Awesome place to stay. Highly recommended!!!”
This place is absolutely AMAZING. One of the best overall experiences we have ever had in a hotel. First of all the staff are really wonderful. Our overnight bus from Bagan unexpectedly arrived very early at 2am (!!!) and the staff checked us in when we arrived. We were expecting to pay for an extra night but we were only asked to pay a small amount for an extra breakfast! They also gave us great advice about what to do around Kalaw and how to go about organizing a trek. The two owners speak very fluent English - unusual in Myanmar. The rooms were also fantastic - fully self contained villas with a king bed and huge bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful and was served in the beautiful garden. The only small negative, although not their fault, was the Wifi. It was largely unusable due to problems with the connection to the town. When I asked about it, the owner straight away offered me the connection on his personal mobile to tether off to book my onward accommodation. He also gave us a lift in the early morning to the meeting place for our trek. Amazing stuff. We would highly recommend Nature Land as THE place to stay in Kalaw and would definitely stay there again if we ever go back.

Gem off the beaten path ”
Nature Land is a great place to stay in Kalaw - it's in the perfect location, just off the beaten path, in a residential area (so you feel a bit like a local). Close to all the trekking and tour offices, but with a quick phone call a rep will come to you and discuss a possible route. Close to all the market and all the restaurants as well. The staff and owners were really friendly and helpful. They even booked our bus tickets to Inle Lake and drove us to the bus stop the day we left. The complimentary breakfast was great and served each morning at their al fresco tables around the property. The grounds and room were clean and well maintained. We had an issue with the hot water on our second night, but as soon as we told the staff they fixed the problem.

Excellent!”
We spent a lovely Time at Nature Land Hotel. We arrived with the night bus at 2am and then gave us a free room for the rest of the night. Then we had our own room, which was very clean and very big. The breakfast is also great because you have a lot of different choice and the staff is incredibly kind! Also, the place is beautiful because it is very quiet and very Green! I recommend this place

Beatifull place, comfortable and friendly ”
Because of hot water issue, they upgraded our standard room to a supervisor which was awesome. Very quiet in a beautiful garden surrounding, this family run place is only 10 minutes walk from town center and a walking distance from all other attractions in Kalaw. Free transport to the bus station. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to stay ”
Was only able to stay here for one night, but after a long bus ride and arriving in Kalaw at 5am we were welcomed heartily and allowed to geg into the room right away. Thus place is just beautifully done, breakfast is good, people are very friendly and I wish I could have stayed longer.

Nature Land is lovely”
The staff at Nature land were really sweet and helpful. They helped me book activities unrelated to the hotel and were always super friendly. The breakfast was really good too, Eggs, Fruit, juice tea or coffee. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Location is about 15 minute walk into town, but is in a very peaceful location so wasn't really an issue.

A well-priced option.”
Good rooms, simple bathrooms. Kind of a "outdoors" vibe up on a hill half-overlooking Kalaw. Great English from the owner, knowledgeable about the area and options. Breakfast is a feast. And all at a great price (for the cheapest rooms). Definitely would recommend.

Very cold”
It was very cold in Kalaw in the evening and there were not enough blankets. I was better cared for in my homestays on my trek and warmer. The lighting in the bungalow could be adjusted because there is one very bright light that ruined the atmosphere. No curtains on the windows made me feel like there was no privacy and it was difficult to sleep since there was a bright light outdoor outside my window. No screens on the bathroom window meant a lot of bugs came in as well. Very thin walls meant I could hear EVERYTHING next door and anyone walking around, and the dogs barking all night. The breakfast was large and I was happy about this. In the daytime the area is very beautiful and I enjoyed it then. The wifi never worked at all during my stay and when I inquired, she basically shrugged. They should not advertise wifi if it’s normal for it to not work. I didn’t connect even for one second Shower was strong and HOT though and good amenities in the room. Walkable to town.

Nice location as the name says.”
We had a pleasant stay at the Nature Land Hotel. The staff was very helpful even when we arrived in the morning at 4 AM after a long bus ride.

Beautiful location ”
The location as well as the atmosphere can only be recommended. Unfortunately their service is not the best - it's not that they are unfriendly, just a bit slow. E.g. we ordered beer - and they went out to another store to get us - which is nice but we ended up waiting for an hour. Another example - they did not change the bedsheets from warm season to cold season yet - and Kalaw gets freezing cold at night. But - as I said, good atmosphere, good location and good food as well.

