Hotels near Tu Duc Tomb

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in, truly a five star hotel. The building itself is magnificent set in lovely gardens. The rooms are spacious and extremely modern and comfortable. Thge hotel pool is large and beautiful with adjoining gym and sauna. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a huge range of food to suit all tastes. Just on the outer part of the4 city it is only a couple of dollars to the city centre. The staff at this hotel must be the best in Vietnam. Most speak extremely good English and were extremely helpful and friendly. Easily the best hotel in Hue and argubaly for value the best in Vietnam. Highly recommended fo travellers of all types.

We stayed 3 nights in Junior suite river view, The room was very clean and nice size with a large comfortable bed. The view from our room over the Perfume river was beautiful, the staff were amazing, they tried so hard to please. We never ate at the hotel so cant comment on the food. You can walk to a few attractions (Citadel) from the hotel, or tour the temples and tombs of ancient kings, Tu Duc, Khai Dinh and Minh Mang.

We were not too sure what to expect for our hotel stay in Hue, but was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. We booked two private tours san English speaking tour guide since we were told by the sells person Andrew that our driver speaks good English. Our driver Seng spoke little English and was Not a tour guide. We did appreciate the fact that he waited for us at the different locations without complaint. We took our time looking around the tombs and other sites. I was traveling with my spouse, elderly mother and aunt. They need a lot of time to get around. Andrew was nice but we felt that his English was just not good enough and so we misunderstood the duties of our driver. We took the 3 tombs; citadel; and pagoda personal driving tour package the second day in hue. The. We booked a tour from Hue to Hoi An where our driver dropped us off at our next hotel. On the way we visited, the Hai Van pass (neat); beach near Pearl place (skip it if you don't know pearls; it's a visit to a resort with a beach front); marble mountain (super amazing! Bring water and be prepared to walk and climb around. It will take you at least 3 hours). We did check prices of other tours in hue and felt that the private car was a few dollars more but we aren't rushed and shepherded around in a big tour group. On the first day we arrived early and the hotel staff allowed us to check in early. We were exhausted from being on the sleeping bus all night long. The reception desk is on the 10th floor. breakfast was on the 10th floor on Sunday and on 11th floor on Monday. On Monday, there were tons of kids on a field trip at breakfast. They decended onto the buffet like locusts and we had to wait a while. It would have been nice if they were sent to the buffet in a more orderly manner.

Moonlight was probably our favorite hotel in Vietnam. From the prompt airport pick up to the front desk, wait staff and housekeeping all were extremely friendly and eager to serve. Most staff had a good command of English and if they did not they found someone who did to help you. Their breakfast buffet was superb not only in quantity and quality of food but the hours were from 6:30 to 10am which we loved as we are not early risers. There were many breakfast choices and even at 9:45 the staff were friendly,accommodating and never ran out of food. The hotel location was excellent. It is on a street with numerous good restaurants and bars to choose from. We particularly liked the Why Not? bar and restaurant. It is walking distance to the city and close to the river, for boat rides, and the Citadel. Hue is immersed in culture and there are numerous tours to tombs, temples, pagodas, gardens, etc. to keep you busy for days or you can choose a more relaxed approach. We toured the Citadel, three tombs and did a river boat trip to the pagoda and garden. All were interesting and we got our culture fix. Shoppping while not stupendous was good. Prescription sunglasses were a great buy. The market while interesting to see from the outside and a great place for photos of everyday life was stifling inside. I saw things I wanted to look at but the heat was overwhelming and the vendors were voraciously hawking their wares so it was impossible to focus. Bottom line: Great hotel and great city.

