Worth the penny”
We arrived at around 1030 in the morning and although our check-in will still be at 2 pm, Mr. Nice Guy on the front desk was very accommodating to the extent that he asked us to have free breakfast. We were really thankful for that as it allowed us to save our money intended for breakfast. Also, my lady companion has a heavy bag and the staff was kind enough to assist her in going to our room. One comment would be that there is no elevator on the hotel but I think the lack thereof is compensated on the fact that the hotel is clean , the staff was helpful and it is very affordable. We had a pleasant stay on this hotel and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

No Elevator 😔”
Our room is located at 7th floor, so tiring to get up and down, they should have come up even with a little service elevator to help out guests, esp the room is for family, what if we have an elderly man otr woman in the group? 😔 but overall the stay was good, room is soooooo clean, tv with cable is ❤️ and the internet is way too fascinating! Till next time Yangon! 🥰

Very small/dark room”
Great location downtown in Chinatown. Unfortunately we booked a room for three people and were given an exceptionally small room with no window that had no space for a third bed? Luckily the staff moved us to another hotel. Make sure to confirm that you are getting what you booked.

Rooms not to clean”
Average hotel. Rooms could be more clean. Beds are very clean, so it is most important. But rooms has lots of dust and more under beds and everywhere. Bathrooms is OK, but could be cleaner, corner, and pipes :(:(

Wanted to be more positive but overall was disappointed ”
The bedrooms are good clean and comfortable, as was the ensuite bathroom we booked the family suite with balcony. We requested not higher than the 5th floor, we were placed on the 5th floor, we had to get them to clean the floor as the floor was very dirty with food on the floor. The lounge area had a sofa coffee table a TV bracket on the wall no TV or ariel socket. The phone was on a cardboard box. The kitchen table was stacked high with drinking water bottles. There was a microwave and hotplate each time we went to reception to request pans cutlery plates, even though we showed pictures, we got something but not what we requested. In reality only floor 3 and 7 are family suits. I suspect the 2 bedrooms on floor 5 are let and the kitchen is used as additional storage. Floor 3 family suite appears to be let on a long term basis so really is never available.

Was relocated to sister company.”
I booked this hotel for cleanliness, which I'm Very picky about, and cocking possibility, (although rooms with shared bathroom seemed to have some ants). I was instead relocated to their more run down sister company which may have had better service, which I actually don't care so much for.

Acceptable”
The inside rooms have a terrible smell of mould and mildew. We moved rooms and the replacement room has the same issue. Also, there is no real "kitchenette" here so beware.

Bad Reviews ”
No lift and they arrange at 8 floor. We were tired of climbing to 8 floor for 5 days. Shower was just dripping. I had never seen that kind of hotel.

Excellent staff and value for money”
Having heard that accommodation in Myanmar would be more expensive than the rest of South East Asia, my girlfriend and I chose Hotel Bond based on the price and did not expect much for our money. How wrong we were! We arrived from the airport in the afternoon and were immediately greeted with a welcome drink and a wet towel. The staff spoke English well and we were given a free map of Yangon. Our room was not ready when we arrived but we were allowed to sit in another area. The hotel staff also informed us as soon as they received a call from the airline about our lost luggage. The hotel is located to the West of downtown Yangon, within easy walking distance of Chinatown and 19th street which is a popular place to sample Yangon street food. The Sule Pagoda is within walking distance for those who want to brave the heat. The one downside of the hotel is the lack of a lift or elevator to take you up to your room. However, we had a friendly porter carry our bags up for us and even beat us up there waiting for us to climb the six sets of stairs. The staff also helped us arrange taxis and our onward bus tickets. Finally, the breakfast spread was good, with the fried noodles satisfying my hunger. However, like most places in Myanmar, the food is mostly pre-cooked and left out to go cold. Overall, this hotel was amazing value for money thanks to the helpful and friendly staff. The room is a good size and clean and the shared bathroom was not a problem.

Great room at a great price!”
As a budget to mid-range solo traveler, I wasn't that excited about my options in Yangon, as most properties are way overpriced for the quality. At the time I booked Hotel Bond, it barely had any online reviews, so I didn't know what to expect. Having stayed for three nights in late January, I can positively report what a steal it is right now to stay there! The facilities are modern and comfortable. The wifi is the strongest I experienced by far in Myanmar and was always strong in my room. I booked a room with an ensuite bathroom, and the shower was hot with great pressure. The breakfast buffet was great (have the mohinga!). The location is fantastic as well, as it is just a 10-minute walk away from Chinatown and 19th street. As others have mentioned online, there is no elevator, so it might be tough for some travelers walking up the steep stairs (I was on the 6th floor). Overall, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, so book it while you can at its current price.
