up from our previous accommodations - hardwood floors, upgraded bedding, etc. The room was clean, plenty of space, and the beds were comfortable. Wifi was pretty weak even near the router, but so far that's been a typical experience in Myanmar. Breakfast in the AM was filling - fruit, eggs, pancakes - with the option for extra portions. We left well rested and ready for our trek! Would stay again in Kalaw.

Difficult to beat!”
The other reviews will cover the spotless rooms and the convenient location. I want to tell you that I had a terrible bout of food poisoning (from a cafe in Mandalay, I think) and the first day that I arrived in Kalaw, I felt out of sorts. This feeling grew until I decided I needed to go to the pharmacy. The woman who manages the front desk and all the other staff (I did not ever catch her name) took me across the street to the pharmacy, rubbed my back while I vomited, ordered me special plain broth the next day, and I felt like I was the only customer there in an actually very packed little cottage hotel. I can't express to you how comforting this was, especially as I was traveling alone. I would recommend this hotel, and I would return to this hotel, no doubt about it. Now for a few details: It's in town, making the 3am bus arrival from Mandalay less chaotic. On the other hand, its in-town location means you are awoken by announcement/prayer from either the nearby monastery or mosque at 5am sharp. The breakfast is large and plentiful and perfect for a day of trekking. The rooms are quaint and spacious all at once. The small sun room in the front is a wonderful place to do a little reading if you, say, are too sick to trek but too well to stay in bed, for example.

Exceptional”
The best place to stay in Kalaw hands down! Not only are the rooms clean and well kept but they have really lovely terraces where you can enjoy your mornings and evenings. They were even willing to stay up very late at night to welcome us in from our long bus journey to Kalaw. Wifi was not super fast but it was quick enough to send basic emails. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Kalaw.

Awesome place!”
We arrived there after our trek of 3 days from Lake Inle. After offering us a fruit juice, we felt bad, because they wanted to clean our shoes full of mud. The room was surprisely well decorated and very confortable for the price. 2 minutes walk to almost every good restaurant in the neighborhood. I must say that the manager and her whole staff were awesome. They helped us for everything we needed, even to re-plan our trip back home which was sooner than expected. Thank you a lot one more time Dream Villa!

Beautiful Colonial Building”
This place was being refurbished in July 2014 whilst we were there. They put us in a lovely huge room at the front of the hotel with massive windows and a stunning balcony. They arranged treks and airport transfers. Breakfast was great and we loved the pancakes, although there was lots more on the menu. They kept bringing us food. Staff are lovely and wont let you lift a finger. Very close to the market and restaurants (2 min walk). Check out 7 Sisters restaurant whilst you are in town. Defo one of the best in Kalaw!!

Comfort zone in Kalaw”
We stayed two nights and enjoyed it a lot! Dream Villa is located close to the market and the very busy and noisy main road, where we were happy not too stay since I n the evenings the traffic is loud and the air really bad. The stuff was very friendly and helpful (trekking tours could be organized here, very reasonable laundry), breakfast was great! I can only recommend staying here and then go trekking to Inle Lake!

Nice hotel in centre of Kalaw”
Nice and clean hotel. We had a bigger room than standard and it was a cosy room with many windows. Centrally located in the small village of Kalaw, near the Market where you can arrange your Trekkings. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
