my lan guest house is located on one of the best beaches of phu quoc island, bai sao beach. my lan lies almost at the center of a small inlet facing south; the green hills on the back makes it a natural shelter from the rest of the island. it's a great location if you're seeking some isolation from the other main beaches and resorts of phu quoc. there were few visitors during my stay, and most of them came from other resorts in the northern part of phu quoc.

Second leg of my journey here in Vietnam, in the South Island of Phu Quoc and what an excellent decision indeed. At first I was given a two bed room accommodation, but due to neighbouring construction, I requested to move to other rooms, so what the heck I tried the single bungalow and one deluxe room for the full six nights stay....both rooms are really spacious for one. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels are always fresh. The beds, I have no complained as I slept confortably...Unfortunately though there's no TV to follow euro football but luckily I have my iPad and wifi was excellent from room to the beach. The resort itself is private and peaceful. The locals are very friendly. The ocean water is clear and weather is almost perfect and I even learned how to find clams from a local old lady. If you love seafood, it seems almost private resort have their own grill. Lien Hiep Thanh Resort seems to capture other tourist to their restaurant...I tried one and boy as much as I love vege, I fell in love with a my freshly caught fish...nicely grilled savoured with enough lemon grass, onion and garlic. As for the staff, I think it is inherent...all of them are accommodating...yes there's language barrier but they always try. They are very friendly and nice. Everything shows in their smile. Another excellent decision and yes I'll definitely come back to this resort, Lien Hiep Thanh Resort, Phu Quoc Island.

I found it expensive for what we got, but Phu Quoc isn’t cheap. It wAs 30$ can. Per night. We had two beds, a fridge, a tv, a balcony, clean bathroom, etc. It was so clean. Staff were constantly cleaning the building. Location is the best part. Close to night market, beach access across the street, close to cheap restaurants, bars, etc. Kind of loud in the am we had room right on street but nothing to crazy. Staff spoke minimal English but always greeted with a wave and smile. It’s a great option in Phu Quoc

This place is so beautiful. Love the beautiful hut and they even provide hairdryer. The drinking water bottle is chargeable. Tried their breakfast (not included) and love it too. There's a small store outside that we stopped by every night to get our junk food. It is walking distance to some restaurants/ cafes too. You definitely need to get taxi to go city centre (about 15-20 mins ride), just ask the staff, they will call it for you.

We had a pleasant stay at Phu Quoc An Guesthouse. For three of us we booked the family room with three beds (two queens and one single/full) and it didn't disappoint in size: there was more than enough space for us to spread out. Would have been nice to have a triple room option with three singles (and a lower price to reflect the lower maximum occupancy), but this room was more than large enough for us and still fit within our budget. Room is simple but has everything we needed, including one thing that wasn't necessary but was mildly surprising (if you book the family room, check out the painting prominently featured on one of the walls!). Room has everything as advertised, though the sheets and covers look a bit dated and may be very old. One of us got a lot of mosquito bites during the night we stayed here, though I personally didn't get bit or see any of the little buggers. Room was up a narrow flight of stairs, which wasn't an issue for us but may be for some. We didn't try the food, but prices looked reasonable. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. WiFi has received mixed reviews, but worked well for me. Overall, an inexpensive option for lodging in the middle of the Long Beach area and within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and only twenty minutes (or a cheap taxi ride) to town and the night market there. If you're fussy about the appearance of your room you'll probably be able to find more updated linens/newer facilities elsewhere. Would recommend to budget travelers.

Ngoc Qui is close to town. It's off the main road, so quiet, but close to lots to do. Wifi good. No restaurant, but there are several within walking distance. Staff were very helpful, above and beyond the call of duty, twice, when I was in transit from Phu Quoc to Kep, Cambodia. A caution: if you make a booking, make sure you get some sort of ticket/record. I will happily stay at the Ngoc Qui again.

We booked for a double room, but were upgraded to a family room when arrived. So the space was plenty for us two girls. The room was not heavily decorated, but had everything you should ask for in a 3* hotel. Each room was like a separated bungalow, lining up among all exotic kinds of plant in the well-managed garden. Very few insects though - apart from mosquitoes, but if you close the window and door there would be no problem. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. The hotel is actually part of a complex which includes Phu Quoc Coi Nguon Museum. We learned a lot about the history and natural environment of Phu Quoc island here. From this hotel you can walk to Long Beach in just 5 minutes. Everything else can be reached by taxi. Highly recommended!

