"Only 5min by Scooter and you are in the centre of Mawlamyine. So not far away. The Deluxe Bungalow is worth the extra money, such a lovely room. Wonderful design. I loved to stay there. And when you walk into the garden it’s like entering a fairytale scenery. So beautiful with all the flowers, paperbirds - need to learn how to create them. - and so much more. Nice staff. Clean. Great breakfast. Good choice to stay here "

"A great place to stay at in Mawlamyine, good WiFi, clean rooms, next to the bus station and down the street from the train station. The best value for your money that I found in Myanmar with exceptional service as well. A little far from downtown but there isn't much to do there anyways. "

"The Mawlamyine Strand Hotel was the most expensive place I lodged while in Myanmar for 24 days. I decided to splurge for one night near the end of my trip at a place that looked to offer superior comfort and cleanliness. I was not disappointed in these areas. The room was clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable of all the places I stayed in Myanmar. The bathroom was clean for the most part, but like every place I stayed the shower had some slight mold and the fixtures looked unclean. Despite the shower enclosure, the shower water leaked into the rest of the bathroom. The shower stall needed a thorough cleaning and better fixtures to be up to international standards. The food and cocktails were not exceptional. I suggest seeking out food and drinks elsewhere. The staff was very attentive and kind, but English is not spoken other than at reception. So the bar and restaurant staff struggled with questions about food, etc. I did enjoy watching the sunset from the outdoor bar and then going up to the hallway outside my room to watch the final sunset colors fade over the water. "The location is perfect but it’s the personal the best! I didn’t book anything and I went to the travel agency the didn’t do nothing for me, not commercial at all. I explained this to the personnel and they hooked for me a driver to do a trek around Mawlamyine and booked my bus ticket and the taxi ! You don’t need a guide to discover around Mawlamyine and I will recommend the driver of the Cinderella hotel. He’s so nice, Very generous ! So I will recommend this hotel in 100% ! "

"We finished our three week long trip in Myanmar with a couple of nights at the Attran Hotel in Mawlamyine. Attran Hotel has a prime location right next to the river. Our room was large and well maintained with a new air conditioning, the bathroom had new wall tiles and new sanitary ware with design taps. The restaurant was very good. It also had a large outdoor veranda where dinner or a beer could be enjoyed with river views watching sunset. The hotel has a new dedicated management since half a year back. The service kept a trim that you usually only find in more expensive hotels. We had a pleasant stay at the Attran Hotel. A very affordable hotel."

"The basic rooms are tiny, with not much more space than what the bed occupies. The linen appeared not to have been washed in between guests and had bugs, though seems like they weren't bed bugs as there were no bites. The staff was okay, no problems. You do need to leave the key when you go out and they close the doors around 10:30pm, though this is okay as there is really not much to do in Mawlamyine. Great location, right on the sea. "

"Mawlamyine is seriously lacking in accommodation options. If you can't get a room at the Cinderella, I'd consider this to be the next best option. It's a bit farther from the main part of town (about 20 minutes walking) but it's a nice walk along the river or cheap motorcycle taxi ride. My room was huge, strong air conditioning, and I was satisfied with the western bathroom (at the time I was the only one using it). NO WIFI. "

"I wonder what people complain about. It's not the Hilton but I didn't pay for this kind of service either. Pros: - Didn't have to ask for breakfast, it was served both days and was delicious and in big portions - Cheap - Next to the train station and pagodas' hill (perfect to enjoy the sunset); shops and street food across the street - The staff would do their best to help Cons - no wifi but who cares? With telenor you get a SIM card for 1500 kyats and an internet plan of 2Gb for 6000 kyats! Worth going to smaller hotels for the rest of your trip - no window in the room so it was hotter in this tiny 1-person bedroom than outside (the only downside as far as I'm concerned) - Far from the city centre, night market, etc. but it's nothing special anyway I recommend this place and I would go again!"

"The hotel has everything in order, but we didn't stay there for another night. The room, although big was kind of a cage; had a huge window in the room but no way to open i, just the glass. Most of the time we felt like being under a heavy surveillance of the staff - don't know if it was their way of showing how they care about us, or were they just concerned that we'd steal a napkin from the restaurant. All the comments about the hotel being far away from everything - we do not agree with them, as there are many local shops and bars in a 5 min walking distance. In other words: we liked the location. Next day we moved to the hotel next door which was cheaper, far more pleasant (no surveillance), had better breakfast and a swimming pool, but you couldn't book it on Agoda."
