Amazing. My 8yo was definitely happy with AAALLLL the kids activities that run 7 days a week. I was quite impressed with the cooking class that actually taught the kids to cook from almost scratch. (i.e. instead of just decorating a cupcake, she learned how to mix flour, egg, sugar etc.) Our apartment room was not available due to low occupancy, so we were given 2 junor suites. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Very much satisfactory. Breakfast was amazing. We literally tried everything and whether it's Opor Ayam or mini croissant, the food was tasty & made with care. Service was wonderful from start to finish. It's clear to see that all the staff had the proper training & problem solving skills, including the security staff down in the basement. Hats off for managing the parking lot so effectively. A note for future travelers, during weekends when it's late at night, the Cihampelas road sometimes turns into an illegal motoGP race track 😂 So there was 1 night where we got harshly woken up by the loud sounds of motorbikes racing. This is something the hotel can't control so I won't chalk it up to them, though. Overall, amazing experience and a big factor that made my family trip wonderful.
Dear Grand Tjokro, I would like to share what I felt during my one night stay there. 1. In room 806, the shower drainage was not functioning properly, causing water to overflow twice and reach the entrance of the room. 2. The available kettle for heating water seems to need replacement as it requires extra patience to press the on button just to make a cup of hot water. 3. The mini zoo, particularly for horse riding, would be better managed by senior staff, because on Sunday, July 27, 2025, my family and I, while waiting in line to ride the horse, witnessed an incident when a horse panicked and ran quickly into the stable, causing a child who was riding to be thrown against the stable wall and fall to the ground. It was indeed an accident that no one could predict, but we could definitely take precautions. 4. The mini zoo would benefit from better cleanliness as there was a lot of waste not cleaned in the guinea pig enclosure, for example. I did not report points 1 and 2 because I think for just one night’s stay, it is not worth troubling the staff, they are still tolerable. For points 3 and 4, I reported them immediately to the local staff, and they mentioned that the horse might have been tired and it would be better to take breaks in between rides. Thank you.

We stayed at Grand Tjokro Hotel Bandung to celebrate the New Year with family, and it was a memorable experience overall. Highlights of the Stay: Comfortable Family Room The family room was well-equipped with plenty of soft, fluffy pillows and a comfortable mattress. The small refrigerator, though compact, was efficient with three shelves and kept everything cold. Kids-Friendly Activities The hotel offered a wide range of activities for kids, including a mini zoo, swimming pool, cooking events, and a playground. During our stay, staff dressed up as popular characters like Doraemon and Spiderman, which delighted the children. Convenient Amenities The gym was well-equipped with a variety of machines. Breakfast was included for four people in the family room, eliminating the need for additional charges for children’s meals. The hotel’s affordable laundry service was a standout feature. For families traveling with young children or staying for an extended period, the kilo-based laundry service was incredibly convenient and unlike anything I’ve seen in other hotels. Room Features The room included a bathtub, ample storage space, and a well-functioning air conditioner. Prime Location and Service Centrally located in Bandung, the hotel provided easy access to city attractions and conveniences. Room cleaning was quick, and all staff members were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Areas for Improvement: Room and Bathroom Features The room lacked windows that could be opened. The work chair was worn out, the shower leaked, and there was no overhead shower. The toilet seat was unstable, and no soap or shampoo was provided near the bathtub. Dining Experience While the breakfast had a wide variety of options, the taste was fairly standard and could use some improvement. Other Concerns Limited parking space was a drawback. The room lacked a hair dryer, which would have been a useful addition. Final Thoughts: Despite some areas that need improvement, Grand Tjokro Hotel Bandung offers many advantages, particularly for families with children. The array of kid-friendly activities, affordable laundry service, and convenient location make it a great choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel and consider staying here again.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially loved the kid-friendly facilities like the mini zoo and warm swimming pool, which kept the children entertained. The location is also very convenient. Highly recommended!

“First time stayed”
This is my first time staying at this hotel because it was recommended on TikTok, which happens to be a kids-friendly hotel, and coincidentally, a friend of mine also stayed here before. The staff during check-in were quick, but some of the staff lacked smiles, especially *** and ***; I apologize for not knowing their names as they didn't wear name tags. However, all the male staff were friendly, especially mas ***, who was polite, kind, and very helpful when he assisted me with my bags. I had requested a room in the north tower because my friend's information said the main tower was noisy, and when I found out I got a room in ***, I asked, "Is this the new tower, ma'am?" because I was worried about noise with my baby, and previously, the hotel staff also knew I had requested a baby box. The female staff merely said, "We don’t have a new tower or an old tower; they are all the same, ma'am." All right, I accepted that, and the hotel was also quite busy. When I got to the room, it was clean, tidy, and the baby box was already there as requested. However, my worries became reality; I couldn't sleep from 11 PM to around 2 AM due to the noise from passing motorcycles. Thankfully, my kids were able to sleep soundly, but unfortunately, I couldn't. That was my disappointment. The next morning, we had breakfast and all the food tasted good and was varied. As for the bathroom, the drainage was clogged when I took a shower, so the water didn’t flow, leading to flooding in the bathroom. I had to use my used towel to wipe my feet to prevent my kids from slipping. If possible, the parking area should be enlarged because when the hotel is crowded, valet service is required, and waiting for it takes a long time. Thank you, Grand Tjokro; I will stay there again next time and recommend this hotel to my colleagues.
