Perfect place to recharge”
I ended up spending two weeks on Cat Ba Island and a huge reason why is because this hostel was the ideal place to stay for a while and recharge before resuming my travels. Delicious breakfast buffets every morning, waking up to the ocean waves lapping over the rocks, several decks and balconies for reading or relaxing, stunning beaches a few minutes walk up the road and town and all the restaurants a few minutes the other way. Easy to meet other travelers in the dorm room. Lovely, professional staff. Rooms were cleaned extensively around the same time each day. Would 10/10 recommend!

Awesome Hostel”
The dorm is very clean and there are 2 bathrooms for only 6 people which is very nice. It's located a bit outside tge town, so you have to walk for 10 minutes. You have a nice view from the restaurant, tge breakfast is average. If you want to grab some drinks, you have to go into the city, because the histel bar closes at 10pm, but I think that's normal on this island. I would book this hostel again.

Exceptional”
We had a deluxe double and were very happy with our choice. An extraordinary view, very clean rooms, soft beds. The breakfast was good, also the menu of the restaurant. The location is apart from the town (and we were happy about the quiet place), in 5 minutes walk you have an incredible beach. We also booked two tours - kayaking and a tour to monkey island, both was well organized. The only thing we didn't like we're some rats on the territory, which is awful on itself, and some animals upon the roof, so I had to sleep with ear plugs.

The place is a few hundred meters out of the downtown area, almost an escape , overlooking the beautiful ocean , the Fisher houses and the city . The staff there was amazingly friendly, helpful and making our stay smooth. the top bungalows are what they see , small bungalows that give enough space for two people and a very comfortable bed, a fridge , a hanger for your cloth. you wont regret staying at Lepont .

Exeptional location with all the facilities you need”
This has been one of the best locations to stay during our trip. + wonderful location, walk away from town with stuning views + best place for a sunset view, honestly + friendly staff + great place to get a tour, rent a bike, get a transfer - spent a night not in a bangalow, but normal double room and unfortunately it’s quite sad comparing to a bangalow.

Good location with exceptional views of bay”
We were a group of 4 (2 married couples) staying in 2 bungalows. The views over the bay was fantastic, rooms were spacious and clean with functional aircon and fan. Mosquito nets need some serious attention though - full of holes and dirty. The resort definitely realizes that the view from their property is their key selling feature - and they do very well to make optimal use of this with lookout points, rooftop deck chairs and tables. Easy to rent motorcycles and 3$/kg for laundry makes this resort a good place from which to explore the island (which we did on motorcycles). If I had to fault one thing - the linen is old and tatty. Otherwise great stay.

This place was great and in the perfect location. Our only issue was one morning the staff woke us up at 6am blaring VERY load dance hall music, which was extremely annoying.

Don’t book tours or motorbikes with this hostel/hotel”
We recently chose the deluxe family room with private balcony. First NOT a private balcony. Every night we hoped we’d see the beautiful sunset, but alas , every night someone would be sitting directly In front of our door Chain smoking. We booked the tour with le PONT DONT DO THIS. The expensive tour involved no explanations of what and where we were. You get to monkey island where extremely rude staff have trained the monkeys to steal cell phones. When we tried to grab the phone on our own the rudest staff where you buy sodas and bananas, said they would get the phone ‘no problem’. After they got the phone (we could literally see where the Monkey left the phone) guy got it easy-he came back & threatened us and ran away and demanding I pay him 1,000,000 dong. The entire time our boat and ‘guide’ wasn’t there. Each Island they stopped at, they left guests. Le PONT did nothing. Great location but clueless staff and amenities. Also they tried to rent us a motorbike w/ no breaks.

No better location in Cat Bai”
While overall a positive stay, one particular gripe was how loud the music from the bar was. On both evenings' of my stay the music was barring into the small hours of the morning which really doesn't bode well for sleep. This also masked the great humdrum of the bay. Otherwise the place is fantastic!

Very good”
It’s the view that makes it a special place. We had the delux double room with an amazing view over the bay. It’s located on a quiet hill close to the Main Street so it’s a good place for relaxing. Everything else about this stay is a bit mediocre and the beds are quite hard. All and all fine