Again a glowing review. This is a new hotel and you get every new hotel benefit. We had a room which was practically perfect: huge, great balcony, great bathroom, modern interior. The pool here is surely the best for the hotel's luxury range and the very personal attention and service of Huong, marvellous. The breakfast buffet spread was serious and delicious, but the stars here are definitely the staff, who tripped over themselves trying to better accommodate us at every turn. EMM restaurant on the side of hotel is excellent , the service provided buy waiters was very professional , the chefs in the kitchen really know what there doing , great food. The management and staff were very nice and helpful, the hotel was clean and well maintained, the food was great and all round the experience in this hotel was far better than others on my trip. During our stay my wife got sick and one of the breakfast staff members called reception and within 30 minutes a doctor visit us,

We booked this hotel through agoda so we got it cheap. When we arrived outside we thought they'd taken us to the wrong hotel. It's big and grand. The room was incredible for what you're paying for. Lovely big bath, walk in shower, huge bed, tv etc. We had the best nights sleep in ages. The swimming pool is on the top floor next to the bar and there's a really good view over Hue. The breakfast had an amazing choice of food and the evening meal was the best meal we'd had in vietnam. We felt like we had a night in luxury for £20. This hotel has just opened so they're trying get as many people in so they write good reviews then they'll put their prices up so get in quick.

We found a good deal on Agoda for the hotel and we had an amazing hotel for a fairly cheap price. The design is beautiful, it is a pleasure even just to stay in the room. The breakfast was amazing , everything was fresh and delicious and huge variety. The spa is only free from 4 to 7pm, otherwise you have to pay. The spa is small but nice and we booked a fantastic massage there. We only had 2 bad experience. Laundry was extremely expensive (going by piece) and we even had spots on the white t-shirt. Though they rewashed and reimbursed a small amount. We booked a tour with them where the guide was great however the tour was overbooked and the transfer was not sorted out properly, we were 8 people forced into one car (Not minivan) Even though this 2 experience, it was an amazing hotel , one of the best we stayed in Vietnam.

We had a great stay at Serene Shining! When we arrived our room wasn't ready yet so they propose to upgrade us to a better and bigger room that was already available! The room was great, really big, with a router right in the middle, so the Wi-Fi couldn't work better. The staff gave us great tips to local street food stalls and even booked as a driver and boat to take us to the citadel and the tombs. This was the best hotel staff in Vietnam (and we found really nice people in all the hotels we've been too in Vietnam!), they really went out of there way to make our stay unforgettable. Thank you!

This hotel is staffed by students of the Business of tourism. They work very hard to problem solve and make sure everyone is comfortable and taken care of. We were able to walk from our hotel and explore Hue however, this city is very spread out--having a bicycle or a motorcycle would have been easier. One suggestion to this hotel is to make bike rentals available through the hotel. Through the hotel we were able to book a private car for the next day which took us to see the tombs and temples south of the city. Their price were fair and our driver was very good. We paid through the hotel so there was no issue. We stayed in a different part of Hue the following night and they were able to accommodate that different drop off location. They had a swimming pool but unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. The room was really big for the two of us--we probably could have booked a smaller room. There was some cleanliness issues around the sides of the wall/floor but other than that it was fine. Breakfast was good with a wide range of fresh fruit. It was hot when we stayed so the welcome drink they provided was very much welcome!

Service level is impressive. Were served welcome drink and fruits while checking in. Gave us all information about the tourist attractions and locations. When we went into the rooms, was surprised to see a fruit platter and even more surprised to find the fruits being replenished daily. We booked a tour through the front desk and they made sure our guide have enough bottles of water for us. Even on our transfer from Hue to Danang which we had arranged ourselves, they passed more bottles of water to the driver for us for the trip. Location wise just five minutes from the. Night market and only shopping in town - Big C Hypermarket. Don't bother walking on your own to the citadel , just book a car and guide for the while day tour including the emperor tombs and pagoda. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hue. It is well worth the high scores on agoda and trip advisor.

The Alba Hotel was the perfect pit stop on our way through Hue. A short 20 min walk from the train station and situated nicely near markets, coffee shops and good restaurants, it had a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful in booking us a boat ride to the Thien Mu Pagoda and a private car to take us around to Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. The rooms were clean and modern and the best feature is the rain showers after a long day of walking around outside. Overall, we had a great experience.

