Clean, modern rooms, good location”

Great stay at Hotel de France Invalides. Staff were friendly, hotel was spotlessly clean and appeared newly renovated. Room had modern decor, free wifi, and we had a view of the Eiffel Tower- lovely! Buffet breakfast had a good range of items and was tasty. The great location was an added bonus- across the road from Musee de l'Armee & Napoleon's tomb, 10 min walk from Eiffel Tower. Will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit!

An unassuming gem in a great neighborhood!”

This hotel is located in a wonderful neighborhood in a part of Paris that felt so relaxed compared to the bustle of Boulevard St-Germaine. Great bars and restaurants, Les Invalides across the street, and an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Bernard! It’s super quaint - we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Convenient location”

We spent 3 nights in a tiny room in this hotel (although most rooms in 2 and 3-star hotels in Paris are on the rather small side). To our delight, we had a small balcony with a side view of the beautiful dome of Les Invalides. Although the hotel does not appear to be very modern, it thankfully has an elevator and the rooms have flat-screen tvs. Whenever you leave the hotel, the key must be surrendered at the reception. Location-wise, the nearest metro (Ecole Militaire) is only a few minutes away by foot and many good cafés and bistros dot the area. We appreciated the free wifi, the kind staff and the breakfast consisting of toast, different spreads, yoghurt, fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, and eggs, but the eggs had to be prepared yourself, either boiled or fried in the pan provided.

Great location and friendly service”

A satisfactory stay. I had already expected the room to be small so it was not much of a surprise. But considering we came in from a week stay in Vienna with big luggage each,it did not feel so cramped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was good. Free wifi in the room. The elevator is a bit small but could fit at least three people and two big luggage. The hotel is near Eiffel Tower, and just a few minutes walk from the metro which is very convenient. In fact i think it is not that far from de Champs-elysees (the designer strip), but we did not try to walk there. Just a note for those who like to make your own coffee/hot drinks in the room, there is no electric kettle in the room, and i did not ask if they provide upon request. But there is mineral water etc. The hotel also provides shuttle service to the airport at a very reasonable rate. All in all, i would recommend it for those looking for a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price in Paris.

Great hotel with great service”

It's a very good experience. It's easy to go Invalides and Eiffel by walk. Above of all, staff give us their warming, helpful thing. Before 1 day, we ask a taxi to airport. The receptionist call for us a shuttle bus service to the airport which is grate rate 18e per person, it is cheaper than you use metro. It's so great with this help. Thanks hotel so much for all your great service.

Great location and value”

we knew hotels would be very expensive in paris, so we ended up booking this 3 star hotel based on the price and reviews on agoda. we were not disappointed. the location is fantastic. the eiffel tower is less than a 15 minute walk, yet the hotel is far away enough to be in a quiet area. the metro station is close by (ecole militaire) and there is a supermarket right outside the station. we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet. we didn't expect much but there was a variety of foods including pastries, cheeses, eggs, etc. the building is a bit older but they are currently going through renovations. ask for a room in the front of the hotel as opposed to the back. the back elevator is tiny and uncomfortable. the front elevator has a normal sized elevator.

Enjoyable place to stay”

My 23 year old daughter and I stayed at Hotel De France and really enjoyed it. The people at the front desk were very helpful with info on seeing the Eiffel Tower. The location was great for us to walk to the Eiffel Tower and take a boat on the Seine to other attractions. The room was rather small, but comfortable. They have an excellent breakfast that is included. They had hard-boiled eggs, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruit, croissants, etc. Hotel De France was a very good choice for us. I would stay there again.

Reasonable price, small rooms, good location”

Rooms at the Agoda budget price range are small. This we know from other reviews. If you can deal with that, you are then left with a greatly located quiet hotel that has a very friendly staff willing to help with restaurant recommendations / reservations on those that I chose from previous Paris travels. Central location cannot be beat. Great bistros as well as Italian and Morrocan located nearby. Nearby Rue Clair (sp?) cannot be missed for a nice gastro experience.

