as an international traveler, i seek out the best hotels to care for my body, mind and spirit. hotel tibet is one of the best hotels i have experienced as a guest. i was immediately impressed by the gracious and friendly staff who wore traditional tibetan attire. everyone was was overly accommodating, anticipating my needs and provided excellent service. the atmosphere creates an immediate sense of peace and tranquility. the detail in the woodwork, art pieces, hand-painted trim and views of the boudha stupha elevate this hotel to the highest level from any other hotel in kathmandu. most of all, the abundantly caring service provided by the staff created a lasting experience and differentiates hotel tibet international from all others. i hosted a dinner at the shangri la kitchen which offered exquisite selections from tibetan, chinese and intercontinental cuisines. we enjoyed a variety of appetizers and entries from all categories and not a single crumb was left on anyone's plate! over a breakfast meeting, we had the same experience and send our compliments to the chef and staff for this achievement. while you are a guest, you would be remiss not to schedule time at the spa before you depart kathmandu. the environment was relaxing and aromatic. the hot stone massage was the best i have ever experienced and rejuvenated my body after the many harsh travels environments i subject it to while in kathmandu for three weeks. i would also recommend you visit the tibetan carpet showroom on the lower level of the hotel which create unique handwoven rugs/works of art created by the tibetans. a treasure to take home as a remembrance of your visit to this region and in support of the tibetan people. i will definitely return to hotel tibet international when i return to kathmandu!

the hotel tibet international is truly a unique experience in the boudha district of kathmandu, nepal. after traveling all over nepal and experiencing 2-star thru 4-star hotels accommodations, my traveling companion were happily delighted to find the hotel tibet international. we found the hotel while searching the internet and would suggest going direct to their website rather than agoda when reserving a room here, www.hoteltibetintl.com.np as we walked in after a 7 hour taxi adventure from the outskirts of chitwan, nepal the staff of the hotel tibet international gladly welcomed our visit and furthered their welcome by providing us a tour of the facility and personal visit to their onsite spa. our room was not only new and clean but the tibetan décor surrounded the hotel in a way that you would think you were actually visiting tibet. the selection of this location is idea to the direct access to the stupa immediately across the street, opposed to the thamel district which is not only trendy with dirty hippies posers but currently has many security concerns. staying at the hotel tibet international is not only a wonderful place to stay for a night or two but a true experience.

strongly recommend hotel tibet international, a boutique hotel in boudhanath near the stupa. each room is tastefully decorated in the tibetan style, super clean and without the smell of humidity that permeates other hotels in kathmandu, even the better ones like the the soltee crowne plaza. the staff is helpful and attentive. the food in the restaurant is delicious; the spa and massages a wonder after trekking in tibet. breakfast is served on the roof restaurant and the view from it, over the stupa and most of kathmandu, is worth the stay per itself.

I had been to the Hotel Tibet International once before while in Kathmandu. I was extremely satisfied and booked it again. I did upgrade to the Tibetan Boutique Suite and was very, very happy with the room. Breakfast on the roof top is wonderful. Not only is the food excellent, the view of Kathmandu and the valley is very nice. I will stay at the Hotel Tibet International on my next visit to Kathmandu.

Superb, superb and superb. Never seen such a generous hospitality any where in world. Every minute requirement of guest is taken care. Staff is highly oriented to look after guests. Many hotels in Kathmandu have very big and nice property, but they rarely take good care of guests. In other words, they are business oriented. That is not the case with Tibet international hotel. Customer is like god for them and they worship. People are very polite and gentle. The rooms, bathroom and you name it. Everything is so much detailed and things are only for ease of stay.

Good Hotel with wonderful staff”
I stayed in the hotel for six nights.More than I liked is the staff, friendly, ready to satisfy all your needs. The room was clean, confortable and quite facing the hotel courtyard. The brekfast selection was good and the breakfast terrace with the view of the Boudha Stupa very nice. I had a chocolate bisquit every evening in my room; it is really kind. The Boudha Stupa is a short walk from the hotel. I want go back to Hotel Tibet International if I find myself in Kathmandu.

