Good central location”
Not cheap, but it's in a nice area. Some staff really know what they're doing, some didn't seem to know the area. But overall, it's a great location to explore the city and the exterior of the building adds a lot of charm.

Above average”
Although the hotel is in a prime location, it is really dated. The room we were assigned has not been updated since built. The bed is pretty much sunken, the amenities super old, and the tub doesn’t drain very well even thought we were only using it for showering.

Nice place great location”
Intercontinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco Hotel was a nice place. Located on the top of Nob Hill it was within walking distance of most of the places we visited. Make you pack some comfortable walking shoes. A cable car crosses right in front of the hotel. The band playing in The Top Of The Mark was awsome and had a great atmosphere. I woulsd stay there again

Traditional old world hotel with great views”
Stayed for two nights. Old world traditionally styled hotel with awesome views of San Francisco in higher floors. Also good 24 hours business center which I used during the trip. Rooms are adequately sized, not as small as some people suggest. Nob Hill excellent location as right across from Fairmont and wealthy neighborhood. Hotel service is good, not extraordinary. Got great deal on room rate so if you can get this hotel for under, think good deal due to location.

great place ”
i loved the place, the room was big, great bed, great service, fast efficient, the "top of the ark" restaurant is amazing, the view all over San Francisco is simply stunning. the only disappointing bit is the extra charge of 15 to 20 USD for a wireless connection

Too Bad About All The Tourists”
It's a great location, with amazing views of the city. The hotel its self is charming in how old it is. I enjoy historic hotels. The one drawback is all the tourists who clog up the tiny elevators, trying to get to Top of the Mark. Re: Top of the Mark, you, along with any yahoo off the street, are waiting for a table in a small area. Once inside, you are seating next to people acting like this is Senior Frogs on Spring Break. The menu is also indicative of a tourist location. Honestly, it's too bad they have catered to tourists, rather than an upscale experience. So much potential, and San Francisco certainly has the type of clientele who could visit an upscale bar in an otherwise upscale hotel.

Staying at the Mark-Hopkins, SF”
The Inter-Continental Mark Hopkins is atop Nob Hill, alongside the Fairmont, the Huntington, and Grace Cathedral -- the best location in SF. The rooms are reasonably sized and well furnished. The service is courteous and friendly. The bar on the top floor has a stunning view. At half-price, I considered the room a very good value, and was happy to stay there for five days. You do have to take a taxi or cable car to get back up to the top of Nob Hill each time, unless you are very young and fit. That's the only drawback, not of the hotel but of the location. But it's well worth it, in my opinion.

Be a "Noble" on top of the "Nob Hill" of SFO”
Top of the Mark is highly recommended. Dressing code and on-the-day performance could be viewed at the lift lobby. Extra charge per person is required for on-the-day performance if any. Evening visit is preferred, due to the fantastic night view of San Francisco.

Very disapponted at this Intercontinental”
This Intercontinental was really disappointing. I got a "base" fare apparently very inexpensive, then bad surprises materialized. Parking fee was $ 57 per night, Internet was not free and charged at $ 18 per night at a speed incredibly low, calls at 1-800, that are free all over the Country, were chargeg at $ 1.75 each. I recommend travelers to stay in the Fisherman Wharf area, where parking and other fees are much more moderate. Never again at the Intercontinental in San Francisco
