"By any standard, Sanctum Inle delivers an excellent experience from the meet, greet and transfer at the airport, the welcome on arrival and buggy transfer to the room and through the whole stay. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the resort which is only 2 years old. It exceeded our expectations, which are quite high. Our room was at the far end of the resort on the top floor with a balcony providing excellent views across the lake including great sunsets. The room was excellently appointed and spacious with good lighting which is often a weakness of hotel rooms. The food at breakfast and for evening meals was excellent - fresh, well presented and well cooked but the menu could be a bit restrictive for a longer stay. The infinity pool is a good size and great for relaxation. The highlight was undoubtedly the boat trip around the lake - we were circumspect abut floating markets thinking we had 'been there , done that' elsewhere in Asia. Inle Lake is different - we chose a half day tour and covered a lot of villages and crafts - silversmiths, cigar making, lotus weaving, boat making, umbrella making, as well as the inevitable monastery and pagoda. It was relaxing, there were no hard sells and the whole trip was memorable and a real pleasure.. Our boatman was excellent and took great care of us. You could probably find a cheaper boat trip from the nearby village but I am not confident that you would receive such an excellent experience - USD25 total, not per person, was brilliant value. If we had stayed longer we would likely have eaten more in the nearby village, where there are some good basic restaurants - e.g. the Inle Palace restaurant (bright green and yellow painted bamboo structure) halfway across the wooden bridge in the village. Overall, the staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly and helpful; the one exception was the GM of the Hotel who seemed disinclined to engage - which was surprising as the foundation for such a great se"

"I would Highly recommend that anyone travelling to Inle Lake in Myanmar visit this hotel. We took a 30-40 minute boat ride from Nyaung Shwe... and it was amazing. I could have lived at this hotel! Inle Lake is one of those very special places on earth that you will never forget. The views from this hotel are stunning. We had the Lake Front view, and it was worth every penny! We had our complimentary breakfast delivered to our room each morning and sat on the front porch looking across the water. This place is like a wildlife preserve, you will see water buffalo, and farmers working on the water front. The room was spectacular, if we were married this would have been our honeymoon destination. "

"This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed and is very much at the upper end of these types of resorts. The hotel is set on the shore of Inle Lake, in a fantastically serene and beautiful location that allows you to watch the sunset over the mountains. You can access the hotel via boat and road, although it's mainly accessed by boat. It's about a 20 minute motorboat journey to the lakeside town where you'd pick up a transfer to go back to Heho Airport. The hotel is extremely sympathetic to the natural surroundings, meaning its size is really not apparent from first appearance, with the rooms comprising single story pitched bungalows scattered here and there. We went for the cheap cottages nearer the back of the hotel, which I think were excellent value for money (at low season), but if you really want to splash out or are on a honeymoon for example, go for the lake view villas at the front. Our room/cottage was great, very clean, a nice size with all the usual amenities and extras, such as bathrobes and slippers etc. It also had a lovely little deck at the back which overlooked a small pond so you can enjoy a coffee at 6am and watch the sunrise on the deck. They hadn't overdone it, but there was a lot of local character specific to the surroundings, such as carved wood encasements for the light switches. The staff were lovely, which you would expect in a 4 star hotel, but I would add that they allowed me to add an extra guest to the booking at the last minute free of charge. The breakfast is really good, and the food in the restaurant was good too. In terms of location, it's about a 25 minute cycle to the nearby Red Mountain winery which I'd highly recommend. It is situated on the hillside overlooking the valley which, if possible, is even more stunning than the view over the lake. This is very much to my mind a tranquil couples get away, but not one for young kids."

"I stayed at Paradise Inle Resort in 2014 for 3 nights. I fell in love with this little hotel built in Traditional way on the water and booked again to stay longer this time. It never fail to make us fall in love with this hotel more. This fantastic is surrounded by beautiful breath taking scenery of the Inle lake and its mountains. The individual huts built for guests are very beautiful traditional design and it moves and sway gently when waves came to lake shore and move the water underneath. All rooms are equipped with clean bed, bath room and toilet, all necessary furnitures and own private balcony to enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. Staffs are extremely friendly and attentive. I have read some guests moan about minor insignificant details. In my opinion those who moan about this hotel are generally unhappy moanee who has no positive outlook and selfish self centre individuals who only know to indulge themselves without care for other especially the locals who are trying their best to show hospitality. For us, we will never go to any hotels in Inle except Paradise Resort which lives up to its name. "

"Our river view room was the best choice for staying at the inle lake. During the day we rent a boot to explore the lake and at the evening/night we enjoyed the view from our balcony. It's really better to pay a little bit more for a room which is faced to the lake when you decide to travel this long way to the Inle lake. The staff and service was super friendly and takes care about all your need. I agree the price of meals are the same like in Europe (pizza 12dollar and cocktail 5dollar, a little bit overpriced) but for this location, view and service you can't expect something else. We felt there very well. By the way the breakfast was amazing. I can highly recommend this resort and will stay again here when I will come again to Inle Lake"

"My husband and I booked the Novotel Inle Lake hotel while we were in Yangon. Somehow I had issue with the booking dates and had difficulties connecting to Agoda UK and U.S for assistance. The staff at Novotel were patient in handling my case and assisted to liaise with Agoda Singapore to make the necessary changes. We were very thankful that we managed to checked in. Novotel Inle is located at a great location in Inle with key facilities around the vicinity. Its near the longest wooden bridge in Inle, 10-15mins bicycle ride, 40mins away from the Red Mountain Winery by bicycles. Novotel provides the free bicycle. You can gain access to beautiful sunset at their sunset restaurant, pool, table pool, board games, gym etc. The place is very neat;y kept and peaceful for a beautiful and cosy stay. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit this place again."

"We had a great time at ANANTA Inle Lake. By far it was the best hotel we have stayed in so far. The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views over the lake, but what made it really special were the people that work there. The rooms and premises were kept sparkling clean; morning breakfast buffet spread had a lot of choice and was healthy and equally delicious; evening meals were well prepared with fresh ingredients and very tasty; and the service from all staff was at a very high standard: waiters were all friendly - special shout to Phyo- attentive and warm hearted. But the absolute shining star was the hotel manager, Hlaing, who went over and above his duties in helping us with travel arrangements and making our stay as pleasurable as possible. Kudos to the whole team at ANANTA Inle Lake for making this place very special!"
