I rarely give fewer than five stars, and I almost never leave bad reviews, but I feel the need to provide some feedback and constructive criticism for this hotel. I booked a room through the Agoda platform two months ago, made the payment immediately, and agreed to and adhered to the no-cancellation policy, and I received the booking confirmation right away. Following that, I sent a message to the hotel through the same platform to request an early check-in and inform them of my arrival at 1:00 PM, but I received no response from the hotel until my arrival time. I arrived at the hotel at 1:00 PM, and they said my room was being cleaned, and after completing the check-in process, they asked me to come back one hour later. I extended my wait and returned two hours later at 3:00 PM as per their specified check-in time, but my room was still not ready, and I was asked to wait another 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes, I returned to the front office and they gave me the room key, but just as I was leaving the desk, I was called back and asked for my key again, then told to wait another 20 minutes because my room was still not ready? What does this mean? I patiently waited again, even though I made a small protest to the front office staff, who only replied that they were fully booked that day and the cleaning staff had not finished. At precisely 4:00 PM, we finally received our keys, even though there were many guests in front of us who had just completed the check-in process after us and received their room keys immediately. I don't know if this is an issue related to our race or citizenship? Perhaps they indeed have a limited number of rooms for each type, but it would be better if they prioritized the readiness of rooms for those who checked in first; we checked in at 1:00 PM and only received our room keys at 4:00 PM. I am a platinum VIP Agoda customer, and this is the first time I have encountered such a check-in process. I hope this hotel can improve in the future so they can maintain the awards they have received.
