Where to stay in Kampot City Center
Kampot City Center hotels & accommodations

Hey, I had a lovely time at Villa Vedici, this hotel is so amazing so stay and relax some few days or weeks. Wifi does work really well. You can do some kayak on the river, watch the sunset on a cruise or just infront the river at the hotel. The staff is just amazing, so friendly and helpfull. The pool is also nice and the bar is the place to be during day and night. ...

This was the second/remaining hotel booked in Kampot. My fiancée and I were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The prior night we stayed at a Resort/Coral Bay hotel, that hotel was a completely opposite of this Hotel FIve S. The staff, Kosal, at Five S was very friendly with excellent customer service. He greeted us, provided a welcome drink and explained the area to ...

Just stayed here for a weekend during low season with my girlfriend. It's one of the most expensive hotels in Kampot but it was worth the money. We stayed in the premium room on the 5th floor and it was very well done. There were windows on three sides of the room and a small balcony which gave wonderful views of Bokur Mountain. The bathroom was spotless and well d...

We are a group of 7 with booking of 3 rooms at MAKK hotel for two nights. The hotel is well located with kampot river across the road, you can just sit comfortably in the hotel rest area with a cup of coffee enjoying kampot river's sunset view. Rooms are of good size, clean and nicely decorated. Facilities are adequate with wifi works well throughout. We took day tou...

Good value accommodation in a great location in Kampot town, 1 block from the river and lots of restaurants and cafes around. Large comfortable room, relatively basic facilities but good for the price, and the pool is a real bonus - quite small but great to have a chance for a dip, not many hotels in Kampot have pools. Staff were helpful and sorted out a couple of is...

Very nice reasonably priced on the river road in Kampot. The hotel is very clean and open. Have a wonderful lobby area to enjoy a beverage and watch the activity on the river. Rooms were clean and spacious. The included breakfast was cooked to order. Probably one of the nicest places in Kampot.

The welcome was very warm and we felt home as soon as we arrived. The host is extremely helpful und friendly. We rented a motor bike from him and he did everything to organise helmets, which fitted my husbands 'larger' head. Although we had a ground floor room, which looked a bit dark at the beginning we felt very comfortable during our 2 days stay. The room was large ...

Our stay was really comfortable in this hotel. It was just in perfect location to go around Kampot city to riverside and restaurants. Nice artistic decoration made the atmosphere special. Staff was very helpful, room clean and spacious including safety box and air-condition and fan. Overall a very good stay and if we come back, sure to stay in this hotel. We recommmen...

My girlfriend and I traveled through Cambodia for a month through Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville and Kampot. Mea Culpa is by far the best accommodations we've stayed at. Their service here stands out more than other accommodations. We were greeted with a smile every time we speak with them. The area of the hotel is very relaxing. Great for just sitting and havi...

We stayed for two nights at Pippali Boutique Hotel and it was the perfect choice for us. Not too far from the center of Kampot (you can nicely walk along the river), rather new and a super pool area. Also the dinner we had at their restaurant was great and staff and owner were very friendly!

Spend a night there, the room was great, clean, with classic wooden theme. The bungalow which I stayed was designed to look like typical Cambodian house. This resort is newly built and it’s located next to Kampot river which is also great to relax and enjoy seeing sunset in the evening. Overall, I had a good stay there.

We took a risk with this booking as there were no reviews, and so glad we did. This is a brand new small place with several bungalows. We stayed directly on the river front. Bathroom was clean with a good shower. Bed was clean and comfortable. Not a vast amount of space but enough for us. Lovely small decking area to chill on the river, with your own steps leading down...

We booked this as a last minute option as our plans changed, it is good value for money and in a good location, with a lovely swimming pool. The rooms are brand new and comfortable with nice balconies. However the hotel is a bit of a strange place, the regular guests seem to be mostly "sexpats" and their treatment of the girls who work there was pretty embarrasing. The...

A very nice hotel, newly built and tastefully decorated, complete with blue buddha statue and goldfish pond in the garden. The rooms are huge, so large you could have yoga classes inside of them. For this price range you will not find a better hotel in Kampot. One of the guys working at reception, his name is Wat, was very kind to take me on his scooter early one morni...

