Best place I've stayed in”

Love everything about Hyggelig! It's a very short walking distance from Haeundae and has great facilities. Our room was always clean and the staff are very helpful, especially when we arrived late in the evening for check-in and when we needed help with directions. The lounge is also something you need to check out. Will stay here again if I come back to Busan.

No frills hostel”

Loved my stay at Hyggelig. Comfy beds, spacious dorm room, clean toilet and shower. Loved that they have free drinking water in the breakfast area and that they have a powder room on a different floor to do your blow dry business so you don't get disturbed when youre asleep or trying to sleep. Location is about a 5min walk to the nearest bus stop though you have to note that the road includes a downhill / uphill path which could be a hassle if you have big luggages and if you have mobility issues. Generally loved this hotel, felt secured in the property.

I stayed in a four person room and it was very roomy and each person would have their own locker to store their belongings (pretty big locker, it was able to fit my carry on luggage and there were hangers to hang my jackets). Great rooftop view, super close to the beach and very clean! Bed was comfy! Not sure what the other rooms are like but there was one shower connected to the room, I was lucky there was only me and another traveller, so showering times wasn't a huge issue. Really amazing place for the price. Whenever I'm back in Busan, I'd stay here again!

Hyggelig Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Excellent service, clean facilities, spotless restrooms and most especially super helpful and friendly staff especially KIM and the two male staff. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and smiling. Though it has no WiFi for guests. For me, it doesn’t matter as long as the place is relaxing and I love the water pressure it’s so relaxing! Exceptional”

20-30min walk from the nearest metro stn. A bus stop is just a few minutes away from the hostel, which is a good news. If you’re getting here from Busan train stn, it’ll take approx an hour by bus. If you are arriving later than 10pm, staff will send you the access code for the lobby where you can collect your room keycard from. So I wouldn’t worry too much even if I’d arrive outside the staffed hrs. Room is clean and quite spacious. It has internal shower & toilet so you’ll share these with only the ones you are staying with. There was a couple of hair on my bed when I arrived, presumably from the cleaner. Bed has 1xusb port ,1xpower port and a reading light for your private use. Also you get 2 towels every day. Staff members are nice and friendly. I spoke with them in Korean, but I think they can speak English as well (not confirmed). There’s a dispenser in the kitchen available 24hrs with your room keycard, so you can fill up your bottles there if needed. They offered complementary brekkie but I didn’t try them (toast, and maybe egg I guess?) I’d rather go out and try local cuisine instead. I think you can grab a coffee there. Kitchen provides cooking utensils. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel for your money! Everything new, breakfast included, friendly staff, always clean, location 100m from haeundae beach. Many very nice seafood restaurants all around as well. Great stay for visiting haeundae.

I felt like I was in a 4 stars hotel. very comfortable and clean, clean and spacious bathroom inside the room. I stayed in a 4 beds room and it was super clean and big. Staff really great, small breakfast but with ocean view. It has a beautiful terrace with very good view of Busan ocean. definitely worthy !

Big room and private facility.”

This hostel located on the mountain. You can see the Sea and close to the beach. The female dorm is big and comfortable. It has toilet and shower room inside the dorm. One thing that I wanna give suggestion is the hotel should put more rack in the bathroom. They have a free breakfast (only bread and cereal). It's a good hostel in Busan.

A surprised stay!?”

Expected a hostel like accommodations but was surprised that it was more of a luxurious high-end hotel! Upon check-in already was given a great site to see in the lobby area, where you can see the nearby ocean by the window side! Booked for one night in a all male dormitory. There were four beds and bunk style. Very elegantly presented and very clean! Shower and toilet was shared in the same room. Again I was surprised how nice this hotel was! Especially when I spent $10 for a dormitory! You also have access to the beautiful rooftop, free laundry (500 won for detergent), and free breakfast in the morning (Toast, rolls, cereal, OJ, Coffee, Apple Juice, Milk). Only con is that it probably isn't the best place to meet other travelers but rather a nice resort to yourself kind-of-place! Overall amazing value for what I got at the time. It was a shame I couldn't book for one night.

Wonderful Stay”

This was our best hostel experience in Busan. Very clean and minimalistic. The man at the front desk was super friendly and went out of his way to help us when we had problems booking a flight. The location is perfect if you want to have access to everything but be removed from the noise, it felt very private. There is a wonderful rooftop view of the sea. I can highly recommend this place.

Super clean repeat guest though water bit rusty”

Repeat guest here. Clean, tidy, their top accords. You get some privacy in the dorm, except occasionally you have some other guests that may affect your sleep, example loud chatting drunk trio of friends. They could have booked a hotel room. The shower room is very clean, fitted with shampoo, conditioner, the water was hot, but somehow we feel there's some rusty smell. In the top floor, the open area, there are lots of water pipes that look a tad rusty. Wonder if it is related? WiFi signal is on repeaters so some section of the lounge has no Internet even though there is signal, as well as some dorm. Internet speed is capped. Probably my fifth or sixth stay.

as a group of 4-5, we visit the hotel twice, we were really satisfied both chances. if there were another chance, we'd like to choose it. it's more than worthy of the price

You lookout from the clean, well-stocked kitchen or down from the rooftop that is set up well for relaxation with tables, a br on request (at least there's facilities for it, I didn't request it), and a sound system, to a small marina filled with fishing boats and the open sea that lies beyond it, and you might forget you are at the east end of the most popular tourist spot in Korea! Everywhere I looked showed evidence of attention to detail and care in maintenance.

Room is really spacious and clean. Hotel is a bit far from the train station with some uphill walks so it may be inconvenient if you are travelling with big luggages. Great view from the rooftop and walking distance to Haeundae beach

Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed”

Actually it's a surprising stay experience for me. Booked a shared room with others, I thought the bathroom might be in the hallway or somewhere outside the room. But in fact the bathroom is just in the room which means you only need to share with your roommates, quite convenient and private enough for a hostel. Also the design style is a highlight, no matter the key visual of the hostel, the appearance of entrance, the sea-view of lobby or the adequate space of the room, all satisfying and could provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. At first I didn't notice the breakfast is self-helping and couldn't understand the explanation of the staff, but the receptionist was trying hard to explain with a nice attitude. Finally I got it. Appreciated!

Friendly staff and hostel hostel”

hostel is at the end of the beach which was important to me as there wasn't any crowd where it was. Staff is very polite and helps alot with my needs like what to eat and nice people to talk to in general. clean beddings everyday, own privacy (curtains) and clean toilets everyday. Breakfast is toast and cereal with spreads like steawberry and butter, freeflow coffee! Also the view of the ocean from the dining area is pretty.