Best Service Experience Ever !!!”
We were amazed by the service standards in this hotel. The check in staff Ren Chen had such a level of personalised service we became friends. She did an great job with the check in. It was seamless. She also then accompanied us to our room and showed us to all the facilities. I guess this level of service is really commendable. She even assisted us in getting a local SIM Card. If we go to Kathmandu again, we are definitely staying at Hotel Tibet International.

Wonderful experience”
This was a wonderful experience with the Hotel Tibet International. We had two rooms and both of them were spacious with very nice design. The hotel is very clean, staff very helpful. As it was our first trip to Nepal, we had difficulties with finding places we wanted to visit, so we asked the staff to help us with taxi and negotiate the price. Room service was great as well. The restaurant on the first floor offered good variety of food and very tasty. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at that hotel.

Fantastic Hotel”
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Our spacious room was at the back..quiet with modern amenities. During load shedding the generator would kick in & we would still have lights & hot water. The staff upgraded us initially which was great..felt we had our own apartment across from the holy stupa. The best was the fabulous staff who treated everyone with respect & courtesy. The owners of Hotel Tibet International should be very proud of their wonderful staff. I have stayed in many hotels from 5 star down & this one has been one of the best experiences so far. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nepal:)

Comfortable and quiet rooms”
a short drive away from tribhuvan international airport (if there is none of the frequent strikes and road blocks) you will find a neat and comfortable stay at hotel tibet international. decorations in tibetan style create a tasteful ambience, to be seconded only by the courtesy and helpfulness of all members of hotel staff, be it in the front office, house keeping or the restaurant, which serves excellent food. the hotel is located in boudha district, just a few minutes walking distance from boudhanath stupa, one of the most significant buddhist sanctuaries.

Excellent and quiet hotel in the Buddha Stupa”
I cannot say enough about the staff at the Hotel Tibet International. They were courteous and extremely helpful on every occasion. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a great job. The Boudhanath Stupa is just down the street and was one of our favorite parts of town to go visit and had few great restaurants and coffee shops. It was a 350-500 rupee taxi ride to anywhere in the city and was close to the airport. Another great feature of the hotel was the fact that it was air conditioned and on a generator so when power would go out (several times a day) we still were able function. It is in a neighborhood that is very quiet at night as well, which helped because we were traveling with our 11 month old baby.

This summer vacation we went to Nepal. While in Kathmandu, we stayed at Tibet Hotel International. Rooms are very nice and service was good. Few staff member are Tibetans, it has the appearance and does have modern Tibetan hospitality. If you want to experience simple, old fashioned Tibetan food, ask local Tibetan.

Never regretted my choice a single bit!”
It was a superb stay at Hotel Tibet International. The rooms are very clean and nice smelling. The toilet facilities are perfect with hot showers that was so good because I went during winter. The location is also perfect as it is near Boudha Nath and many good food is readily accessible. Given the price, it is definitely a value for money choice!

Hotel Tibet International is one of the best hotel in Nepal. You can book this hotel with a good rate through agoda. The room is so huge & clean. You can easily walk to the UNESCO site the Boudhanath stupa. The staff were very very helpful & extremely nice. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit. You will not regret staying there.

Best hospitality, serene and beautiful hotel”
I had the best time in Hotel Tibet International. They really took care of my needs and made my stay as comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend this to travelers who want to be in a very nice hotel but not spending too much like in the Hyatt Hotel. Very close to Boudanath Temple and the view of the mountains was spectacular in their rooftop.

Best value for money in Kathmandu i got. I would stay in that hotel anytime again. It's near a famous tourist spot, although a bit away from the noisy Tamel. It's the ideal hotel to pamper yourself after a nice trek in Tibet or Nepal and explore Kathmandu.

Management bought a cake on my birthday!!”
I have traveled for nearly 3 decades in Asia but cannot remember having ever been made to feel so welcome. Staff went out of their way to help get taxis and find/provide information. I happened to be there on my birthday and to my surprise there was a cake waiting for me after coming back from a long day full of meetings. The restaurant on the 1st floor is excellent though quite expensive. The only disadvantage is the location - it costs around 4-5 us$ by taxi to go into town which takes around 30-45 minutes each way. Even so, I will be back for sure as I enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Tibet International!
