Hotels near Nga Htat Gyi Pagoda

It's very nice place with modern design. Staff is most helpful and everything works as it should be ( AC and wifi). Breakfast is variety of choices! The only thing is that's far from the center. I do like walking and don't mind it much, but to closes pagoda is 60mins. Which in heat as now is bit difficult. But is you don't mind using taxi then I strongly recommend this place.

From start to finish, the staff was great, the suite we booked was large, comfortable and quiet. It was an easy walk to what we needed and not very far to Shwedagon and other pagodas. Breakfast was quite good and had a variety between Burmese, Indian, Western (we stayed with the Burmese) Had a driver some days and braved the slightly aberrant traffic on others. As seems normal, "professional" drivers of taxis, buses are often the most aggressive and annoying as a pedestrian. Yangon really is not set up well for walking vs. drivers. YMMV... As for a hotel, H Valley Hotel is an excellent choice unless you wish to be in the heart of the downtown.

The hotel was nice…basic but comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar and restaurant has a stunning view of the nearby Shewdagon Pagoda. And it's an easy 10-15 minute walk to the pagoda. There are many restaurants on the main road nearby. A mobile phone shop across the street sold a very reasonably priced SIM card for my mobile phone. The included breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared. Many tourists are not aware of the Yangon Circular Railway. It's a very inexpensive way to see the local culture as the train makes the trip from the main station, returning 3 hours later. The locals on the train and the sights along the way are well worth seeing. Morning is best before it gets too hot. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again on a future visit to Yangon.

Located Walking distance from Shwedagon Pagoda, the highlight of any visit to Yangon, very close to the Market place where you can get anything that you may need and a whole lot of great eating places around the place make it my first choice of hotel if I am to travel back to Yangon again. That the hotel staff are so genuinely nice and helpful who try to do everything to make your stay as comfortable as they can with a happy smile on their faces adds handsomely to the location advantage. Finally, the hotel is clean, the environment is peaceful and calm and rooms are compact and comfortable all are huge plus points in favour of the Sky View Hotel.

Good value for money. Large & clean rooms with all amenities. Good quality breakfast. Hotel is centrally located in Yangon but you definitedly need a car. We booked 2 rooms with Pagoda view (more expensive)but initially we were assigned rooms next door to a large tour group who would definitely make loud noise so we immediately requested new rooms on a different floor. Then, we were given 1 room with city view and 1 room facing Shwedagon pagoda but it was totally eclipsed by trees. I immediately asked for a change for the city view room. However, my parents have already unpacked so they were not about to move anywhere. However, on the last day they made up for that by allowing us to have a late check-out which was nic nice. Wifi in the room is rather weak and not stable.

The hotel is located near the Shwedagon pagoda, about a 10 min taxi ride from downtown. It is about a 20 min walk to the Nga Htet Gyi pagoda and the Reclining Buddha pagoda behind it. The area is quite quiet and with few restaurants. The furnishings in the room are not luxurious but the room is thoughtfully well-equipped, with safe deposit box, hair dryer, complimentary 2litres of water, kettle, TV, even two small armchairs. The room was clean and the bedsheets were of high quality. The service is excellent. The buffet breakfast was the most sumptuous we had seen across 4 hotels in Myanmar. All in all, it is a very comfortable hotel and most of what leisure travellers require is available.

The location is fantastic, you walk out the driveway and straight into a local market, before you know it you're at shweddagon Pagoda. Later in the evening the market fills up with local food vendors and just a couple of buildings down from the hotel is a small convenience store that sells cheap beer. Unless you bump into other guests entering or leaving the hotel you probably won't see any other tourists. Our favourite spot was to take a couple of beers up to the rooftop and watch the sunset behind the Pagoda. I reckon it's got to be the best view in Yangon and we spent every sunset up there with our cameras before heading out for the night. It's about a 30 minute walk to the bogyoke markets. You can't fault the staff, they were very helpful and friendly and gave us great advice as well as helping us book internal flights.

Hotel M is a charming hotel in a nice quiet residential area with a boutique hotel feel to it. The room was beautifully furnished and the hotel feels like home away from home. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We used the inexpensive taxis and Grab to get around the city. The staff at Hotel M would call taxis for us which we found to be very convenient. Our stay was during the low season and the hotel management kindly upgraded us to a larger room. We had an issue with the air conditioning which the hotel addressed but wasn’t fully resolved. If we had stayed another night, I’m sure the hotel would’ve provided us with another room. Last but not in the least, the breakfast was excellent.

