"This place was amazing and not what we were expecting when we booked a hostel at the price we paid! It was decorated lovely, it was clean, the staff were helpful. There is a great locker/luggage area which came in handy. There is a really nice big bar with cheap drinks. The rooms are small but clean and have storage. The location was the best part about it, just off the Royal Mile in the middle of everything! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Friends of ours stayed in a hotel around the corner and paid 3 x the price and the only difference was the view from their room!"

"Great! Simply Great for an affordable price! Hotel management knows their differences compared to other city hotels, and they are trying their best to cover up those differences. The room was wonderful with all the amenities provided with regard to its price. Layout of the room was good too, not too narrow, and the wide bathroom. Also the view from the windows was open and freshing. Making you feel that you are in Edinburgh. Good Wi-Fi as well. Breakfast is same in every and each hotel, traditional scottish. Lifts were reliable and quick. It might seem a little further up the city centre compared to others but actually just 7 mins walk and we were on The mile end. Car parking is limited, but the street is available until 8:30 in the mornings. Only few stains in the bathtub is the negative thing we could say. The toileteries were wonderful btw. I wouldn't think for a minute if I 'd go to Edinburgh again. "

"We actually got a better deal with Agoda website than paying directly, so it only cost us just over £21 for two of us in a six bed dorm. Facilities were basic but clean, and much better than another hostel in the city (which we won't name). We would have given 5 stars for facilities if there had been lockers in the room. A towel would have been nice but, as it's a backpackers, perhaps that's being unfair - especially for the price we paid."
