Beautiful new boutique hotel ”
We arrived at the hotel by car from Bangkok via Mae Sot. Our driver had trouble finding the hotel so it took us around half an hour of asking directions and using my phone GPS map (which wasn't very accurate) before we finally arrived at the hotel sometime after 8pm. The rooms were really great, spacious, comfortable with high quality wifi and an excellent traditional Myanmar breakfast (the only choice) the next morning. No boring noodles, runny eggs or dry white toast here. They even grow their own vegetables, including corn on site! More hotels should be like the Queen Jamadevi in this respect. Apart from the location (which wouldn't be too hard to find if there were more signs around town indicating the direction to the hotel), this hotel offers great value for money and is amongst the best in town, everything considered.

Was like finding an oasis”
Lush greenery and beautiful garden setting in an otherwise mundane city. This was my first hotel in Mawlamyine, so can't compare with others, but I was very satisfied. My laundry was done overnight on a short notice. I had dinner in their lovely garden. Breakfast was average. The room was quiet spacious and clean. The location was hard to find, but I liked the quietness.

Wonderful Hotel”
Only 5min by Scooter and you are in the centre of Mawlamyine. So not far away. The Deluxe Bungalow is worth the extra money, such a lovely room. Wonderful design. I loved to stay there. And when you walk into the garden it’s like entering a fairytale scenery. So beautiful with all the flowers, paperbirds - need to learn how to create them. - and so much more. Nice staff. Clean. Great breakfast. Good choice to stay here

Absolutely fantastic ”
We had an amazing time at the Hotel Queen Jamadevi. The room was impeccable, the staff incredibly hepful and the breakfast delicious. This has been our favourite hotel in Myanmar so far.

Comfortable stay in a quirky hotel located in a residential area”
I've now stayed at this hotel several times since my first visit in 2016. It's a good place to stay if you're heading out to Myawaddy the following morning since it's located on the edge of town near the road that leads north towards Eindu, Hpa-an and Myawaddy. The room was comfortable and spacious, although it could use a small sofa or something. Breakfast was alright, nothing special (compared to some of the other hotels in the city) but decent enough. I really like the central garden too. Will stay again on a future trip to Mawlamyine.

A little gem of a hotel”
Our gorgeous bungalow was surrounded by wonderful vegetable and produce gardens giving the hotel a local feel. As a gardener myself this added a lovely element to our time here. The room was modern, comfortable, spotless. Bed comfortable with extra pillows. The restaurant served a wide variety of tasty and well priced meals using many of the vegetables from the gardens. Staff booked a tour for us and arranged taxis. It is a few minutes out of town with a $4 taxi ride but worth it for the peace and quiet. Overall this was a lovely stay and highly recommend it to others

Dear Donna, we are pleased for your pleasant stay with us. See you again soon.
Best by far, excellent value for money”
This is a new hotel and so it is rather a secret gem, but I am sure that when the word gets out this will be considered the best hotel in the region. Family owned and run, a great deal of care and attention has gone into the quality of the accommodation. Food is local, plentiful and excellent. It has no pool or super flash facilities but the staff care and their willingness to advise, book tickets arrange cabs etc can not be faulted. Being a Little out of town it is quiet, but you can be on the Strand Road in 10 minutes by tuc tuc. The final bill was so low I volunteered to pay more, not something I have ever done before.

Beautiful, but lacking in a few key areas”
The hotel was one of the most attractive that we stayed in. However, the air conditioning wasn't up to the weather and we were quite hot there. The food at the restaurant and buffet were poor. It is about 20" drive from the sites. It is very clean. It is not a bad place, but I would probably try another option if I were going back to Mawlamyine.

An incredible boutique hotel”
I was staying at this beautiful, quiet boutique hotel from 2nd October to 5th October. Clean, tidy and rich in decor, this hotel is family run hotel and so no small detail goes unnoticed by the staff and management. I had a very special request whereby food has to be prepared for 150 monks by 5am. The arrangement was accomplished by the ever hard working Ms khine. And this is for 3 consecutive days ! Staff will go beyond their dutit's to ensure your stay is memorable. Going to moulamyein without staying at this boutique hotel is like missing a big hole. Will go again to stay there for sure. I thank everyone at this hotel tremendously for a wonderule experience.

