Thanks to Agoda and Grand Hotel, We had an alternative stay at Grand Hotel instead of Drottning Kirstina Stureplan. So the review is about Grand Hotel Stockholm. Everything was perfect; location, cleanliness, staff, breakfast and spa/sauna/pool. We will come back to Grand hotel someday if we have chance to visit Stockholm again.

Sweet Stockholm Stay”
Within a day, we became acquainted with key areas of Stockholm and realised how well positioned Hotel Sturplan is in the city. Positioned a block from a subway station and amidst shopping areas, lovely neighbourhoods, sidewalk cafes, and popular waterfront attractions, it's a surprisingly quiet and really comfortable stay. Staff were without exception very helpful, and the charming old features of the building contributed to the appeal of this accommodation. The breakfast is absolutely perfect -with smiley faces in our lattes, quality produce, hot eggs and meat, cold meats and cheeses, herring, breads, yogurts, and more. Our room was classically Scandinavian -light and airy with tall ceilings and large windows. The windows did not open, but the in-room climate control (AC) settings worked well on the warmer days of our stay. The room, bath, and common areas were clean and well-maintained. I would stay at Hotel Stureplan again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Stockholm”
Very nice hotel, clean and simple. The way I like it. The room is so nicely done, it just makes you feel so homely. Good breakfast, and very good service. For the location and standard of the hotel, I would say that the price is definitely worth it. Will be coming back again, if not, will be recommending my family and friends if they even decided to visit Stockholm.

I am no longer living in Stockholm but can hightly recommed this hotel. It has old time charm but still fresh. For shoppers everything is at your doorstep. The nighlife is there too for those who likes. Public transport basically outside your door. Fantastic restaurants and I could go on and on.

The hotel is located very close to shops and restaurants. The breakfast is amazing! I'm staying again when I return to Stockholm. Some of the rooms are not air conditioned, so ask when booking.

The hotel is located in an excellent location near the underground and the bus stop. It is also within walking distance to the major attractions.The room we got was cozy, silently and comfortable. Room was very nice, the hotel was an old building but modernised. Very intriguing layout. Location was really convenient but entrance could be more prominent. Staff were great and very friendly and extremely helpful in correcting our booking error.

Quiet and comfortable”
This hotel is a conversion of three old residences in a fashionable suburban street, so is a strange mix of styles and spaces internally. Rooms vary a great deal in size and outlook and the hotel lacks really spacious common areas. But the staff are helpful and friendly, and the location central with easy access to public transport. There is a reasonable breakfast and good room service, but no formal dining room.

Very friendly and courteous staff, clean room, comfortable beds, free wifi, good breakfast with several choices, except for croissants and muffins which were rather dry. Location is very good for sightseeing and shopping on foot. Metro station close to the hotel.

Toilet paper and A/C”
Decent hotel, but for a 4 star you’d think they would include a better than industrial public bathroom toilet paper. Also, technically a/c was on and working, but it just felt like it was just a fan blowing some air around. It wasn’t too hot outside though, so it was ok. Otherwise the room and bathroom were great. Large room and a huge shower. Breakfast was great. Good coffee. No need to go to any coffee shops.

The look and feel for the hotel we in line with our expectations for this city. The added bonus was the location and proximity to public transport. Breakfast was good albeit the layout of the seats and tables could improve.

Nice and Elegant Hotel”
If you get a bit tired of the new design hotels, in which very often the appareance counts more than the quality of finishing, this hotel will please you. Back to a kind of "old-fashioned" but elegant style. Not glancy, but high quality. The only negative aspect is a lack of real relaxing lounge-type area, where you can have a drink or work in WiFi at night, with some music.

Extremely small room”
Reservation made 4 months in advance with the notice that we will be there few hours early. Instead of waiting one more hour for the regular check in time, we took another room "in the same price range, slightly smaller". That meant about 40-50 cm space on 3 sides of the bed. We did lots of exercises jumping over our 4 bags. Ready to say the breakfast was one of the best, but last day wife told me to avoid the bad smelling salami...

An Absolutely Great Location to be in”
This hotel is 13 minutes away from the Kungliga Operan which was absolutely fabulous to know. I have an amazing view from my window and I just had a great time overall. Even more so, it has this old school feel, which makes me feel like I have stepped back in time to the early 20th century. Definitely recommended.

Great Location!”
breakfast was lovely, with different kinds of bread and eggs, and the staple local swedish meatballs. rooms were decent, but the top floor has low sloping ceilings which can be painful if you are not careful. location is excellent, 5 mins walk to the metro station, which is quite important given that it was -14 deg c when i was there. wifi is supposed to be available, but there was no reception in the room. this was however, addressed by the hotel using a lan cable.

Grand dame of Seeden”
Location was close to most major attractions like the Vasa Museum, Skansen, Old Town etc. The hotel was clean with lots of amenities. Lots of breakfast selections. We had restful nights. We will stay here again.