A stay at Champa Lodge is a truly relaxing and highly enjoyable experience. The location, a short 5-10 minute ride from the main Kampot city, but nestled right on the river in a very natural, jungle-garden setting, is ideal. The rooms are fantastic, and the fact that it is a smaller lodge with only a few rooms keeps things relatively quiet and intimate. I've stayed...

For the price the room was pretty nice. We first booked one night and in the end we stayed for 4 nights. Sadly we had a lot of rain during our stay in Kampot, but the room was perfect to relax inside and the wifi was pretty good. It is a bit out of the city center but you can rent a scooter for 5$ a day. There is no restaurant but we good free fruits and coffee in th...

We loved Good Morning Kampot, after staying in some not so clean places without hot water for a while it was a nice change to find a clean, spacious room. The staff are very friendly, even the owner of the hotel came to speak to us in the rooftop bar. The location is great it’s right on the river front and close to the town centre. You can watch the sunset from...

We stayed here for 3 nights towards the end of our trip, really wished we could stay for longer. Kampot is such a nice town, Sabay beach was about 1.5km out of town on a bumpy road. The facilities are awesome, we stayed in the beach bungalow, overlooking the river. They had a cool restaurant which was kind of a treehouse, had amazing views overlooking the river. Th...

We loved our stay here. Be aware that you are pretty far from the city center so you will constantly need tuktuks or a scooter to get around. Our room was perfect, just like the pictures. A riverside room with a ladder down to the river and an amazing hammock to watch the sunset over the mountains. We nooked this place to get away from the noise as we have been t...

This is a lovely old French colonial hotel, great atmosphere, front rooms have lovely view over the river and mountain. Great food, friendly and helpful staff. A little noisy because of karaoke across the river but it shuts down early, like most of Kampot. Like Kampot, it has huge character, feels like time has passed it by.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay and would have been happy to stay longer. Cedric the host was excellent and extremely helpful and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was fabulous. We stayed in the family room in the loft which was very spacious, extremely clean and perfect for our family. It was also excellent value for money. We woukd highly recommed auberge...

A great hotel in a quiet street, only 5 minutes walk to the river. The rooms are a good size, table, chair, tv & fridge, decent wifi, nice bathroom & hot shower. A western style supermarket is only about 100 metres away at the end of the street. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful and were a delight to hangout with. For this pri...

Had a fantastic stay here, and didn't want to leave. I heard about this from Nomadic Matt so I booked for a couple of nights, but I kept extending my stay because the town of Kampot and this hostel were so great. I eventually had to move on because they were completely booked, and I didn't want to risk a bad hostel experience by moving someplace else, so I left town re...

Our stay at Mr. Lengs place was memorable. Mr. Leng and his family were very warm and welcoming. Not only they provided us with great recommendations, but Mr. Leng also rescued us when our motorbike wasn't starting in the middle of nowhere. He came very quickly, and arranged a new bike for us. The next day he accompanied us to bargain the price to fix the bike. You co...
Cheap places to stay in Kampot City Center

We planned to stay in Kampot for a day or two, and just booked our 4th night here. The location is a 3 minute moped ride (rentals available here) to the center of town, or 10 minutes walking thanks to the old bridge. Quite, fun, relaxed atmosphere with the best food this side of the river. Pool table is a great pass-time, fast wifi, deck/chairs over the river looking a...

Close to everything in Kampot but still quiet as the bar (with quiet music) closes at midnight. Super friendly staff. Although not all of them spoke a lot of English we had no trouble communicating what we needed. Food and drinks were good for a reasonable price, the rooftop terrace was our favorite spot to hang out and meet other travelers when it rained a lot. The ro...

Whilst the resort is a little way out of Kampot (20 min Tuk Tuk) we absolutely loved it here. It's the epitome of what Kampot is about, relaxing with good people in nice surroundings. The staff are very friendly, the food is great and cheap, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is a quirky natural pool which organically cleans itself. It's quite dis...

Really happy staying here - a great value for clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower and air con! Very friendly, helpful family running the guesthouse. Rented a scooter for $5. Central Kampot is also very walkable and the location was great - away from bars so nice and quiet. Took our scooter one day to Kep for crab market and visited a pepper farm (sothy’s) - both gr...

