Comfortable Stay in Yangon”
I stayed at the Hotel Esta for 3 nights. I found that the hotel staff were courteous and friendly, and while English was not their native language, they spoke sufficient English for communication to be comfortable. It was located conveniently close to Chinatown and the Bogyoke Aung San Market, which made for quick trips to these areas possible (via Taxi, although walking is definitely possible). In addition, as the hotel was located near the University of Medicine and New Yangon General Hospital, we could easily give directions to Taxi drivers who had lost their way, even if they had a limited command of English. The room was not large, but cosy, and the toilet was relatively clean. Breakfast was great! - consisting of a simple buffet spread of 5 dishes and a choice of main courses (e.g. eggs, mohinga - a local specialty, fried rice). On the flipside, there were a number of houseflies in the small café/restaurant on the ground floor, although I did observe the waiters diligently swatting flies while there were no customers. Also, it seemed that the air vent in the toilet carried quite a large amount of cigarette smoke, making the toilet smell like a smoking room. I observed that the security staff stationed outside the hotel were smoking frequently, and while I have no qualms with that, I would appreciate it if they did so away from the air vent leading to our toilets. Overall, though, I had an excellent experience, and I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Yangon for a few days.

Clean Modern with friendly staff”
The Esta is a very modern hotel. That is still unusual in Yangon. Price was around $80/ night including breakfast. The rooms well designed but were small and the facilities modern with large screen TV. The hotel itself is small but is located on a main road and was easy to find. Plenty of eating spots nearby. The only negative in the room was the shower pressure was weak. Wifi was good in all locations. The dining room was small, but they provided good service and reasonable variety. Stayed October 2014, travelled alone.

Clean room, convenience to go around the city.”
Most of taxi drivers didn't know where the hotel was because it was quite new, so we had to show them the hotel's map. For me, I thought the hotel's location was really good.We could walk to the mall that located just a few minutes walk form the hotel. On our last day in Yangon,we left our bags at the hotel (for free) and then killed our time by seeing movie (Spider man II + 3D) at the mall. Movie ticket in Myanmar was so cheap (about 1-2 usd). Form the hotel we also could walk to Sule Pagoda and Scott market. It was so easy to access the landmark of Yangon if you stayed here. And last but not least, the staffs were very nice and polite. That made my day in Yangon was so much impressive.

Friendly Staffs and Value for Money ”
We stayed in hotel Esta 2 nights. Our superior double bed room is spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly. Rate is reasonable and value for money. Location is at downtown. Banks and shopping mall are nearby.

Great little hotel”
A nice neat and tidy hotel that is within walking distance of some great places to eat. It's a little on the far side of downtown compared to the main tourist attractions (markets etc) but this is reflected in the price as the room rates are very reasonable. The staff are exceptionally helpful and more than happy to arrange taxis for you and confirm the price too so that takes the hassle out of getting around town. All in all, a great place to stay that won't break the bank.

New Hotel with good service”
Check-in is smooth. Room is in standard size. All non smoking room but smell cigarette in the room. Staff uses the air freshener but still smell it. Breakfast is great with many choices. The best of the hotel is the value comparing with high price hotels in Yangon.

First time in Rangoon”
Hotel Esta is very clean, comfortable, and quiet with a good restaurant open all day and night and good breakfast included. Close to Shwedagon, Chinatown and good hotel staff will tell taxi driver where you want to go. There is an ATM across the street. Before you arrive, print map of hotel because many taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is.

Nice place, good facilities”
Hotel Esta has good facilities and the free wifi is quite strong, so no problems checking emails. It's a little away from downtown Rangon, but only a 2000/3000 kyat taxi ride. The one problem in my room was that the bed was directly under the airconditioner. Otherwise, it was quiet, despite being on a main road.

Excellent Esta”
Hotel Esta must be commended for a team of extremely polite and helpful staff whether at the front office, concierge, maintenance, security or servers at the cafe. The breakfast at the cafe is something I really look forward to. Freshly brewed hot coffee, an essential buffet spread of toasts, fruits and vegetables with a choice of main course cooked to order. The cafe has a very pleasant, modern and clean look too. I will return to this hotel.

