We were so please we chose the Novotel Max to stay at whilst in Yangon. From the moment we arrived the staff bent over backwards to please and help us. From moving us to a new room when we were worried it was too close to the pool, to always helping my wife with vegetarian selections in the restaurant, and helping arrange taxis and negotiate prices. Every staff member was exceptional - the best service we have had anywhere in the world. The facilities are top class. The buffet breakfast has the best selection of any hotel we have ever visited and the gym was world class. The rooms were spacious, the wifi very fast and the bed was huge and amazingly comfortable. Whilst obviously in the higher price range for Yangon - our stay was worth every dollar. Special mention to Business Manager Min Kaung San and Concierge Patrick for their amazing service and friendly demeanour at all times.

If you can afford it, this is an extremely pleasant place to stay. Staff are excellent, facilities really nice with big pool and full size gym etc. It even has its own convenience store, which is very.....convenient. The 1-bed suites in Residence 1 are too small for men, but the 1-bed apartments in Residence 2 are really nice. Reception and front office staff are very friendly and polite so all in all I highly recommend Sakura residence. The location is half way between the two lakes, so convenient for many places and close to a range of different restaurants. All in all highly recommended!

Away from the downtown hustle and bustle. Close to airport. Choose this place if you want a quiet spot to rest between your travels in Myanmar.We rented this hotel for the duration of our stay in Myanmar, so it was nice to have a "home" to get back to between our many trips around the country. Don't expect any fancy breakfast. They need to work on the water pressure a bit,although the hot water comes pretty fast. I'll be talking to them about installing shower curtains to prevent water from splashing out onto the bathroom floor while showering in the bath tub. This is the only hotel amongst all the ones I have put up in, in Myanmar, where you don't have to deal with a wet bathroom floor after you've taken a shower. Believe me, it's a design problem that really needs to be fixed! The shower/bath area needs to be isolated in some way from the toilet bowl area!!! Enough said!!!

Having worked in a 5-Star hotel a few years ago, I know a thing or two about service excellence standards - and I can confidently say that Dream Catcher truly does go above and beyond with its service. The staff are friendly and polite, and always generous with their smiles whenever they see you. For example, after learning that I had sprained my ankle, the hotel tried booking a cab for me, but I politely declined. Upon returning to the hotel, the staff asked if I wanted them to prepare a meal to be sent to my room. When I needed to walk out to change money, they offered to help me do it, and when I declined their offer, they offered me an umbrella as the weather was hot. On my last day in Myanmar, I had difficulty booking a cab. After waiting for an hour, I expressed my concerns to the staff at the concierge and without hesitating, the owner of the hotel offered to send me to the airport. My first trip to Myanmar was a memorable one, thanks in part to this wonderful hotel

We stayed here twice for two/three nights, in a dorm, loved it. Lockers to fit your valuables, good facilities, interesting Myanmar breakfast - big and different every day, comfortable beds, friendly helpful staff, cheap laundry, clean showers, probably the nicest place we stayed in Myanmar. There is a balcong to hang out on at night. Far away from the city but close to circle train. We walked back from Shwedagon Pagoda in an hour. Nice neighbourhood too, a mall nearby if that's your thing and cheap eats and a wonderful market close too. Definitely stay here!

Owners are like friends n family. We were caught in very heavy rain n Ms Yu came to fetch us to massage place. N she did it for as a friend. Her mother took us to market to show n introduced us to local food n spices. N even cooked family dinner for us. Like an aunt to us. We’v stayed in many Homestay, but this is the best of the best. It’s not an apartment. It’s homestay. N truely a home away from home. Will definitely go back whenever we go Yangon. Place is beautiful n clean. Thank you Ms Yu n Mdm Muyar.

We booked and made a mistake, and staff was the nicest. Instead of a dorm, they put us in a double room. We were there during fool moon and the host offered us a firework to throw at Inya lake, which is really close. For the price, with breakfast included, it's perfect! Also really close to a main road with many restaurants, street food and buses to go downtown or to the main points of interest. I strongly recommend!

Wonderful new hotel with the most friendly, caring and educated local people we had the fortune to experience. The Majesty hotel is new with all required facilities including secured parking, free internet-wifi, spacious rooms in excellent condition, and excellent views for the top roof. The rooms were perfectly clean and spacious with confortable beds, cable TV, Air Condition, mini bar, modern bathrooms, towels and plenty of hot water. The buffet breakfasts were excellent with freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The personal extremely friendly and highly educated always giving the best consideration and service to make sure we were always pleased. The location of the Majesty is great and quite; near the most visited Shwedagon Pagoda/Temple, Yangon University, Inya lake and the coming soon 5 Star Novotel Hotel. This hotel is located about 3 minutes walk from Insein Road; a main street with variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel manager booked us trips including flight tickets and hotels to Bagan and Mandalay with great satisfaction. As the hotel is new, I would recommend that you book a taxi from the hotel to make sure that the driver finds it easly.

Booked 1 week at a reasobale price then realized when we got there that they were doing renovations and there was construction sites both sides. A little disappointed that when i went to book more nights, the price almost doubled within a few days, good business for the hotel but i believe unethical as people who are now paying the new high price dont know about the noise of construction until they arrive and see a sign on the door. just not cool. All else was great, service was superb. And suggested to put the menu in the restaurant in MMR Kyat, why use USD when it fluctuates. Ok for Americans but nobody else, too many conversions and calculations have to be made until it's confusing, especially your check out bill, in Kyat and USD all mixed up. Another way for the hotel to profit at the customers surprise. I will be aware of these things next time.

My best stay in Maynmar and I would confidently say that it is a home away from home. From the watermelon juice served upon my arrival to the dinner offered by the owner, I was well taken care of while I was staying in Bamboo Place. The guesthouse is new and the rooms are clean and big. The owner also allowed me to take a bathe before I left for the airport although I had checked out hours earlier. The breakfast served was fantastic. I had toast, egg, coffee and tea on the first day. Most important, there was NUTELLA! Coffee and tea were also free flow thoughout the day. On the second day, the staff kindly served me local noodle salad as I requested for something Burmese. The breakfast was also special as it was served at the cost bamboo hut. I had the chance to mingle around with other guests during breakfast. the internet connection at the guesthouse was also the best out of the other guesthouses I visited in Myanmar. The speed is surely not as fast as the one back at home, but it is Myanmar and the standard was exceptional for the country. I was able to load some videos as well and check emails easily. The owner was also nice to assist me in booking domestic air tickets at no additional charges. Everything was so well taken care of that I felt like In was at home. The stay was surely worth more than the price I paid for. The service provided was way beyond my expectation. A wonderful way to end my trip in Myanmar.
