“Convenient location but terrible service”
We came for a tournament taking place at Murrayfield park - the location of this accommodation could not have been better. However, when we tried to check-in (well within the advertised check-in time), we could not get in. There was literally nobody around, none of the four listed phone numbers on the app or signs at the door were on/responding. After 45 minutes of knocking, ringing and walking around the house, we finally managed to get in thanks to other guests just coming out, that told us the door password. We happened to find keys for two different rooms in a basket near the door, and proceeded to pick one (both facing the street, despite putting in a request for a yard-situated window). About half an hour later we got a call from someone running the place, as they found our missed calls. Cool, we just wasted time, almost being late for the tournament, but whatever. The room was relatively noisy (to be expected from the street-facing room), but the sheets, carpet and bathroom were clean and neat. I can't say the same thing about the kettle which was mouldy and therefore useless, when we tried to boil some water. When we were leaving in the morning, we bumped into equally stunned guests unable to get in, same story we experienced just the day before. 150GBP for this level of service is just too much, I would not mind so much for a third of that, but come on.