Me and my 2 friends stay at Hue Serene Palace Hotel for 2 days during our visit to Hue. Staff are very welcoming and we were immediately served with fresh juice, fruits and warm hand towel after our 2 hours flight and 2.5 hours journey from Danang which is very refreshing under the hot and humid weather in June. Room is beautiful and bed is comfortable. Staff English proficiency is one of the best in Vietnam. We took 3 private tour packages for perfume river/pagoda, Phong Nga Cave and Citadel/Tu Doc Tomb/enroute to Hoi An. We truly enjoy the stay and hospitality of the hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Hue.

Great hotel! If you want a hotel just for stay (no facilities like swimming pool, gym, etc), this is definitely the best choice! 1. Location is very good, closed to Pham Ngu Lao street (5 min walking) where there are many bars / pubs / restaurants. It is not difficult to find the hotel as well 2. It's clean as well. 3. Nothing to complain about the staff there just because I didn't have anything to contact them much. 4. Facilities: seems this hotel has just built recently. Everything is still new. Air condition is quiet (the fridge is a bit noise but I unplugged it) 5. Price: quite cheap. In conclusion, I'm satisfied with this and definitely come back if I have chance

this was the first three star hotel we used in our travels in vietnam and we must say we were pleasantly suprised. the room was great, quiet, spacious and clean. breakfast was good, you could choose whatever you want, one of the best hotel breakfasts we had in vietnam. we also had great service from the staff, they helped us book train tickets. we also booked two tours through them. a city tour for about 9-10 dollars and a tour to the tombs for 15 dollars. both were great value, totally recommend them - especially the tombs tour. the pool looked cool but it was a bit too cold at the time we were there. the hotel is located in a back alley but wasnt hard to find. it was good because it made it more quiet at nights.

When we arrive at the Hotel the check-in went smoothly. The room are large, clean with a bathub/shower type. For the price we were very satisfied with the room. Breakfast was included and was ok, a major part of the food is not so warm in the buffet ( bacon, sausage etc.) so nothing fancy, but they do offer a egg station where you can get omelette and eggs made so for a free breakfast included with a room with the promotion by 2 nights get one free it was more than we expected. Night management was ok but we had lost the safe combination and nobody on the evening or night shift could help us and we had to go down to the counter to finally get some appropriate response. The day management is just fabulous and really courteous. Only bad side is any tour or services offered in or around the Hotel. We try to book a trip with the Hotel to go to the caves and their price were doubled than the one we found in town and the lady working at the tour desk really didn't know much about tours that was deceiving. We finally went to town and book the same tour in a travel agency for half price they were asking. The hotel rents moot-bikes but again the price asked for a day or half day was way more expensive than what we got in town and that was also deceiving. The hotel is close to center town, but other hotel are closer so you might want to get bicycles or motto-bikes to go around the city. Overall the hotel is cheap for what you get and its clean so I would recommend it but book your trips and transportation outside the Hotel in one of the agencies in the center town. As for Hue city it is nice but we had bad experience with the local population who won't help you with directions or will simply tell you to get lost if you try to ask. Its sad cause we had good experience in all other cities in Vietnam.

There is much to recommend this hotel: it is close to shopping and excellent dining; it has the best shower system this side of a five-star hotel; it is cosy and comfortable; and it's even safe to drink the tap water (maybe why the taps are kinda noisy). Overall, the staff members are friendly and helpful, but there's the rub: as a tourist you will be treated most civilly, but a star has been deducted from this review because such affability apparently does not extend to local tourists (my partner is Vietnamese, and while I was always well greeted she was lucky to get a forced smile, with a doorman being the glowing exception). All guests should be treated equally ... they all help pay staff members' wages. Such a shame to be let down by something that is really Hospitality 101.