Nice bungalows 10 minutes from the center of Kalaw”
I arrived from Mandalay very early in the morning (around 2am) and was able to check in immediately tough my reservation was for the following night. Hotel is located 10 minutes away from the center (by walking), and quite difficult to find by night, so a taxi is needed to join the hotel the first time. Breakfast is OK, and the bathroom was a little dirty. Except for that, bungalows are really nice, the place very quiet, the staff really helpful, and I spent an excellent day in Kalaw before the begining of my trek to Inle. Wifi is also available near the lobby, but not from the bungalows.

Perfect for one night, before trekking!”
Our stay in Nature Land Hotel was a one-night-stop, before doing a 3-days-trekking in the beautiful countryside and mountains all around. The staff was very nice and available (they helped us to find a guide). The room was very simple and convenient, surrounded by nature and trees, perfect for this kind of stay.

Good budget option with helpful staff”
The staff are very kind, I arrived at 4am on the night bus from Yangon and they let me into my room to sleep a night early and have breakfast the next morning (so I got 1.5 nights for the price of 1). They were also very helpful in arranging the trek from Kalaw to Inle lake and got a great guide for us. I was travelling solo so $25 for a room was expensive for me, but as an advantage I had a two bed room and could use all the blankets for myself (it was very cold at night in December!)

Cute Hotel but...”
My girlfriend and I booked a stay here for a quick night before starting our trek to Inle in the morning. Unfortunately they managed to miss our reservation and had overbooked, but thankfully were able to quickly put us in a room at their other location - aptly named "Nature Land Hotel 2". NLH 2 itself is a cute series of cottages going down a hill (lots of stairs!) with tons of foliage, a nice patio for breakfast, and overall seemed to be well maintained/clean inside (amazing hot water pressure!). Unfortunately, we both got some kind of rash or bite marks that we think might have been bed bugs? Neither of us have ever encountered them before so its hard to be certain, but the marks on my arm took about 4 days to go away while those on her ankle took only 2 days. The room we received also happened to be at the verrrrry back and bottom of the hotel area, right next to the housing where it appears some of the workers live/stay. This wasn't a problem except that there tended to be quite a bit of talking/music at night and in the morning, which could be an issue for light sleepers.

Good, but could be better”
The website mentions air con and tv, we didn't have any of them (not even a fan in the room). It was no hot water during the day (only in morning) However we really appreciated that the staff was able to provide us a portable air conditioner ( we didn't ask for the tv, which had no signal of any sort, be antenna cable or satellite).Wifi here is also much worse than in any hotel we have experienced in Myanmar. The staff was great, and wonderfully arranged or bus ticket (including the courtesy ride at the bus station) and excursion trip. We really liked the outdoor setting for the beak fast ( and breakfast was good too). Overall, with a bit of effort, the hotel could hit 3 stars: it has a wonderful setting (bungalows) worth compensating its extent red location, but the owner could need to invest more in the facility... And the garden which could get more attention (and water) too... A porta

Great breakfast! Reception staff very accommodating. Restaurant wait staff well trained.”
The garden surrounding the cottages provided the natural cover despite the hotel's location within the vicinity of a residential area. But the very loud music coming from the street behind the property wiped out the serenity that the flowers and plants in the garden hoped to provide. Also, water from the bathroom has this funny (foul) smell. I wish this has been brought to management's attention so they can check it out. But overall, I was pleased with my stay and given the opportunity, I would stay in this place again.

Highly recommended! Very relaxed and nice hotel ”
We arrived very early in hhe morning and were still able to check in. We had to change afterwards but staff was really friendly and helpful. The bungalows are the most pretty rooms we have stayed so far with a huge bathroom and nice furniture. Sheets were clean but had some leftover stains but that's even where in Myanmar. Breakfast was incredible, a kind if 3 course menu with eggs and pancakes. The hotel is a 15min walk to the central places but it was so calm with a pretty bamboo garden we just loved it after the quite hectic Yangon. Highly recommended!

Excellent”
Very customer-focused, the staff is extremely dedicated and kind (which is common in Myanmar). Staff does everything possible to help you and feel at ease. Large, confortable and convenient room. Nice atmosphere. Bungalows sit in a beautiful garden. Very nice and relaxing environment. Poor wifi performance during our entire stay (common in Myanmar). It was a pleasant stay, good for a couple of nights. Good value by Myanmar standards. Myanmar hotels are expensive by south east Asia standards...

Exceptional”
After 3 weeks in Myanmar we can easily admit that it is the best hotel in this country. Huge garden outside, bungalows are extremely spacious and well maintained with all needed facilities. Superb bed and separated toiled. Wonderful and tasty breakfast. Staff will help you with everything. They let us check in at 5.30 am which is something great! After many hours in a bus we were so happy about that. You can rent a scooter or bikes. At the beginning we planned to stay one night yet we stayed 3 and we were disappointed that we have to leave according to our plans.