Pleasant stay”
We got room no. 205 and 206 (superior twin bed). The rooms are standard size and comfortable. While we found the rooms are spotlessly clean but not the towel :( In-room wifi signal is strong which is quite rare for in Myanmar. Room no. 206 is just above hotel dining room so we woke up feeling hungry with the faint smell of food. I liked the way they served breakfast. You can chose the breakfast of your choice from their menu. Your breakfast will be freshly made just for you while you can help yourself with the bread and dessert at a small buffet bar. Overall we had a pleasant stay at Hotel Esta.

Great Service and Accessibility”
Decent Stay. Quite accessible, 5 mins cab to downtown and sule Temple area/ Train. a bit off town for walking but ok for cabbing. Went in July - very rainy season in yangon. Might flood. Front desk do not change currency. USD has to be clean and straight for them to accept.

Good”
Located in the downtown area provides you not an expensive option for staying in Yangon. Rooms looked a bit tired with dirty windows. Breakfast was basic. Hotel Esta is ok place for a night or two.

A homey place”
Good value for money for a hotel in Yangon, relatively easy to find, a bit away from the main sites and restaurants, elevator keep you waiting long, rooms are rather small,

Not quite as good as the photos...”
Central location and friendly staff. I was hoping for something a bit nicer based on the price and photos. You do have to manage your expectations for Yangon. The room was somewhat barren with white walls and fluorescent lights, almost like trying to sleep in a classroom.

Average stay”
Overall, like the hotel, but the lift was hot and stuffy and so were the individual room levels. In the room, it takes a while before the air con becomes operational which can be a frustrating thing when in Yangon.

clean and comfortable”
For our very quick stop over in Yangon, Hotel Esta was just fine. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. While they recommended we take a taxi to the Schwedagon, we walked. I would definitely take their recommendation and get a taxi if you stay there - it's quite a ways to the pagoda.

Yangon hotel”
Ok. Not as modern and well maintained as shown on the website. Room was a bit worn and lacked character, but staff was friendly and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. Price may have been in line with Yangon for a 3 star hotel, but we stayed at much nicer places for less outside Yangon. Would stay elsewhere if I returned.

Stay was spoilt by inconsiderate guests ”
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The owners of the hotel are hands-on and gave us many tips. There are a few set menu options for breakfast and the Asian options are far tastier - do try it, especially the fried rice. It's relatively central with a bus stop about 50m away if you want to mingle with the locals. Overall, the stay was ok. The rooms are relatively clean. It could have been better if not for the fact that some highly inconsiderate guest before us smoked in the room, although there was a "No Smoking" sign in the room. It is not the hotel's fault that the room smelt of cigarette smoke and they were apologetic about it. As the hotel is fully booked, they were unable to change room for us. The smell was so bad my aunt and uncle in the next room could smell it and I choked in the middle of the night and was up a few times to drink water. The staff just simply couldn't get rid of the smell. We requested for the windows to be opened during the day when we were away but I am not sure if that was done because the smell was still as strong throughout the 3 days we were there. We asked to open the windows at night to ventilate the room but the staff declined the request because it is the hotel's policy to keep them locked. I thought they were inflexible that way as the smell was pretty unbearable, to the point of choking and yet they are unable to understand that. Very friendly staff, but still way to go in terms of managing special requests. Anyway, the owner told us that they are considering to have smoking rooms - so perhaps you might want to check that when checking in.

Pretty Good for Myanmar”
This hotel is not too far from the city centre - about a 20 minute walk. It is very near a modern mall (just behind the hotel) so there are a quite a number of good food options available near the hotel and the restaurant is actually not too bad either. The breakfast is cooked for you - rather than sitting in a food warmer for hours so at least it is fresh. The bathroom is a little tricky with the asian wet bathroom - which means that if you shower at night you are walking though water to get to the toilet - would be very easy to fix - but they simply don't see that as important! The staff are so eager to please and cant do enough for you really - always with a smile.. whilst the price is quite high it is very reasonable considering the other options around the city. (hotels are simply expensive in Myanmar for westerners) I would be happy to stay here again..
