Absolutely Superb”

Having stayed at many hotels on my regular visits to Siem Reap, this trip I discovered the recently opened Koulen Hotel and will definitely stay here again in the future. Everything about the hotel was just perfect. Rooms were beautifully appointed, quiet, modern and spacious; the food was delicious both in the restaurant and through room service; and the staff were just amazing. They were helpful, friendly and had a good knowlesde about where to go and what to do while visiting Siem Reap. Excellent location less than 10 minutes walk to Pub Street area and also easy to get to the airport or the temples without all the traffic hassles and congestion being in the centre of town. I'll be back again next month and will definitely be staying here again :)

I was greeted by Tan, the front office staff, and a driver at Siem Reap International airport with great smiles and attentive care. The entire stay at Koulen Hotel is at its BEST - all staff members are kind and caring. It makes you feel like you are in your 2nd or 3rd home (if you have more than 2 homes) when you are away from your first home. Love it and Koulen is located in the heart of Siem Reap as well. Perfect place to stay with family and easily access to nearby area on foot”

We had spent 6 days in Siem Reap exploring Angkor Wat and surrounding area with 3 older kids age 11-12. We stayed in 2 bedrooms unit which was very spacious and clean. We were welcome since arriving till leaving. Ellie (guest relation manager) and all the staffs are very friendly and helpful. We arranged all our tour thru the hotel. Their drivers and tuk tuk drivers are very good and friendly. Ellie's recommendations for the tour, bike tour, and activities were excellent. The breakfast spread were plenty and well spread. We would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and if we are going back, we will surely revisit the hotel again. Thank you for making our holiday in Siem Reap a wonderful experience.

Spacious Room, Friendly Staff & Great Location”

The staff at Koulen are super friendly and helpful... they even had our names memorized to greet us when coming and going. Their driver who picked us up from the airport (in an SUV w/ AC) was on-time and easy to find. The room was spacious and clean and the AC worked great. The kitchen had a full size fridge, microwave, toaster and stove top which was great but otherwise it was not very well stocked with utensils. It would also have been nice if there was a small table to eat at. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic. The nightly turn down service was a nice touch as well. Location is very central and safe and there's always a tuk tuk waiting out front. There is a grocery store in walking distance just a couple blocks away and a new shopping/dining complex across the street. We stayed 5nights and really enjoyed it as a base for exploring Siem Reap & of course visiting the temples- would recommend- great location and value!

The hotel is very new! Beautiful people too specially Thida, Tith, nate, song, ellie, Takako and the driver Mr. Lee thank you and really nice talking to you all guys! Big plus about this hotel is the room is so huge i cant compare to other hotels at Siem Reap, Ambience so great! What i like the most is the pool area with small bar. Location is walkable to Pub Street market. But if you lazy to walk 2$ for tuktuk! Also newly open mall and Zandro shop must see haha for shopping just few step to the hotel. Stayed at Koulen with a group of friends after another Cambodia expat friend raved about her stay there. Staff were super friendly and easy to communicate with. We were booked into two separate, twin/double bed rooms. On arrival they asked if we'd be ok to be put into a 3bedroom.suite together instead, an upgrade at the same price - and we were THRILLED with it. The suite was massive, incredibly comfortable and allowed our group to have a living room to hang out in. Swimming pool was fantastic too - has two little "hot" tubs attached which was much appreciated after we took part in the Angkor Wat 10k. Kid-friendly too (one of our friends had her children with her), location is fantastic so we could walk to pub st if we wanted, or take a passapp tuktuk. Breakfast was a good spread, included omlette station, a noodle station, and waffles. Fantastic overall, we absolutely loved it and we will definitely be back. Thank you Koulen hotel!

We had the most lovely stay at the Koulen Hotel. From the moment we walked in the staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was beautiful and spacious with a lovely bathroom and large shower. The pool was beautiful and we received special service every step of the way - they even packed us a breakfast box to go for our early morning at Angkor Wat. This hotel was such an expected treat. We would highly recommend it.

