A Wonderful Get Away”
We spent three nights here and loved every minute. Facilities are well maintained, beautiful landscaping, quiet, very comfortable. We had a driver so it was no problem for us to get to the various sites, get hot, tired and dusty, and then return to our fabulous lodgings. Staff were very friendly, seemed to enjoy their jobs. Breakfast, which is included, was delicious and filling, and a nice change from the usual Asian hotel breakfast buffet. We ate two out of three dinners, and two out of three lunches there as well. We did have a few meals in Hpa An, which were OK and not very expensive. But the quality and choice of food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Yes, the prices are higher than most Myanmar restaurants. But cheaper than what you would pay for comparable food in the west. And presumably most folks who stay here can afford those higher prices anyway. The quality of the food is well worth it.

A Unique Myanmar Experience”
The hotel, situated at the bottom of a mountain, and surrounded by the wonders of Nature, make for a truly memorable Myanmar visit. The rooms are immaculate, the pace of life slow and tranquil, and the staff extremely friendly, courteous and attentive to every detail without being in anyway intrusive. Leila, Paul and the staff provided impeccable service, as someone who loves plants I had some unusual requests, all taken care of as though they had done them on a regular basis. I cannot recommend Hpa-An Lodge highly enough. Quiet simply, an awesome experience, and one that will stay in my memory. Oh, and the swimming pool which has been thoughtfully designed, although not big, with the views around feels more like swimming in a lake.

Exceptional”
We loved our stay. The views from the location were beautiful. The property was well kept and staff was friendly. The pool was more for lounging than swimming. The small pool wasn't a problem because our kids are young and there were not other guests. The rooms were comfortable and had lots of natural light and views. Breakfast was delicious and well worth it. The other meals were good but not worth the price. The city of Hpa-An has food, sights, and wonderful people for those that want to venture beyond the retreat of the hotel itself. There are rivers, caves, and climbing/hiking nearby as well. Having your own transportation is helpful because taxis were not readily available.

Sanctuary In The Mountains”
From the genuine welcome to the walk to my car and waves goodbye, this was a highlight of my trip to Myanmar. Istayed in the Sky Dome, cannot recommend enough! A hot rain shower under the stars... Magnificent. The sun sneaking over the mountain shedding light on the tree lined walkway to the restaurant for breakfast... geese at the little waterfall, bountiful vegetables gardens, and the mountains rising up to your left and right... Delicious food, a pool shimmering and offering respite from a warm day... but above and beyond? The staff. Generous and genuine, caring and considerate... you feel embraced and so utterly welcomed to this retreat. Even the General Manager popped over to say hello and suggested a place to visit which was MY favorite stop in Hpa-An (boat ride through a dark cave). Adore this place, thank you to the team... from reception to the kitchen to the cleaners and gardeners. I shall return in the wet season one day, for now... I can not recommend you guys enough

The most amazing cottage I've ever stayed in”
Before planning my stay at Hpa-An Lodge, I was not just recommended but *strongly* encouraged by 3 different groups of people to stay here. I was in no way disappointed. Hands down the most beautiful cottage I've ever stayed in -- spacious patio, giant shower, and a huge comfy bed that looks out into the green landscape. My cottage was positioned next to a little pond and waterfall where I could hear ducks in the morning and frogs at night. The swimming pool, positioned between dramatic limestone cliffs, has now become my dream swimming pool. I felt like I was the only person staying here during my visit, it was incredibly peaceful and serene. Nightly turndown service and an amazing breakfast spread were the icing on the cake. By far my favorite city and accommodation I've stayed at in Myanmar.

A great, comfortable & relaxing stay in Hpa an”
We had an amazing stay in this brand new lodge, located in a very quiet area close to Hpa an, next to the tallest mountain in the area (Mt Zwegabin) and in the middle of all attractions. The bungalows - traditional Karen houses - were very comfortable, made of very beautiful wood. The restaurant has a fairly priced, sophisticated menu and the service was great. The swimming pool area was very relaxing and well furnished. The staff had been very helpful to help renting a motorbike, prioritize where to go and what to see as well as all other logistics.

Great boutique style hotel”
Everything in this hotel is great . The food, the staff and the facilities are perfect. The best hotel in Hpa-An. The location is a few kilometers out of town at the foot of Mount Zwekabin, That's why we chose to always have dinner in the hotel and we did not regret it, the food was delicious . This is also true for breakfast. The best breakfast we ever had. The rooms are beautiful and there's a nice pool. Everything is looked after with great care.

Beautiful bungalows in a fantastic nature landscap”
It's was a treat to stay there, as the resort is really beautiful, in a breathtaking nature outside from Hpa-An. With taxi it takes about 15 minutes to get there and around the resort is not much than nature. Breakfast was ok (no buffet), for dinner we stayed due to lack of opportunities around and paid way too much but food was decent. WiFi is pretty ok for Myanmar standard and reception everywhere. Friendly staff, super clean, great service. The room/ bungalow is big, high ceiling, with a big nice bathroom and a fantastic lounge on the veranda of each bungalow.

Superb location”
This is a very special place. The lodges are spacious and well designed, set in lovely grounds in an awesome location. Only the dining area was less than perfect, being in need of redecorating and home to ants and other insects. The menu was sound but limited though the food was well prepared and service was good. We have a very comfortable stay.

Gorgeous villas with sadly bad food”
We stayed for one day/night and had a wonderful time in those truly fantastic villas! Quiet, serene, lush gardens, beautiful wooden structures, exceptionally friendly staff with 'okay' English. As perfect as it gets in Myanmar! Sadly, the food was very disappointing. Maybe the meat dishes were better, but as vegetarians we ate our way through almost every available dish and just gave up during dinner. If the food was as much of an oasis as this place is, I would love to come back over a weekend here and there.

Wonderful Hotel at the foot of the mountain”
The hotel was excellent and the level of service was some of the best we've found in Myanmar (having lived here for two years and travelled pretty widely). Would definitely recommend staying in this lodge hotel which has excellent views of Zwekabin Mountain from all of the rooms. The bicycles available for rent were superb quality, the small swimming pool was good for a splash around and the climb up the mountain was extremely rewarding with stunning views for miles.

Lovely - but overall - not worth it”
For the premium you pay compared to other places, it simply isn't worth it. The pool is great, but not large, and the rooms are nice, but this is to be expected with the price. We had a busy weekend, so didn't spend too much time at the Lodge - so perhaps I felt I didn't get the most out of these features. However, aside from the pool, it is pretty standard stuff. Additionally, the staff were not very helpful when it came to organising getting around to various sites, and we were consistently hit-up for additional charges. Overall, the place is nice, but it is not worth the price.

Regarding the additional charges, it is common in the industry, to add an early check in fee, when guests request an arrival at 3.00 am the night before their booking. Most hotels would charge an extra night for this service, which we've decided not to. Not always but often, hotels also add a fee for a third adult staying in a room booked for two. In order to try to keep you satisfied we have requested you to pay this fee only for one night. Upon check out, you've asked how to reach the bus station, by motorbike. The night receptionist, who was finishing his shift offered to show you the way and guide you there before going home. You've refused his offer. Any other person working at the lodge would have done the same so, we are a bit disappointed to read that you did not find the staff helpful. Sky dome ‘windows’ need a lot more thorough cleaning for the price they charge. Not exactly spotless. Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience. Loved no tv policy.