This is the best experience that we have. The little guest house owner is so nice. First, she is so friendly and helpful (You can ask her for anything). Second,she guided us to go around the island with calm, patient as our long time friend. Third, She also help and offer us the best tours for squid fishing and coral diving. Next, She also allowed us to have a small party on the rooftop of the guest house (she prepared foods and gave us some fruits). Besides, she is also a nurse: so you can ask her for immediate medicare. A lot of things that I can't remember. Everything is perfect. I recommend this for you.

Both me and my girlfriend were very thankful for the service we received while staying at the Guest House. Though a little far away from town and the beaches, we both had a wonderful time and thought the guest house was great value for money. We rented a scooter directly from the guesthouse for 6 days at a good rate and zoomed around town without much concern. They also provided us with fresh towels everyday and made our bed if we so chose. In addition we also bought the occasional room service (food tasted great, big portions and pretty cheap!). Their service was wonderful and always with a smile. We ended up forgetting our passports at their guesthouse and we only realized when we were already on the mainland. Thank-fully we were able to get in touch with the female receptionist and she made prompt arrangements to have our passports delivered to us. Phew! No fuss or drama from the hotel staff and they also took some responsibility for forgetting to return it to us at checkout (Vietnamese hotels take and hold onto your passports at check-in). All in all we had a good time and would stay here again. Price is right and the service is excellent.

We arrived to Phu Quoc planning to stay 1 night only, but after meeting Mr. Lam and his family, the island experience just kept getting better and we didn't leave until the very end of our vacation. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, clean and neat. We woke up rested and relaxed each morning, ate a delicious breakfast (fried eggs with vietnamese bread and fresh cucumbers, seasoned with Phu Quoc pepper) and took off to explore the island. Since the moment we arrived, Mr. Lam and his family took care of every detail, assuring we have all the amenities, equipment and information for an unforgettable vacation. We felt like part of the family throughout our stay! They took care of us and made our every single wish come true, from motorcycle rental, fishing tips, home BBQ party to airport transportation... We followed our host's recommendations and experienced the best that Phu Quoc has to offer! We usually don't want to visit the same place twice, but this time it's different: We definitely want to come back to Phu Quoc and stay at Mr Lam's homestay - hopefully soon! Highly recommended, look no further, book it (and make us jealous)!

We understand the hotel is quite cheap in Phu Quoc, however still it should not be so bad. There is no glass for the toilet window, so there are lots of mosquitos in the room. The toilet is very dirty. They almost never cleaned our room. The staffs there are all very young and not professional. We stayed in cheaper hotel in Siem Reap and it was much better than this one.

Ok - straight to the point: So far 50 reviews and 8,4 score - could you go wrong!? Yess - if you are looking for something chic and shiny,boutique and stylish, new and higher class - this property is not for you. Go for the French alternative that is just next door. Cay Co - or - The Palm Tree is all about the feeling and atmosphere of very clean and well maintained Phu Quoc family guest house. And you feel you are really a special guest of the house. The Family that run the Hotel is its best and most valuable feature. They are kind and attentive, they are friendly and hospitable in every sense. Their business has started with a small restaurant that was first in Phu Quoc to introduce the BBQ Sea Food on the Island. No wonder their cuisine and food in the Hotel Restaurant is so scrumptious. You can try typical Vietnamese meals that not only taste great, but are also cheap enough. Ok - yes - the breakfast options are really limited, but surprisingly one gets just enough to start the day full of energy. So in few words - if you are looking for a place just 5 min from the beach, quite and green area, clean, quite and spacious rooms, friendly and attentive owners, great food and all this at very reasonable rate - don't just look it - Book it!!

i had a fantastic stay at phu quoc peace resort, incredible hospitality, friendly staff, great food and just a very welcoming place. however if your looking for a place right on the beach with hot water and 5 star amenities then this isn't your place! but, if you're looking for a clean good room, friendly staff, good food and a great time in a family run place then look no further! yes, you can walk to long beach, night market, the city center or you can hire a bicycle/motorbike to get anywhere else faster. so, if you're not prepared to do so, i suggest you look for somewhere else to stay. a wonderful place ,just be realistic, it's family run and not a park hyatt hotel, however, the park hyatt won't give you "the peaceful feeling at home" like at peace resort, it's an unique place in phu quoc island! i extend my stay at phu quoc peace for the rest of my trip, i can't recommend it enough and i'll be back for sure.

we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again only for longer,we booked a week,as we were going onto nah trang for 2 weeks and then Saigon,but we realised a week wasn't long enough to get around this beautiful island,just hope the developers treat it kindly as the signs are its about to take off as a major resort,we were surprised how lovely this place turned out to be,and how nice this hotel was.the staff were really helpful and spoke or could understand English which makes a differance when trying to get around.