First, it was extremely hard to find the hotel. Neither Google nor Agoda could give us the right adress: the guesthouse is located on same road than Diamond Hotel of Kampot, on Google you may find it close to Hotel "Sambo Leap Guesthouse". Room was OK: clean with confortable beds, this is what we were desiring the most; although the entire place seemed to be still "und...

This was my 3rd trip to Kampot and this is the best place i've stayed. It's a new hotel with big rooms. Super good value and quiet at night. Staff are amazing, even moving a table in from reception so I could work. Jimmi rode me to the store loads of times and kept me entertained with his great singing. This really is an undiscovered gem, I think because people think t...

Hotel staff friendly upon arrival but during our stay the staff was often impolite for no apparent reason. My daughter got our room number wrong and the employee openly laughed and made fun of her to other employees. There are Tuk Tuks parked outside of hotel which is convenient. The drivers become rude and belligerent if you turn down their services regardless of how ...

Loved this hotel so much, prompted me to write my first review after being SE Asia for 3 months. We booked for one night, ended up staying for 5. The rooms are spacious, very clean, have comfortable beds, nice flat screen television, powerful shower, effective air conditioning and dimmable lighting for the evenings. Everything you need to unwind after a busy day in kam...

Located right on the river, Samon Village is a great place to chill out. The bamboo huts are hidden in banana trees, the bar juts out over the river, and the communal bathrooms are very clean and well kept. Samon wants to educate his travellers and the locals of Kampot on Khmer culture. Once a week there is a traditional Khmer communal meal held at Samon Village which ...

Very beautiful new building, I think it's the second and newer house run by this friendly family. Located in a quiet side street and very close to the market (not the reopened Old Market by the river, but a big market at the northern end of the city center). Our room was clean and cosy, had a nice bathroom, closet, fridge, table, fan and very strong modern AC. The hall...

Stayed here a few months ago but forgot to review. The value for money for this place was Amazing!! So clean and looked brand new. Needed a ped to get around as the location wasn't great but a fantastic place to stay. Could rent less from the hotel. Owners couldn't speak much English but was always happy to try and help. Would definitely return.

The room was very big and initially clean, but we stayed for several nights and they only came and serviced the room once when we asked them to. Room without AC gets really stuffy and sheets get humid. A little far from the city center, but close enough to walk. Price was decent.

Lovely place. Restaurant has a super chill atmosphere and nice views over the river, serving good breakfast for a decent price. Bungalows come with musquito net and fan. Everything is very clean. Good internet. Friendly hosts. An extra bathroom (or just a toilet toilet) would be nice. Not too far from the city, cheap bicycles are for rent and you'll be in Kampot in 5 m...

The hotel is newly built/refurbished and the decor was of a modern-standard. The room was reasonably spacious, clean and well-decorated too. The front of house staff were very friendly which enhanced our, already enjoyable, stay in Kampot. The bathroom/wetroom was decorated to a good standard but the water did not drain off properly, leaving standing water that sometim...

Nice little place with friendly staff and a great bar and places to chill out. It's a bit out of the way (a 2 dollar tuk tuk ride from Kampot), but it is very chilled, and Dave is very helpful and always up for a beer. You'll probably get to have a fresh coconut whilst you're there, and see it get plucked from a tree on site. Don't expect luxury, but for the price it's...

I chose this new hotel in Kampot based on Agoda reviews and was not disappointed. The location is just off of the Durian roundabout, within easy walking distance to the river front area. There is a mini market nearby and a café just across the street for excellent Cambodian coffee. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my needs, includ...

Awesome! We were supposed to stay just for 1 night and in the end we stayed for three! The place is amazing, super comfy and it feels like home! The 2 hosts are incredibly nice and welcoming!! Kampot Guesthouse is the best budget hotel in Kampot, recommended for small groups or families. The pool is sparkling, crystal clear, and well maintained. The bar and restaurant menu are limited, they do serve cold draft beer in the bar area which looks like a cool little Tiki bar. The rooms are average, dimly lit, and could use a makeover. We enjoyed our stay at Kamp...