Best accommodation I have experienced in my travels around Vietnam. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was any problem for them to assist. Whoever does their staff training should be congratulated on an excellent job. Other hotels should use her/him to train their stall in customer relations. Great attention to detail throughout the hotel. Cleanliness first class. All you can eat menu breakfast was great. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel and I would highly recommend anyone who is staying in Hue to use this accommodation. 5 star service in a 3 star hotel. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL STAFF.

We booked this hotel for three nights and liked it so well we stayed another four nights to stay through my birthday. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very clean. The free breakfast was also very nice although we really aren't big on breakfast. We have stayed at so many hotels in Asia and this was probably the best so far. I highly recommend it!

The Thanh Lich Hotel is a 3 star plus, with authentic staff and a positive room ambience to rest in! I had a massage in my room by a male masseur who did the deed with more than adequate skill -unfortunately the massage rooms were off putting with no apparent heating or cover sheets, with the 'table' being a raised single bed with one side against a wall -? Next door was a clean, curved-shaped swimming pool. Within walking distance to the Perfume River and the night market, weather permitting!; otherwise a concerted walk across the long bridges -the more western one takes you almost directly to the 'citadel' while the other to the "market". The prices for 'artefacts', nic nacs, Cds etc. from the 'citadel' souvenaire shop are not inflated. For art lovers, a visit to the Art Gallery Museum at 15 Le Roi, parallel to the river, is a must-see -mmmmmmmm! It's home to Le Ba Dang's work and provides a link to France, the 'American War' and the Viet Nam Liberation Front; furthermore, it gives perspective to the 'touristy' art shops. Within a one minute stroll to the Parkview Hotel restaurant/cafe for Viet Namese and Western fare, and; possibly a Starbucks almost across the road called the "Light Cafe"? After being spoilt by Hoi An, Hue was cool, cloudy and/or misty rain for two days which was somewhat 'grey and foreboding', contrary to other tourist reports. Michael Ocean Hoi An/New Zealand

We don't often write reviews but this time we really felt that no other accommodation deserved a 10/10 rating more than this one. Four seasons Hotel was the best stay ever and we don't mean just in Vietnam but among all our travels so far (and we travel a lot). The location was pretty good located within the backpacker area with many restaurants and bars. Nevertheless it was really quiet at night. The staff was incredibly kind and helped us whenever we needed any advice. They offered us 2 excellent tours, with an unbelievably nice driver, to Phong nha cave and the king’s tombs. The room was comfy and clean with nice lampions :D. The breakfast was excellent and you could order it any time and as much as you wanted. Fruits and Shakes were given to us every time we returned after a day’s trip. They even surprised us on my birthday with a birthday cake. :D So thanks again for the great stay! PS: Just now we drank the awesome Vietnamese coffee you brought for us at the market ;).

Don't judge it by its unassuming facade, and the photos really don't do it justice. The well-appointed rooms are clean & comfortable, the wifi is good, the air-conditioning is cold and the water is strong & hot. We almost didn't book this hotel as it mentions 'shared bathroom' on the description of the rooms. Actually every room comes with an ensuite bathroom. The location is great - some of the best restaurants, cafes and pubs in Hue are just around the corner, yet the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!

Location is perfect. Price is perfect. Breakfast is perfect. Room is perfect. The staff are the best. I have check-out and the bus will only come at 4.30pm to pick me up to Hanoi. It was raining and I was waiting at the lobby. The lady allowed me to go back to the room to rest and gave me a towel for shower. The other staff are also very approachable although they do not speak English well. I felt welcome.

we stayed at this hotel 5 days. hotel is located in the neighbourhood of tourist agencies and great restaurants. the staff is very frindly and helpful. every day we received frsh fruits and water. we visited citadel in hue and made some trips around the city: emperor tombs, dmz tour, two bicycle tours by our own. if you like to see the real life of vietnamese, the bicycle tour to the seaside is a must. you can book trips, rent bikes and cars at the hotel. we rented a car to hoi an and made a very nice trip with stops at elephant springs, marble mountains, and da nang cham museum.