Amazing stay”

We traveled with kids ages: 6, 4 and 8 months. The staff always went way and beyond from helping carry stuff, arrange birthday cakes and answering any questions. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family! The kitchen and living room made it feel like home. The pool was incredible. There is a nice shopping center being built right next door with a kids play place. We highly recommend Koulen Hotel to all fellow travelers, especially those with kids.

Great location, friendly staff, huge rooms (2 bedroom apartment)”

My wife and I, along with our 3 children, stayed for 3 nights at the Koulen. The immediate feedback is that the staff of the hotel are really attentive and helpful. They constantly sought our feedback, and asked if we needed help with restaurant bookings, transportation or information. The 2 bedroom apartment we got was huge. In fact, we thought that the living room was too big. The kitchen was basic, but met our requirements. Bathrooms were also huge, but maybe just a bit dark. An area for improvement is the extra bed that we got. It was small, and the mattress was very thin and slightly hard. In terms of the hotel facilities, the pool was nice. The small heated plunge pool was a nice touch. Breakfast was adequate, although the choices were limited. Would be nice to have more non-pork dishes. Overall, nice hotel, with great staff and attentive service.

I and my family very happy stay in this hotel. The room is spacious and very clean. Most important the bed is very comfort. All the staff in Koulen Hotel are very caring and friendly. They always ready to assist us. Thank you very much for their surprise on my birthday day. They were prepared a birthday cake for me when i and my family in swimming pool.

A central location in Siem Reap”

Koulen Hotel is centrally located and an oasis after a long day exploring the temples of Angkor. It’s also close to all the bars and restaurants if you are into going out at night. The staff are very attentive and the facilities including the pool and gym are excellent.

We had a wonderful 5 nights at koulen. The hotel is quite new. Across the hotel is heritage mall. Lucky mall is a few steps away for groceries. we stayed on the 3rd floor, we got the view facing the pool. the unit was spacious and clean. Room was clean twice a day. We took the angkor tours from the hotel. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is the first time we check-in an independent brand hotel and enjoys an over-5-star service! It's a very pleasing memory! My daughter was sick and turned our last 2 days into a medical touring =3=, hotel's staff also gave us a great choice on picking hospital. One tiny improvement that I think Koulen could do is invested a water clean equipment to improve water condition in swim pool. That will be a very wise investment indeed!

Good hotel that will be great”

When we arrived to the hotel and taken to our room I noticed it was not the type of room I had originally book according to pictures on here. Our living room and kitchen area was shared with two other rooms and not what we booked. After the long trip I was tired and really didn’t want any issues with front desk but went down any way because I didn’t want my small kids to be in this situation. I brought it to managements attention and he explained the person in our room had become sick and extended their stay. He worked greatly to help my family and I remain comfortable for the evening and moved us to a room the next day that opened up. I have to admit I was very impressed by management and MORE importantly the staff. Everyone greeted us when we walked by. Staff came around and struck up conversations with us while waiting for food or waiting on transportation and it seemed genuine, I believe they want to know their customers comfort levels and fix any issues you may have in a prompt and professional manor. Also I met staff from a few different regions of the world some from Japan, Italy, & Philippines to name a few, so translators are there if you would prefer that language. Location is perfect. 5-10 minute walk to downtown/touristy restaurants bars and shopping or 2 minutes on tuk tuk and down the street from a Starbucks if you“just have to get some”. To get to Angkor Wat it was about 15 minutes in tuk tuk. Price for quality is way undervalued at the moment. Once this place is found by more travelers bookings will be harder to come by and prices will go up due to demand. I highly recommend staying here. Perfect for all types of travelers.

Fine hotel in Siem Reap”

This hotel was clean, friendly staff, good pool, and the buffet breakfast was fine. I didn't like the room arrangements where 4-5 rooms share one living room, you had to enter 2 doors just to get in your room. I also would have preferred our own living room area instead of sharing with 4-5 other rooms. The location required a taxi to go anywhere, the staff was very friendly and helpful. If ever I visit Siem Reap again I would look for other hotel options.
