Nice place to stay for a night after arriving by airplane”

The room was big and clean! We had free toiletries, A/c, TV, shoes, and towels. The person that did our check in was very friendly even if he didn't know how to speak to us since he didn't speak English. The check out went well, fast and they even offered to call a taxi for us (but we decided to walk instead) We were happy because this was a really cheap private room + private bathroom and it was really cheap to go from the airport to the Hostel/Motel using the meter taxis (100 VND). The only bad thing would be the location, if you intend to stay more than one night (to visit Da Nang) chose a more central place! Or just rent a bike and it's 10 minutes away!

New clean hotel on the beach road”

For a $4 upgrade I got a big room overlooking the ocean with large windows. It is what would expect only from a 4 star hotel. The beach is north of the popular China beach and is popular with Vietnamese people. At first light people are out exercising on the beach and fishermen are pulling in their nets with people waiting to buy their catch. By about 9am the beach is pretty much deserted till late afternoon when people return to exercise swim and enjoy the sunset. After there are many seafood restaurants nearby. The hosts are a charming couple with a young son. Their English is very limited so be prepared with Google Translate. When I was first walking to the hotel Google Maps was off by over a km. When I stopped at a restaurant for directions an older couple greeted me. After they discussed it the man took me on his motorbike to find it. We did after a few passes. When he dropped me off he waved no when I went to give him some money. This does not happen in tourist areas.