Lovely hotel, great location, excellent staff!”

Excellent stay, very helpful and friendly staff, on arrival offered a slightly higher standard room with a view of the Invalides for only 25 euro's extra per night which we accepted. Great location for Eiffel tower and other land marks. Would recommend and stay there again.

great location- great stuff”

we have been in Paris 20 years ago and this time -it was wonderful. the hotel is a family hotel. got 2 connected rooms(with children's). the stuff are very kind and helpful. always trying to guide and help. very good breakfast with all u can expect. the hotel is 5 min walk from the millatere metro station(near the station there is a good supermarket open until late..) and 15 min of walk from eifel tower. its 2 min of walk from the DAM and military museum. i will came back again for sure!

nice choice for Paris”

The hotel and my room is quite small, though I am not sure about the average size of hotels in Paris. The hotel is close to Metro-ecole de militaire, and the room is bery clean. In particular, morning breakfast is good.

Great hotel and service”

I love this hotel and the staff (super helpful). I do not speak French. So, I was a bit nervous about this trip to Paris. All the staff on duty were super friendly and helpful. They even open the breakfast room an hour earlier then usual to fit my schedule. Breakfast were great and plentiful. The rooms a very small, but well designed and very clean.

the subway is not that close to a metro station (10-minute walk). the hotel is very close to the invalides. there is a good (but expensive) restaurant by the entrance of the hotel. the room is small, the toilet is also very small. there is a fan in the room. the room has a lcd tv. no lift in the hotel. the breakfast is very good!

Lovely little hotel close to Eiffel tower”

Wonderful little hotel. At first we thought the rooms were too small but since traveling further around Europe we've realized that it was a typical size for most European hotels. Room was clean and serviced each day. Lift is small so you may have to travel up individually if you have big bags. Friendly staff English speaking helps too 5 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower - awesome location!

Good : Fairly good location near Invalides. Only 5 min to subway, Carrefour. Super-friendly staffs. Bad : Room was small. Facility was quite old. I didn't like the breakfast, they should have provided vegetables...! Slow wifi.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff”

The hotel itself is very comfortable. It is located at many "must-go" sightseeing spots. It is just opposite the Army Musuem and a 15-minute walk to Effiel Tower. Despite its close distance to many tourists' sites, it is a very quiet place to stay in. The breakfast is good and the staff is nice. I will definitely stay there again if I visit Paris.

Had a lovely stay in my cozy room”

The room is small. Welcome to Paris. As a solo female travler, I had a lovely stay here. Yummy breakfast in the morning included with the cost, friendly staff (especially the guy who works through the night!), and the location is perfect. Very easy to access the airport and the metro is a short lovely walk. Right across the street is the beautiful gold domed building where Napoleons tomb is as well as a fascinating war museum. Worth a trip. Definitely recommend this cute little hotel to single travelers or couples.

Location was good, but rooms were tiny!”

First impression staff was nice and spoke english well. Walked into room...it was tiny! Other thing internet connection on the top floor was horrid so we changed to the second floor and it was noticeably better. No english channels on tv so unless you speak french...tv in room doesn't make a difference. It was my first time in France so I am not sure if all the rooms downtown are so small but this seemed abnormally small and they said they had other rooms which were smaller...( not sure how that was possible). Overall it was OK probably wouldn't stay here again because I felt very crowded with the minimal space. Besides that breakfast was good and about 4 blocks from eiffel tower

Small, quiet location and friendly staff”

The hotel was cheap and had a really friendly staff. The breakfast was also great. But, the location isn´t really great unless for visiting the Eiffell Tower. You are a taxi trip or a tube ride away from everything. The rooms are small, carpeted floors, but tiled bathrooms (bathrooms are good), but it hasn´t been refurbished for quite some time, and it doesn´t feel fresh. Probably not gonna book the hotel again, but for budget travelers who just want a cheep and clean room, this is probably great.

my family enjoyed staying at hotel de france. the location was great, staff- very friendly, breakfast-good. the room size was acceptable. we definitely would stay again there!
