“A Comfortable Stay with Minor Hiccups – Still One of the Best in Hong Kong”
We stayed at Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui from June 12-16 and booked two City View rooms for 4 adults and 1 child. Prior to our stay, I had requested Interconnecting Rooms with Twin Beds—but upon check-in, we were informed that only one room was ready and the other was still being cleaned. I reiterated our request, only to be told that such requests must be made in advance (which I had already done). Unfortunately, no interconnecting rooms were available, and we were offered two rooms with two single beds each instead. Although disappointed, I requested at least to have the rooms on the same floor, which the staff arranged after an hour’s wait. As a small consolation, one of the rooms was upgraded to an obstructed Harbour View—perhaps due to the delay—which I appreciated. That aside, the rooms were very clean, spacious, and well-equipped with complimentary water and complete amenities. The beds were comfortable, although I found the pillows a bit too thin for proper neck support. The bathroom was a standout—modern, clean, and with excellent water pressure in the shower. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the location is truly unbeatable—right next to K11 Mall and within walking distance to supermarkets, shops, and tons of food options. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide range from Western to Japanese and Hong Kong-style selections. However, the options were the same every day. On our last day, we had to leave early and requested takeaway breakfast. We received boxes with sandwiches (a bit tough), apples, yogurt, and drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture even if the quality could be improved. Despite the initial check-in issues, this is still one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Hong Kong—great for families, and especially kid-friendly.