Our best hotel in Myanmar”
This hotel is really great. The boss is a very nice lady, who cares for everybody, so you really feel at home. Probably that's why the atmosphere is so great. The whole staff is very attentive, the rooms are clean, the garden is like an oasis. It's no problem, that the hotel is a little bit out of town, because they always arrange cheap taxi transports. They also offer lunch and dinner in the restaurant, which is really delicious. We've spent two weeks in Myanmar and that was definitley our best hotel!

Fantastic oasis in Mawlamyine”
Clean, well appointed rooms - both in the bungalows and in the hotel. Great hot water and deep bathtub (in bungalow) and strong shower (in hotel room). The vegetable gardens and greenery of the hotel grounds added to the charm. We spent many hours on our bungalow porch relaxing... The restaurant served good, nourishing, Asian food. We spent 3 nights here and ate 4 meals in addition to breakfast here.

Picturesque hotel far from the center”
The hotel is brand new and boasts beautiful local architecture and a lush garden. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The young staff is very charming and their service outstanding. They will answer you any question you have and organise a taxi, tuk tuk, scooter or even boat trip to Hpa-An for you. Breakfast is very generous and original. The only drawback is its remote location far from the center, which will cost you 3000kyat for each taxi journey. We rented a motorbike, but got lost several times in finding our way back home.

A hidden gem in Mawlamyine”
Tasteful decore with local touches. In between their bamboo houses and the main hotel rooms there is beautiful garden with areas to chill. The staff is extremely kind, the rooms very clean and cosy. Their included breakfast buffet has a variety of western and local food. The dinner menu has plenty of options of both western and local dishes - vegetarian friendly. 10 min from the train station and 15 min tuk tuk drive to the boat for Hpa An.

Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens”
Aside from the difficulty finding the hotel (I now know how to get here without the aid of a map having stayed several times), the location is idyllic and quiet, which I like. I would however recommend some clearer and more prominent signs, especially at the entrance to the street the hotel is located on. This is particularly important after dark. Anyway, once I arrived I was swiftly checked in and taken to my room. The room was spacious and comfortable; I particularly liked the layout of the bathroom. Breakfast was OK, though nothing special. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Very clean and nicely made hotel! Absolutely worth the way to the city!”
The staff is very friendly and helpful, my favourite hotel in myanmar so far. The rooms and the whole hotel are very clean and modern. The owners really have an eye for the detail, which you can not take for granted for hotels in myanmar.

Hard to find - but with the help of Google Maps we managed”
Nice little hotel where I have previously been to once before and tried staying on a second occasion but gave up due to the difficulty of finding it in the middle of the night. The signs nearby are not helpful at all as they confuse you. Anyway, this time we arrived without much trouble thanks entirely to Google Maps (otherwise I doubt we could have found it). Room was nice and quite big, beds located quite far away from the TV. Wifi not bad. Breakfast was OK, mostly Myanmar food being served though not many choices. Nice vegetable garden in the middle of the hotel complex. Will consider staying again but generally speaking prefer the Cinderella hotel due to being more centrally located or the Royal Hinthar when desiring a pool.

Great hotel, but needs a clean”
Spent two nights in February, 2020. Stayed in a bungalow. Definitely ask to stay in the bungalows, they are surrounded by beautiful gardens, have wide balconies, and they'll bring your breakfast to sit on the balcony in the morning, looking over the gardens. The hotel is a bit far from the bus station, but if you have a car or bike it's easily accessible. From the hotel to the river walk is less than 10 minutes by car or bike. The only downside is the usual Myanmar complaint, lack of cleaning and maintenance. The rooms had white paint at one time, but are badly in need of another coat. The cleaning leaves much to be desired, but in fairness the sheets and towels do seemed to be freshly laundered, although stained. Tip: Ask for the bungalow at the far end of the compound. The only thing you'll see are the gardens. And ask for breakfast on your balcony.

We highly recommend this extremely charming hotel. Very smiling and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and restaurant, nice garden, luxury old-style wood-made and spacious bungalows.

Edge of town”
Worth being just out of town, very helpful staff, good food served in the garden, clean room, hired scooters and went to the island, car arranged for onward travel, stayed in a cottage but asked to see a room in the main block and think I would not have been disappointed. Would book again.

A great oasis on the edge of Mawlamine”
Although away from the city centre, the garden, decor and staff make this hotel a great place to relax and to explore Mawlamine. The staff are extraordinarily charming and helpful, the food is good, and the rooms clean and functional. Highly recommended.
