"Some highlights of my worst experience with this hotel 1. Location details - booking shows its in Inya Lake which is wrong as the address is little far from the lake. This results to confusion and took me 2 hours before reaching the hotel as its new and the hotel is not yet known to taxi drivers. 2. Room condition - the room provided to me is beside the on-going construction and its too noisy. However, the room is clean, new, nice and relaxing aside from the lightning, which is too dark and inconvenient when reading 3. Malfunctioning Elevator - I reached the hotel past mid night and both elevators are not functioning due to some maintenance or they are saving electricity. They asked me to take the stairs, which I found it dangerous as the steps are small and there are no braces to protect you from falling 4. Malfunctioning Elevator, again - Next morning, I took the elevator and got lock-up for few minutes. The elevator keeps on resetting and it was scary inside as no control is functioning. After few minutes the door opened and was able to get out. I took the unsafe stairs again 5. Eating my breakfast - Due to I was lock-up inside the elevator, I arrived few minutes late to the restaurant as they close breakfast at 9:30am. I wasnt given a chance to grab some meal even though the food is still there and available 6. Cancel the rest of my booking - I went to front desk right away after all these incidents and decided to cancel the rest of my booking. In spite of bad experience, I'm still delightful with the staff concern, friendliness, attentiveness and help. Im not saying that I will no longer stay on this hotel but hopefully the service would be better on my next visit. Yangon is nothing new to me. I been to the worst and best hotel in town but this experience definitely put the hotel at the bottom of my list. I challenge the management to improve the service and its commitment to deliver nothing but the best to its customers. Good luck and cheers to all the staff"

"This was such a pleasant change after my 4 day stint at a budget hotel. The room, furnishings, and bed were clean and quality. The bathroom was clean with enough room, a sink, toilet and tub-cum-shower, with ample supply of toiletries including toothbrush & paste, and razor. The room service was always prompt (and priced identically to the restaurant menu) and the staff quite attentive (I was reasonable with tips). The menu and the buffet breakfast are sort of weighted to the Burmese and Asian preference, but for one meal I tried a burger and fries which were quite good. The only real negative is the construction going on on the major street leading to the one on which the hotel is located. See if your driver can figure out how to avoid most of the delay on the main road where an overpass is being built. This construction might be going on for months yet. Also, the bathroom sink has only cold water, but shower has both hot and cold (you may have to run it a bit to get warm). This hotel is comparable in quality to a US 3.5 star establishment. I will gladly stay there again."

"In a city without anything resembling a genuine airport hotel, the Nice Day hotel was a decent no frills option for a quick overnight stay. It's about a 20-25min drive from the airport, however the hotel provides a free airport pickup service, and cheerfully hailed a cab for us the next morning (cost of our trip back to the airport was approx US$6). Others have commented on the neighbourhood. It's certainly not full of tourist amenities or particularly close to any great attractions, but nor would I consider it an unsafe area. It's just a normal Yangon neighbourhood without any of the more western, sanitised options that you find in the touristy or expat areas. As such, it has a nicely genuine feel to it, though some would consider it too gritty and chaotic. We were most impressed by the courtesy and enthusiasm of the staff, who definitely provided a level of service above that expected at this price. In every other way, it's just a clean, basic, anonymous option at a cheap price. It was great for our quick layover at the end of our Burma trip, prior to an early international departure. It would be less good at the start of a trip, as it's definitely not Yangon's most attractive neighbourhood."

"Inle Valley Bed and Breakfast is a lovely get away from the hectic streets of Yangon. The staff makes it a hotel that I will return to with my family. I recommend that when you book, request either room 303 or 302. Both are large and spacious and worth the extra Kyat. What sets Inle Valley Bed and Breakfast apart from many other hotels and inns in Yangon are the owners and their staff. We let our 8 year old daughter roam the grounds without worries. The staff played bandmitton with her and kept a watchful eye while doing their duties. It is less than 10 minutes to the airport and set back off Pyay Rd about 200 feet, but feels like you are far removed from the city."

"First of all, it was difficult to find this place. I got a map from agoda and passed it to taxi drivers but we lost once. If I havent had a mobile with GPS, I wouldnt have reached there for a while. The hotel has 4 stories with no elevator so if your room is 4th floor, you should use steps. There has internet service available but only at robbie area. I only stayed a room with no window one night. If you plan to stay 2 more nights, I offer room with windows if available... I do not recommend this hotel if you are traveler because you have to take a taxi to go downtown and uptown. It costs about 5 US dollars... but needed a room near the airport, it would be ok. "
