Basic accommodation, could be improved”
Mingalar Par is a hostel with simple but clean dorms, right at the center of Yangon. Staff is young and really friendly and included breakfast is basic. The beds have clean linens and curtains for privacy -- my only complaint would be about the ground floor dorm: it stays too close to the reception and the street, to the point that anybody who walks in can see where guests are sleeping and staying as there is no door. We understand the hostel is a new business and the owner is a young guy who's putting a lot of work on it, so this should come across more as an advice for future improvements. For now, guests should be advised to ask for the first floor dorm, that looks safer and more private than the ground floor one.

there are three great points to recommend you to stay here. Firstly, employees are so kind and friendly. They will try to do their best to respond your request. Secondly, this is the cheapest hostel in Yangon and even Myanmar. So if you wanna save your money, this hostel is suitable for you. Finally, wifi connection is great. you can use line, youtube, and facebook without interruption. These are the reasons why I recommend you to stay here! Surprisingly power outage happened twice during my stay,but except for it, everything was perfect!

I spent 3 nights here at min gala par, the staff although not all spoke English were always helpful and friendly. James the manager was very knowledgable about the area and things to see places to eat. Even helped teach me a few words and phrases in Burmese. I was staying in the top floor female dorm room and most nights had the place to myself. the bathrooms are simple and kept very clean. The only issue is when my partner came to meet me they do not have double rooms so we sadly had to stay somewhere else. And even then we would always pop our heads in to say hello or ask questions at min gala par due to the friendliness of the workers The pod style dorms work a treat. Each one is fitted with a PowerPoint and a light. It also means you don't feel whoevers above you moving around in there sleep. You also feel like you have you're own space even though you're in a dorm Would highly recommend staying here.

Value for Money, Near Railway Station”
first time staying at a capsule hostel, was a pretty good experience at Min Garlar Par Hostel. however, one night the entire power was out so no electricity or air conditioned as there was construction happening on the same street. so you might get unlucky as us! fingers crossed. if not, really near a lot of food options, and markets (both wet and dry) as well.

Perfect for low budget”
Pros: - Very good price - Bed with privacy curtain - 1 light and 2 sockets in bed capsule - Very big locker for backpack + small locker for valuables : both with locker included - Water, tea and coffee available for free - Internet is ok most of the time - Laundry service available - The staff is super friendly and made me feel as comfortable as I am at home - Reception open 24/7 (you can ring the doorbell if the door is closed) - Breakfast is simple: 1 hardboiled egg, 2 slices of toasted bread, 1 banana, some butter, coffee or tea Cons: - If it is expected to throw the toiletpaper in a garbage bin, they should empty it more often - Reception and beds on ground floor are in the same room, I would suggest to build a moving wall / sliding door inbetween the 2 spaces - especially for using during the night - Sometimes a little bit too cold inside because of the AC Comparing the price and what you get for it, I think this is the best place you can have in Myanmar.

Very Nice Reception”
The place is nicely located. Not far from train station and the center. Nice reception and okay for us to change to a different bed last min. The downside is the shower it feels a bit dirty and such an eyesore due to lack of renovation. Owner should consider renovating it by putting some new flooring and wall to make it look clean. Other than that, everything else is fantastic. Great value for money.

New, cheap and next to trainstation!”
Location is ideal when travelling by train. Sule pagoda is nearby, good local (indian) restaurants nearby, gym next door... Beds are fine, cubes with curtains. When you are a ligt sleeper, I suggesties checking which of the 3 floors (each with their own dorm) is most quiet. Breakfast is basic. Staff speaks enough English to help you with anything you want. When I was here, the owners had a deal: book through agoda and get one night free! Check beforehand whether this offer is still valid. Cheers!

Nice place to sleep with budget hostel”
it was my first time bunk bed hotel for traveling. and wowwww never thought that it is going to be cozy place with a very very nice bed to sleep. even with not that clean restroom but with this budget. it is acceptable. would recommend to try. i love the bed there soft and comfy. staff are also nice, been bought avocado for my breakfast and the staff helping me to peel it with their service-minded.

Good place to rest if thats all you need”
Stayed here for 9 hours just to have a place to rest while waiting for my flight out. The capsule was clean and the place was quiet, and it had its own night light and power socket. It gave enough privacy and space to be comfortable. At the price I paid it was good value. The bathroom though could have been cleaner. The toilets were especially cramped. But at that price I guess you shouldn't complain.

Cheap and big box for your staying ”
Toilet must be renovate better than this. Hostel near the road so sometime will noisy from ppl outside some more the boy.. staffs there will make nosies that make unquiet. Oh a night I was there I think they off air con Cos I feel very hot and can't sleep peacefully.

Fantastic Staff ! ”
Very nice stay! The staff was just so helpful at any time. The beds were perfectly clean. The Bathrooms were old, but okay. If you dont want a sleeping Box, thats in the same room as the reception is, there are 10 more boxes on the First floor.

Maybe have jam or something with the toast? -needs a better common area to hang out in, but it's not a big place.