Sim Spa Hotel excist on his own for two months now. It is run by a 38 year old manager who will do anything he can to make you feel welcome and at home. The rooms of the hotel are a little bit outdated, but the manager has the intention to rebuild them. The breakfast is simple, but good and also the food in de restaurant is fresh. Good value for your money on this island. It is approximately 500 meters walking to the beach and 5 km to the famous night market.

Take the transport van from the port. It's only $3. Every room is exactly the same as pictures. Very reasonable price and I'm hoping it'll stay that way. Very safe area. A few km out of town but who cares there are plenty of better price street food around and since you'll need a scooter to travel to the more secluded beaches up north of the island anyway. Owner will help you boil the raw seafood you've purchased but we helped with clean up since they didn't charge any fee. Even the drinks they have there are reasonable. 10,000vnd for a can of beer. Way better than anywhere else I've had. They close the gate at 11pm so just make some noise at the gate if you plan to come back after 11. But even the night market starting to close at 11pm. I love the place. Nothing to complaint about except it's ashame I didn't plan for a longer trip. I will come back to this friendly guest house.

Great hotel and I have come back for the 2nd part of my trip. It is in the best location, right at the night market and close to everything you need. Dont do what I see other tired hot tourists doing and walking a distance in the heat etc back to their resorts and hotels or giving up and getting taxis. Not here, you are right where the action is and if you are an early riser, within walking distance over the bridge to the morning markets. As far as the beach goes in front of the hotel (or any resort etc in Long Beach or Duong Dong etc) not for me - too much rubbish but plently of Vietnamese do swim there, so your choice. The staff speak very poor English but it is only a problem if you find it a problem. Breakfast is not available but can be got from a nice cafe, 2 doors down, Safari, which do a breakfast deal. Tours easily organised outside hotel. I really think this hotel is in the best spot in town where everything is at your fingertips. Im so glad I didnt book further away where they talk about easy walk to Duong Dong, it would be a real pain! I had a great room overlooking the water and loved it.

This is one of the best priced places for a bungalow close to the beach. Not right on the beach, but only 50 m from it. You can go down to a beach bar (Rory's is 50 m) and if you patronize them use beach loungers there. Otherwise the beach is public and no one can stop you from sitting on the beach itself within 50 m of the sea. This location is one of the best along the beach. You are 200 m off the main road with 5 or 6 restaurants, a number of bars, and just about anything you want situated in the small lanes and paths in this area. It is really quite unique, Most other roads into the beach just lead to specific resorts and beach access can be a problem. In this enclave you have two access points. The family that runs the Kim Lien are great. I was there during Tet and twice during the week they gave all the guests a nice Tet feast. The bungalows are in a shaded enclave so although I paid for air conditioning I only used it a bit during the day and relied on the fan at night. If you stay on the beach you will pay at least the price of Kim Lien's A/C room for a non A/C room in the most modest places.

The finding for our room at this guest house was difficult because it is off main street at least 200 meters and it is situated in an alley and it has no address number. We booked a room with fan only for our first stay in Phu Quoc's islands. The room is very hot everyday, the fan couldn't cool off the room to sleep, especially at day time. The room has some kitchenette furnishings such as: a gas stove hooked with a gas container stayed just too near to our bed. Our room was not cleaned everyday as it was left in the dirty situation until the last day before we check out. We had a bad 7-day stay experience at this guest house, that is why we rated this guest house with low scores.

I did spent one month in Vietnam and this place was clearly the worst one. You are paying for a very basic room, without real window and without hot water for your shower... it is so dark that even during the day you need to put the light. I have been attacked by ants during the night... after a lot of discussions they finally gave me another one.. for them i was somehow responsible for the ants... the people look nice but if you have an issue with them as i had... they do not really care about you... they just care about your money... so really do not go there... there are so many better place for a better price.