For us this was the perfect place to stay in Yangon. We've stayed in Downtown previously and been quite disappointed. This was slightly out of our usual nightly budget (we're backpackers) but excellent value for money and somewhere we'd stay again. The location is ideal if you want to be near the Shwedagon Pagoda and near enough that you can walk to local shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there is free water available all day. Facilities were decent for Myanmar, with a small gym and rooftop pool (although this was out of service while we were there). The rooftop terrace is a lovely place to have dinner, with an incredible view of the pagoda which is illuminated at night time. But the service at the restaurant is pretty poor! Breakfast is served elsewhere and is a decent spread with different options each day, mainly Asian food with toast, cereal and eggs available too. Although the coffee out of the machine is fairly basic, would have been nice to have fresh coffee ideally. Rooms were very nice with plenty of room and a clean ensuite bathroom with hot water. All in all this hotel was just what we needed from Yangon and would happily stay there again!

Was looking for a 3 Star and found this appropriate hotel. There were no disappointment at all. Staffs were completely attentive. Had a amazing view of glistening Pagoda. Breakfast every morning was decent and provided a good choice of quality food served at Crystal Jade ballroom. Had a chance to enjoy the amazing view of glistening Pagoda. Rooms were fairly sized and spotlessly clean. - A satisfying 3 star after all.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. From housekeeping, to reception to restaurant, the staff makes you feel welcome and at home. Winner Inn has upgraded its facilities beautifully. Comfortable rooms and beds. Rain shower. Good breakfast buffet. Good internet. About 20 min walk to Shwedagon Pagoda. Close to good restaurants, including Sharkeys. Convenient to get to meetings.

I had a wonderful 4 nite stay at this hotel. It is conveniently situated within walking distance from the Kangdawi Lake, Swedagon Pagoda and the Bogyote Aung San Museum. Taxi to the major attractions in downtown is just about USD3 and it is very very easy to get a taxi in Yangon. The rooms are spacious and clean with sufficient hot water, flat screen tv, safe and good wifi. My room with balcony is on the 2nd floor so it was very quiet despite little noise from the construction site (where a heritage house was being renovated) and the telephone in the hallway for housekeeping service during day time. The staff are excellent; they could all speak good English and extremely helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast offered toast, fruit, tea, congee, fried rice/noodle and fried vegetables/meat, sufficient to keep me full for a while. That was important to me as I usually had early breakfast and late lunch. I have tried out their swimming pool too. The water was clean but icy. It took me for a minute to get the courage to get into the water. But it was fine once I started to swim. Highly recommended to anyone going to Yangon.

I've gotten a special cut off price which made me feel like i got a free wonderful room. It's a spacious room with lots of trees behind the property. Can you imagine that how it is like when you stay at a hotel that you can hear flock of birds sing and chat. After raining you hear family of frogs played orchestra. Despite it doesn't offer decent breakfast and i had to go outside eating. The rest of those are wonderful for the amount of money charged to my card.

This small 40 room hotel is a 5 minute walk from the biggest pagoda in Myanmar. The rooftop view is spectacular. The owners are family and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food from their kitchen was some of the best I had eaten, even after doing 2 food tours. The location is an hour walk from downtown, but taxis are so cheap, you can get one for about 2 bucks, so it did not matter to me. I preferred the quiet area with the amazing view. The owners were there everyday and made themselves available at all times. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay there. Wish I had more time! Value for money, you cannot go wrong. The breakfast buffet was fresh and changed daily. It really is a great place to stay in Yangon

Charming petite hotel with pleasant surprises... good staff services, nice Minn Thar Gyi Music Bar at the roof top Hotel room is clean and spacious, simple amenities yet so comfortable to stay. Unfortunately too short a stay to explore more ... Most important of all, extreme value for money & i will visit again Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The Golden pagoda - Shwedagon is worth the visit!!!

there is five floor in this hotel, and there is no elevator in the hotel, so you need to walk upstair. the staff able to communicate in english and chinese very well. it is not a big room but it is tidy inside. the bathroom in the room is cover by a semi-see-through glass. the room has 2 pair of slippers as it become very useful if you would like to visit pagodaS. it is very convenient to catch a taxi in front of the hotel. there is a burger restaurant on the right of this hotel. the nearest sight seeing temple is the Large Sleeping Buddha with around 15-20 mins walking distance. There is a shopping mall also is 15-20mins walking distance.
