When entering the Scotsman you step back in time. Located in the former Scotsman newspaper building this hotel shares its sense of another time with its guests. The marble staircase and the Grand Cafe faced with beautiful marble throughout shows the grandeur of another era. I would recommend this hotel for its location close to the Royal Mile alone, the building is ano...

My stay at Ten Hill Place was very satisfying and enjoyable. This hotel is in a very convenient location (imho). Near to quite a few different eating establishments as well as located near some ‘tourist ‘ spots like the castle, Holyrood and the Royal Mile. The hotel staff was overall very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The one negative for me was that the living ...

I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 bed-room apartment that I recently stayed in Old Town Chambers. The beds are very comfortable. The apartment is beautifully furnished and it's well kept. They provide a Nespresso Coffee Machine as well as coffee capsules. They also provide a nice selection of tea too. The location of the hotel is just awesome! It's right on Royale Mile and ...

We booked a three nights stay over New year to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a King size deluxe room with a great view of the castle. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and assisted us with any information we needed on the area to enhance our stay. The breakfast had a choice of continental or a hot breakfast items and was continuously being monitore...

I arrived at 7.30am after a 30 hour flight and on arrival said I knew I was exceptionally early and if I could leave my bags. The staff insisted on arranging my room to be cleaned so I could shower and relax. I also had a booking the second night as a twin share under another friends name so they arranged the rooms to be the same. truely the best service I've yet to re...

Room was clean, modern. We just didn’t like the small stairs up, difficult with the luggage. It’s right on the Royal Mile, close to Holyrood Castle and World’s End. Close to the train station, as well. Allowed us to go to & from Glasgow in the same day easily. Staff we’re very friendly. Gave us packed brekky since our tours were early.

The moment we walked in the front door, we knew we were going to love this hotel. We had the great pleasure of being greeted by Peter Binnie, who was the afternoon manager for our entire stay. He was friendly, engaging and made some great suggestions for places to visit. Even more impressive, as my husband and I were wandering down one of the streets that Peter had rec...

this was our first trip to edinburgh and everyone we talked to told us to stay near the royal mile for the sights. the location of this hotel was exactly what we wanted. near to the royal mile but also near the restaurant area. we stayed 3 nights at the hotel. when we first arrived, the girl who checked us in was great. she made us feel very welcome and pointe...

I was there three nights. Got there early for check in but they had a room ready so let me check in there and then. Room was a great size - really large for a hotel room. Location is right round the corner from Grassmarket so brilliant for unique little places and bars and restaurants and a nice walk up to the Royal Mile. I ate twice in the hotel and was impressed ...

I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The rooms were modern, clean with nice interiors. The reception was very nice and helpful. Location was also okay. We were able to walk to the edinburgh castle and holyrood palace. Its also near the bus stop. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if i go back to scotland. Very good value for money.

I had planned more time in Scotland, but ended up changing to 2 nights and 1 day. Dean at the desk helped me gather so much information, so I could get on the tours that I did not want to miss. I managed to get everywhere and really enjoyed my visit. He even located discounts. Both he and Agnes were very personable and helpful. I also had the best nights sleep bec...

The hotel is rather centrally located, within close proximity to the castle and the royal mile (though need to go up and down slope). We like the modern and nice design in the room. The room was clean and large with plenty of walking space. Though the flooring uses budget wood board, rather than typical carpeted flooring, it looks pretty new and comfortable. What we li...

Half-way between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, this hotel couldn't be in a better location. A short walk from the train station and close to 100's of shops, bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and able to tell us of many tours and events. Recommended.

The Inn Place was a lovely place to stay for my first trip to Edinburgh. The room was fabulous and clean. The location was 2 minutes from the Royal Mile and 5 mins from Princes Street. It was a beautiful walk to either and had lots to do around. It also beside the best Harry Potter shop I have seen in a while which was a huge bonus. I only had one let down when there a...

Rooms are utilitarian. Modern hotel with very small bathroom. Great location with an easy walk through the park to The Royal Mile and Edunburgh Castle. Taxi to Waverley Station or main bus station only about £6. Best thing is the fantastic breakfast buffet and the fact that they provide sealable plastic containers to take food items away if you wish. They also provide ...

We completely loved our stay in this hotel. There were so many details that added a little bit extra to make our stay in Edinburg the best of our trip. The hotel in some ways is minimal but makes up by making the necessary seem extraordinary and much better than you would expect. Location was also great!

I've stayed at this lovely hotel in the past, and I really didn't need a reason to book again, but if you are attending many of the comedy events during Fringe season then this Hotel is Location, Location, Location with a 2 minute walk from George Square where so many events take place, and only a 4 minute walk in the other direction from the Royal Mile. The shower ...

The hotel is basically lodged between the Edinburgh Castle and Palace of Holyrood House. The castle is a stone's throw away while the journey to Holyrood Palace was a pleasant walk through the many shops along High Street and Cannongate. Just down the road from the hotel is the famous Mary King's Close. We also discovered a great restaurant a couple of doors away call...
