"This stately hotel is in the very midst of the museums and famous piazzas of the historic center of Firenze, literally 2 blocks from Il Duomo, and yet it is a serene and relaxing sanctuary from the crowds and noise. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and blessedly quiet. The view from my window was surpassed only by the view from the hotel's rooftop terrace. I arrived completely exhausted from a three week trek through 6 cities in northern Italy before beginning several months of study at an Italian language school. The staff, from bottom to top without exception, were wonderful and could not have been more helpful, gracious and welcoming. I recommend this hotel enthusiastically!"

"This hotel seems like an excellent option for groups of young travelers - an upscale (and much cleaner) youth hostel. I wouldn't stay here with a family or if we (a couple) were staying for longer than a night. Pro's: clean, has air con, and very helpful and accommodating staff. On the downside: the location in Firenze is not near the center city and the breakfast was disappointing (better to not pay for this additional item and head into a local cafe for delicious local yogurt or pastries and cappuccino). All in all fine. "
